The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the all-time social activist made the disclosure in a post on his Instagram page on Friday.

He wrote: “Google defines the figure “999” as an angelic number and a dawn of new beginnings.

“It’s a signal, a red alert that you’re about to read the unapologetic truth about the self-styled President of all Frustrated Nigerians.

“This book is not a biography. It’s a battleground. The Ugly, the Bad and the very Good. It’s a collection of live experiences that would make even the boldest screenwriters cringe.

Oputa, also called AreaFada said he had seen things, fought personal wars, rebelled against and disowned his parents married four times before he turned 36 and also danced with danger and dabbled in the spiritual.

He added that he dared to be different when it wasn’t safe, refused to be defined by his shadow and created his own thunder which is unforgettable, loud, defiant.

“For over 40 years, he used the CharlyBoy brand to challenge Nigeria’s hypocrisy. To provoke, awaken, and give voice to the silenced. Was he controversial? Yes.Rebellious? Certainly.“But also relentlessly real.”

“Because in sharing his struggle, he hopes to give others permission to heal. Now, he’s channeling that same energy into a mission: Men’s health. Men’s truth. Men’s wellness.

“It’s time we stop pretending and start living fully.”999″ is not just a memoir. It’s a challenge. A confession. A revolution. And above all Charles Emeka Oputa’s truth. Coming soon.Buckle up,” he said.

  • Charlyboy remains our leader, says ‘Ourmumudondo’ group

Executives and members of ‘OurMumuDonDo’ Movement, a civil society group that advocates good political leadership, on Tuesday said that  Charles Oputa,a.k.a Charlyboy, remained their leader.

Mrs Folake Agunbiade, who is the Knowledge Management and Learning Manager of the group, stated at a press conference in Abuja.

Agunbiade described as baseless, trending reports in social media, that Charlyboy had been relieved of his position as the group’s leader because of an alleged financial misdeed.

“In this wise, the management of Ourmumudondo restates that there is no change in the corporate governance of the movement, and Mr Charles Oputa (aka CharlyBoy) remains the chairman of the organisation.

“We acknowledge several social media reports on the alleged transaction between Charlyboy and Mr Festus Keyamo, Spokesperson of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation.”

“The organisation wishes to state clearly that the alleged transaction did not arise from or on behalf of its activities or projects, and therefore it has no implication for our credibility as a movement.

“We want all Nigerians of goodwill to know that the allegations and counter allegations have no bearing on the movement and its activities,” She said.

Agunbiade, however, acknowledged that there were misunderstandings between some members of the group, but added that its leadership was working towards reconciling all aggrieved members.

“The movement is conducting an internal review and establishing protocols for public engagements that will forestall any likelihood of conflict arising from its operators.”

NAN recalls that Mr Deji Adeyanju, an activist and estranged member of Ourmumudondo, recently released an audio recording, alleging that Charlyboy agreed to receiving money from Mr Festus  Keyamo, Spokesperson of   President Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation.

According to Adeyanju, the said payment was a ‘settlement’ for a musical video produced by Charlyboy to smear the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

Adeyanju and some members then called for the removal of Charlyboy as the group’leader, saying he compromised with the “enemy”.

However, Charlyboy, explained that he released such videos, one each against both the APC and PDP presidential candidates on the eve of the 2019 General Elections, but was not paid by anyone.

He added that he remained non-partisan, and was neither in support of any political party, as his yearnings was for the not-too-young-to–run mantra to strive.

“For someone to believe that I collected money in nine digits from a politician for a video clip is laughable, because even if I am Davido or Wizkid, who will pay me such amount.

“Some persons are bent on denting the brand that I have built over the years, but I am not deterred because the struggle for a better Nigeria must continue, and my mouth cannot be shut,” he said.(NAN)

  • Charlyboy weds wife in church after 40 years

Nigerian showbiz maestro and rights activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charlyboy, has formally walked his American wife, Diane, down the aisle after 40 years of marriage.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the marriage produced three children.

