Edo Queens tactician, Moses Aduku, is unperturbed by the presence of Ghanaian club, Hasaacas Ladies and their other Group B opponents in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers slated for Cote d’Ivoire.
The Benin Arsenal were drawn in Group B for the WAFU B zone tournament against Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana), Omnisports Etincele (Burkina Faso) and AS Garde National (Niger) at the end of Wednesday’s draw in Abidjan.
Aduku said the draw will rekindle the age long rivalries between Nigeria and Ghana and that they are going to Abidjan for serious business as they hope to pick the ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League proper.
He assured that Edo Queens are well focused and aren’t scared of any side in their battle for glory.
“We have seen the draws, we know that Nigeria and Ghana are age long rivalries in the round leather game,” Aduku said.
“We are going out to Cote d’Ivoire to play football not for jamboree, every team participating in this champions league is important, we are going there with one thing in mind that is to play and win. So it is a serious business for Edo Queens and for Nigeria.

“We are not depending on man but God. I’m quite aware that we have a big task ahead of us, my girls are not scared of any team. We are going for war and we are ready to fight.”
Aduku led Edo Queens to win their first NWFL Premiership title in 2024. Which marked the Benin Ladies first major title wins in their existence.
In a related development, the camp of Hasaacas Ladies has been thrown into disarray following the reported resignation of its Chief Executive Officer of the club, Paa Kwesi Arbuah.
Arbuah reportedly said he can no longer handle the backlash as people continuously blame him for the woes of the club.
” People always blame me for the problems of the club, and I feel I’m not the club’s problem, so it’s just fair for me to resign and offer help as I have always done,” Arbuah lamented
