    NiMet predicts sunny, cloudy weather for Tuesday

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over Central States of the country on Tuesday with partly cloudy conditions over Lokoja, Makurdi and Ilorin.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Monday in Abuja, also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 29 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius and 13 to 22 degrees Celsius.

    The agency predicted that Southern States would experience cloudiness over the inland throughout the day with cloudy conditions over the coastal cities in the morning hours.

    It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Yenogoa, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Warri and Benin in the afternoon and evening period with day and night temperatures in the range of 32 degrees Celsius to 36 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.

    According to NiMet, Northern States will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 34 degrees Celsius to 38 and 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    “Sunny and hazy conditions are most likely over the north, down to the central cities, while isolated thunderstorms are expected over some parts of the coastal cities within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.

    Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather condition over central states of the country on Saturday morning.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Friday in Abuja also predicted thunderstorm over Abuja, Lokoja, Makurdi, Lafia, Ibi, Mambilla and environs in the afternoon and evening hours.

    It added that the central states would have day and night temperatures in the range of 29 to 34 degrees celsius and 18 to 24 degrees celsius.

    The agency predicted that southern states would experience cloudy conditions in the morning, with chances of scattered thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt and environs.

    It also predicted chances of localised thunderstorms over the region in the afternoon and evening hours, with day and night temperatures of 28 to 33 and 21 to 24 degrees celsius.

    According to NiMet, northern states will experience morning hazy condition over Yelwa, Gusau, Katsina, Kano and Sokoto and dust haze in the range of three to four kilometres in Maiduguri, Potiskum, Dutse and Nguru.

    It noted that later in the day, most parts of the north would experience sunny and hazy conditions, with day and night temperatures of 34 to 39 and 19 to 22 degrees celsius.

    It stated that dust haze with visibility range of 3-5km would prevail in extreme northern cities, with sunny and hazy conditions, partly cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms over the central and southern region in the next 24 hours.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency ( NiMet ) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions with isolated thunderstorms in the central states’ cities of Makurdi, Abuja, Jos, Lafia, Mambila and Yola on Tuesday morning.

    NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Monday in Abuja also predicted thunderstorms over Yelwa, Jos, Abuja, Kaduna, Ilorin, Minna and Lokoja in the afternoon and evening hours.

    It added that the central states would experience day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 32 and 17 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

    The agency predicted that southern states would experience chances of morning thunderstorms and rains with localised thunderstorms and in the afternoon and evening hours.

    It states that the southern states would have day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 31 and 20 to 28 degrees Celsius respectively.

    According to NiMet, northern states will experience partly cloud-to-cloudy conditions in the morning hours with sunny to partly cloudy conditions later in the day.

    “The region will experience chances of thundery activities with rains over Jalingo, Bauchi, Gombe, Gusau and Yelwa with day and night temperatures of 31 to 35 and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

    “We expect cloudy and partly cloudy conditions in the northern cities while thunderstorms and rain showers are likely over most places around the central cites and southern states in the next 24 hours,” NiMet said.

    The agency predicted thunderstorms over Jos, Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna, Lafia, Lokoja and Bauchi in the afternoon.

    It predicted that the Southern States would experience cloudy morning with prospect of rains over Badagry, Calabar, Ikom and Eket with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

    It also predicted thunderstorms over Osogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Benin, Enugu, Abakaliki, Yenagoa, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket in the afternoon and evening hours.

    According to NiMet, the Northern States will experience cloudy morning with prospect of thunderstorm over Maiduguru, Yola and Nguru and thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Jigawa and Yobe in the afternoon.

    “The region is anticipated to have day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 38 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

    “More rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours due to the presence of moisture at the lower level over the country,” NiMet predicted.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the Central States of the country on Tuesday.

    It said in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Monday in Abuja that there were also prospects of localized morning thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Mambilla, Yelwa and Bida.

    Similarly, it predicted prospects of localized thunderstorms over Minna, Abuja, Lafia, Jos, Makurdi, Jalingo and Yola later in the day.

    The agency added that the central region would have day and night temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    It predicted increased morning cloudiness with localized rain over the Southern States of Port Harcourt and Calabar with day and night temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    It also stated that localized thunderstorms may be recorded at Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki, Yenogoa, Warri, Port Harcourt and Eket during the evening and night period.

    According to NiMet, Northern States will experience partly cloudy-to-cloudy conditions in the morning, with prospects of localized thunderstorms over Sokoto, Kano, Dutse, Gusau and Maiduguri in the afternoon and evening.

    The region will also have day and night temperature of 39 degrees Celsius to 44 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.

    “Increased cloudiness with prospects of localized thunderstorms is expected over the North and most parts of the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.

    The NiMet’s Weather Outlook issued by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Friday in Abuja, predicted chances of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Jalingo, Markurdi, Mambilla and its environs.

    It added localized thunderstorms would prevail over the high ground areas of Abuja in the afternoon and evening hours with maximum temperatures of 27 to 33 degrees Celsius.

    The agency also predicted that the southern states would experience increased cloudiness in the morning with probability of localised rains over Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu.

    It also predicted localized thunderstorms/rain showers over Delta, Bayelsa and Lagos, Benin, Akure, Ibadan, Owerri and Awka during the afternoon and evening hours with maximum temperatures of 28 to 32 degrees Celsius.

    NiMet predicted cloudy to partly cloudy conditions over the northern states in the morning with thundery activities later in the day and maximum temperatures of 32 to 37 degrees Celsius.

    According to the prediction, rainfall activities are expected to occur over some parts of the country with varying intensities in the next 24 hours.

    NiMet also predicted partly cloudy conditions in the morning over northern states with isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, potiskum and Nguru later in the day with maximum temperatures of 32 to 34 degrees Celsius.

    The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted morning rains over Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Jalingo, Ibi and Mambilla Plateau on Saturday.

    The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO), in Abuja on Friday.

    It added that thunderstorms would prevail over Ilorin, Kaduna, Bida, Minna, Suleja and Lokoja in the afternoon and evening with maximum day time temperatures of 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

    The agency predicted that morning monsoon rains would prevail over the coastal areas of Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Eket and Warri and the inland cities of the south-east.

    It also predicted that isolated rains and thunderstorms would prevail over the south-east and south-west in the evening with maximum day time temperatures of 27 to 29 degrees Celsius.

    NiMet further predicted that the northern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning with afternoon and evening thunderstorms and day time temperatures of 28 to 32 degrees Celsius.