Charlyboy and Diane exchanged marriage  vows on Saturday evening at the Chapel of Sisters of Jesus the Redeemer Catholic Church in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

The low-keyed wedding was officiated by the outspoken Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Dioceses, Bishop Mathew  Kukah, and had in attendance close friends and relatives of the couple, including the aged mother of Charlyboy.

The Archbishop of Abuja Catholic Diocese, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, was also in attendance among some other clergymen.

The couple exchanged the “I do” vows amidst cheers from the congregation.

They thereafter signed the marriage register.

Onaiyekan, in his exhortation, hailed the couple for staying together for over four decades.

He, however, urged them to be committed to their marriage vows by showing mutual love, understanding and respect for each other.

”I specially congratulate Charles and his wife for this Godly decision, and I pray God to keep them together.”

Charlyboy told NAN on the sidelines that he and his wife decided to wed in church to honour his aged mother who had been ‘pleading that we do the right thing’.

He told NAN that he got married as a teenager in 1974, and secured divorced after the union produced one child.

He noted that the Catholic Church observed a strict marital doctrine.

”This is not that kind of marriage with fanfare; I am doing it to please my aged mother and meet certain demands of the society.

”She has been pleading that we do the right thing, saying this is the woman I have been living with for 40 years.

”We have been following through with the process of annulment of my last marriage, and my former wife who has since remarried cooperated very well, and then in 2017, the marriage was formally annulled.

”My mother actually got the wife for me at the age of 19 because I was a little rascally with women as a young man; she thinks it would curb my sexual excesses,” he said.

Charlyboy, who is 67 years, has nine children from different women, and has 16 grandchildren.

He has, however, always regarded  Diane as the mother of all his children. (NAN)

  • Charlyboy’s group takes `vote buying’ campaign to Osun

The OurMumuDonDo civil society group led by Charles Oputa,a.k.a Charly boy , on Monday held a public campaign against vote- buying in Osun, ahead of the governorship election on September, 22.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that members of the group, drawn from across the country, took the “Don’t sell your Vote” campaign across major streets, markets and parks in Osogbo.

According to the conveners, the rally is part of the Voters Education initiative of the group to ensure that ordinary Nigerians get rightly involved in governance and hold leaders accountable to their campaign promises.

Charlyboy, popularly known as “Areafada”, said that vote-buying was an increasing menace to Nigeria democracy that must be curbed on time if the nation wants selfless and competent leaders.

“As a group that is genuinely interested in good leadership at all levels in Nigeria, we do not want the incidence of alleged massive vote-buying that took place in Ekiti, to happen here in Osun state.

“We are here to tell the electorate that, as they go to the poll on Saturday, they should not sell their votes for any other monetary value, and then suffer for the next 4years.

“The ordinary people here in the market and on the streets, need to know that they must not allow desperate politicians to take advantage of hunger in the land, to rob them of their future,” he said.

Also, Mr Deji Adeyanju, a co-convener of the ‘Ourmumudondo’ group said: “Election should not be seen as a business transaction where there are sellers and buyers.

“All we want is a society that works for everyone at the end of the day, instead of mortgaging our future for stipends,” he said.

Mr Ariyo-Dare Atoye, also a co-convener of the group, told NAN on the sideline that the campaign was a timely intervention to savage the Nigerian electorates from the hand of selfish politicians.

He lamented that desperate politicians were taking advantage of the current economic challenges facing the average Nigerian voter to manipulate them with money.

“A lot of our politicians have nothing to offer the people other than money, and that is why we are preaching that people should not sell their future for five thousand naira.

“Vote-buying is a hurricane that will eventually kill all of us if not stopped, “he said.

NAN reports that the group also visited the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation and other stakeholders in Osogbo with the anti-vote buying message.

The con Men of God – Charlyboy

    O boy, Na wa oooo!

The way most Nigerians dey take carry matter for head dey crack my ribs. True true, I no lie when I say “Nigerians are the most Arrogantly Ignorant bunch of people.”

Many times I know say our Mumu no Get photocopy.

Just because I say many Naija pastors Na con men, come see reactions.

