Chinwe urges Big Brother to scrap custodian privilege

Big Brother Naija housemate Chinwe has urged Biggie to remove the eviction power from custodians and housemates, stating that it limits their ability to express themselves freely.

Chinwe argued that the current system, where winning pairs and some housemates have a say in nominations and evictions, creates fear among housemates, causing them to hold back on speaking their minds.

She said that by scrapping this method, housemates would be able to be their authentic selves without worrying about being targeted for eviction.

She said: “There’s too much power in this house, so people cannot actually speak their minds. And that makes mad sense. The fact that we have to even walk in there [dairy room] to decide people’s fate is enough to calm you down.

“Do you understand? Biggie should scrap that method. Talk your talk. The fact that we have to decide people’s fate, you wouldn’t want to step on toes to avoid other housemates ganging up against you.”

BBNaija’s Chinwe makes U-turn, says she didn’t sponsor partner Zion

Big Brother Naija contestant Chinwe has retracted she sponsored her boyfriend Zion’s entry into the show.

When questioned by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the eviction show, Chinwe denied making the claim, stating that she only meant she encouraged Zion to participate since he was initially reluctant.

This reversal comes after a disagreement between the couple, where Chinwe accused Zion of not supporting her during a conflict with fellow housemates Onyeka and Chizoba.

As reported by The Nation, Chinwe told DJ Flo that she regretted coming to the show with Zion instead of her best friend.

Zion threatened me with break up if I didn’t apologise to Chizoba – Chinwe

Big Brother Naija contestant Chinwe has revealed the cause of her ongoing conflict with her boyfriend and show partner, Zion.

According to her, the tension began when Zion demanded that she apologize to Chizoba, with whom she had an argument, threatening to end their relationship if she didn’t comply.

Chinwe refused to apologize, believing she was the one who had been insulted and had only defended herself.

According to her,  Zion is trying to portray a certain image at her expense and is unwilling to compromise her mental health for him.

She threatened to leave the show and end their relationship, stating that she won’t be with someone who constantly throws her “under the bus.”

She said: “This is not the first time Zion would be throwing me under the bus. I don’t know the image his trying to portray to other people, but at my expense, its f*cked up.

“Na me dem insult and I defended myself, why do I have to go and apologise to the person that insulted me?

“And I’m telling him that I’m not gonna do it, and the next thing, he’s keeping face. For what? So is he saying, anytime he throws his childish tantrums and I refuse to act the way he wants, he’s gonna act silly towards me at the expense of my feelings and emotions? It’s not done.

“If for anything, I like to keep a straight head, my mental health is 1001 percent paramount to me. I won’t compromise it for anybody. So if this is the emotional roller coaster he’s gonna be taking me through, then f*ck everything we are here for. If we cannot be a team, lets f*cking go home.

“Let’s go home, I have a family that cares about me. I speak to my dad at least five times in a day. My papa no dey use me play, so for one guy, one n*gga to be using me to do this rubbish, I’m done.

“I would not act like what I’m not. If that’s the image he wants to portray, then you know what, we go home, you live your life, I live mine.

“I would not be stuck with a guy that keeps throwing me under the bus, its not possible. A simple I will not do that, the next thing he’s carrying face for me. So I should be begging him up and down?

“He’s saying lets go and pack our bags but just know that once we live here its over between the both of us. He dey threaten me with breakup, me? With breakup? Then lets break up I’m not doing again.”
