Ahead of the forthcoming CAF CHAN 2024 to be jointly-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda later this month, the CHAN Eagles intensified their training session yesterday in Ikenne, Ogun State with additional five players joining the fray.
On Monday, the team’s preparation began in earnest with 21 players and the quintent of Musa Zayad ( El-Kanemi Warriors); Aminu Adam (Kano Pillars);Anas Yusuf (Nasarawa United);Godwin Obaje (Rivers United) and Kabiru Mohammed (Kwara United), swelled the number of players that took part in Tuesday’s session under Franco-Malian coach Eric Sekou Chelle to 26.
Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, had hinted on Monday that the additional 14 invited players were expected on Tuesday but only five actually joined yesterday’s evening training .

Nigeria is drawn in a tricky Group D along with defending champions Senegal , Congo and Sudan.