    But, I send anybody?

Don’t get me wrong, I know there are some genuine prophets out there, but most so-called Men of God are nothing but a con. Just like it is hard to find a real friend, a real lover, a real leader, and a real anything, it is also very hard to find a selfless man propagating the ethos of the enigma called God. In essence, not everyone who mention God truly knows God.

I remember when I was “in the world”

Charlyboy Willy Willy no start today oooo!!!!

In 1972, as a student of Holy Ghost college Owerri, in Imo State, I built and contrived a reputation of the strongest “Native Doctor” in Owerri. This my hustle no get part 2.

I made fake charms and prayed for Fellow students to pass their exams, many came to me, many carried my story to all nooks and crannies in Imo state. They swore that I was a spirit. I was the most feared in school, by the teachers and Principal not to mention the students.

Holy Ghost college in 1972/1973 won the Nigerian Secondary School Cup. I was the man behind our goal post, through my charms and invocation the ball always deviated, but the few times our opponent scored could always be explained away. The Mumu’s who paid me on behalf of the school, forgot we had the best players in Nigeria then. All sorts of unbelievable stories were rife about me. People ascribed to me all kinds of supernatural powers. Meeeen I was living off the ignorant Mumu’s around.

Long and short of this story, I made crazy money off this scam. I was the fucking richest student. I was feared, people swore I had develisih powers (some still do). They didn’t understand it was all a con game, and I was on top of my game.

If you like, call police, or curse me.

I would say most pastors, men of god at home or overseas are con artists in the sense of the tactics they use to influence their congregation. Once your thought process becomes irrational you’re easy to Con. Not to talk about the hopelessness and the uncertainty that abounds in our life and country today. It’s amazing, really, the amount of mental gymnastics and compartmentalising rational people need to do in their lives with this kinda uncertainty in our country, where best to turn to but religion. Our Opium.

Forget, most of these pastors are sociopaths who know religion is a easy gig for easy money. However, even the sincere ones get corrupted, and they love the praise of preaching what people want to hear.

Makachukwu, anybody wey stand up to claim say him hear the voice of God, say God talk to am, all dat kin yarn, just to make some cash, is DEFINITELY either a con artist or mentally ill. I have a hard time believing that anyone who truly believes in God would dare to put words in his mouth knowing what the Bible says about false prophets.

I know that my people are dying to believe in something especially if it’s magical because we have the messiah complex. Somebody out there will come sooner than later, to make all our problems disappear. Na so. That is why we are paralysed and corrupted by fear, we can’t even stand up to injustice. We are waiting for God to come rescue us. Dey der.

Pentecostalism has promoted miracles over hard work, materialism over spirituality.  Even if one goes into pastoring on a pure and innocent level, you can’t help but be corrupted by easy money when you sell hope and create enemies all over. It is a cool way to make a living and make decisions that bring in the cash.

Pentecostalism na modern-day commercial enterprise garnished in the cloak of religion with deception and exploitation as its foundation.

Their goal na the complete monetisation of people’s ignorance. It remains the only legally and politically accepted movement completely based upon systematic fraud, deception and cheating.

Fuck the con men of God,

Dem crooked theology is all for the Naira.

Charlyboy marks birthday with essay competition

IT is no longer news that the Charlyboy Foundation is currently responsible for the training of many undergraduates across different universities in the country in a bid to continue to empower young and aspiring Nigerians at different levels.

It was gathered that over 20 secondary schools in the FCT converge at the Charlyboy Boulevard, Gwarinpa to receive various awards for the competition and three best students who were able to do justice to the topic earlier sent to the participating schools were rewarded.

According to Joy Egbunu, the empowerment scheme almost coincides with Charlyboy’s birthday, an indication that the best way to mark someone’s birthday is to affect a life. Speaking on the significance of the essay topic, Chizoba Okpara, CBF Progamme Officer said, the topic, “Let no one kill your dream”, is significant to the lives of these young ones who may have started battling with career choices already. Charlyboy’s continuous zeal of holding onto his dream is worthy of emulation, hence the topic.”
