    Oke-Ogun leaders back Aborisade’s gov ambition

    The governorship aspiration of Human Right lawyer, Chief Niyi Aborisade has received a major boost with political leaders and stakeholders across the 10 local government areas of Oke-Ogun pleading support. 

    A statement by the Niyi Aborisade Media Office explained the endorsement came during a joint meeting with top leaders of the region, after series of consultation visits by Aborisade, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State to each of the local government areas.

    The statement said the Oke-Ogun leaders, after extensive deliberations, expressed unanimous commitment to work collectively towards the rrealisation of Chief Aborisade’s ambition to become the next Governor.

    “There was a rousing and resounding welcome in Oke Ogun. We toured all the 10 local government areas and the jubilant party faithful and residents received us warmly.

    “The leaders promised to work assiduously for the victory of Chief Niyi Aborisade in 2027. They pledged to deliver their councils for the actualisation of the governorship project.”

    Oke-Ogun, a region long considered strategic in Oyo State’s political calculus, is poised to play a decisive role in the 2027 election.

    Aborisade meets PDP leaders in Ibarapa

    Human rights lawyer and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Chief Niyi Aborisade, has met with key party leaders in the Ibarapa zone as part of consultations for his governorship bid.

    Aborisade, who recently declared his intention to contest for governor, was warmly received by PDP members, including youth leaders, during his visit to Ibarapa Central.

    Speaking at the event, Chief Mukaila Aborode, a prominent party leader in the zone, commended Aborisade’s integrity and work ethic, recalling their time together in the United Kingdom where he once served as his supervisor.

    In his address, Aborisade expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership in Ibarapa North for their reception and urged them to support his ambition to lead the state in 2027.

    Kolawole Salako Olanrele, another party chieftain, prayed for Aborisade’s success and assured him of Ibarapa’s backing.

    Other notable attendees included Mr. Niyi Ogunbowale, Youth Coordinator for Ibarapa Central; Olayiwola Ojoogun, PDP Chairman of Ibarapa North; Alhaji Sarafa Babarinde; and Saminu Oyiho.
