Artisans who do no have means of starting their vocations are also benefitting from the humanitarian gestures.”

The cleric urged youths to acquire vocational skills with tertiary institutions’ certificates for them to be job creators instead of job seekers.

He said acquiring University certificates is not enough to secure jobs for graduates in Nigeria, adding that combining this with vocational skills would make brighter future for young Nigerians.

He appealed to wealthy Nigerians to support the nation by using part of their wealth to create jobs and empower youths around them just as he has been doing for eight years now.

“When I heard that I ran out to join my Mom. And then the Prophet prayed for us. After the prayer, the Prophet asked if l was a graduate and l said yes. Right there, the Man of God promised to employ me in his private radio station in Ado-Ekiti.

“I have been learning about Prophet Olu Alo ‘s philanthropic gestures to people, how he blesses many with foodstuffs, cars and several  lifeline, I never knew I would one day also benefit from his generosity and love. Before now, l have nothing to sustain me.

  • Nigeria deserves patriotic, righteous leaders, not political jobbers  – Cleric

Nigeria deserves patriotic, righteous leaders, not political jobbers  – Cleric

The Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo, Grace Of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo has said Nigeria deserves righteous and patriotic leaders in positions of authority, not political jobbers.

The cleric urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop appointing politicians into public offices as way of compensating them.

Speaking at Jesus City, Lekki/Epe express way, the cleric said Tinubu should henceforth appoint experts who could come up with solutions to various challenges facing the nation, saying if such aforementioned people at the helms of affairs, Nigeria would be better.

He lamented that some of those in positions of authority are not thinking towards making positive impact.

According to him: “He are not talking about politicians alone. Even those of us who are men of God, we must have that optimism that Nigeria could be better. You know that there are some men of God in this country who don’t believe this nation could be better.

“They do not have the faith that things could be better. Many now developed countries have actually passed through the current wilderness we are going through.

“But why our pathetic situations persist is because we are yet to have many committed leaders and people in positions of authority. Many who are in positions now are not dedicated, selfless and committed to making things better. God has shown them mercy to attain the height they are now without they sweating for it.but they haven’t been doing well enough.

“My advice is that we need more committed people in positions of authority in Nigeria. We urge our President to ensure that he assigns technocrats, righteous and patriotic leaders in positions of authority. He should do this without considering political associations.

“Our President should not compensate people with political offices but rather assign those who will truly do the job and deliver dividends of democracy for the people. If this is done, Nigeria Wil witness a positive change towards meaningful growth and development.

“The theme of this programme is Exodus, which means, God is breathing life into lives . He will ensure that His people experience miracles that would turn around their lives for better. God is always ready to assist righteous people. Being righteous is not by always going to church. That is different.

“We must ensure that we have a true and sincere relationship with God. The Bible makes us to understand that God says that l know.my people and my people also know me. True men of God cannot be identified by their clothes or face or appearance, their character and actions are germane.

“We must all have it in mind that we should always be righteous and live a righteous life and realize that one day we shall give account of all that we do here on earth.”

“My Father in the Lord, Prophecy Sam Olu Alo is a man endowed with grace, he is a helper and I have really enjoyed the grace of God in his life. I have really enjoyed working with him. He is God’s general. He is a father indeed. God has been helping and using to amend, rebuild and reshapen many destinies and lives.

“His life is a challenge to us, and an inspiration to may of us. I pray the Lord will continue to strengthen him the more to lift many more lives. We are also toeing his path and would love to impart positively on lives as he is doing ,” he advised.

“I want to believe that if we are able to correct our ways and do the right thing at the right time , we would have a very good economy. Nigeria is a blessed country . Trust me, I am sure fellow Nigerians would agree with me on that Nigeria is greatly blessed in all ways. We have tremendous human and material resources.”

  • ‘Buhari will lead Nigeria beyond 2019’

A renowned cleric, Prophet Christopher Owolabi, on Tuesday, predicted that the tenure of the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari would extend beyond 2019.

Owolabi, General Overseer Christ Apostolic Church Ori-Oke, Irapada, Omu-Aran, made the prediction during the Church’s crossover night service tagged: “Seeking for Nigeria’s Democratic Sustenance Beyond 2019” in Omu-Aran, Kwara.

The cleric told the gathering that the prediction was not borne out of any personal or political interest whatsoever, but God’s divine guidance and direction for the country.

He also predicted a rapid socio-economic recovery for the country in the New Year, saying the leaders needed the urgent intercession of the citizens through prayers to consolidate on the gains of the government’s anti-corruption fight.

According to him, “it is based on God’s interest in directing the affairs of the country at this critical period of its history as it is revealed to me”.

Owolabi said election of leaders in the country presently has gone beyond personalities or individuals but through a divine intervention.

“No matter any act of political commission or omission, God is the one presently in control and directing the affairs of the country,” he said.

Owolabi, who was known to have made many predictions as regard the nation’s current affairs including the emergence of Sen. Bukola Saraki as the leader of the 8th Senate, urged politicians to play according to the rules.

He said: “the present leadership in piloting the affairs of this great nation as was revealed to me will extend beyond 2019 and there is going to be a brighter light at the end of the tunnel socially and economically.

The cleric who decried the incessant killings, kidnappings, armed robbery and backbiting that had pervaded the land, urged Nigerians to learn from their past mistakes, misdeeds and shortcoming by embracing righteousness in the New Year.

Owolabi also used the opportunity to advise government to urgently formulate a clear cut policy toward stemming the negative trend associated with social media platforms, especially as it concerned the youthful age bracket.

“It is very glaring that the country is dangerously heading to a halt as far as hate speech, intolerance, religious and ethnic bigotry being perpetrated through social media platform are concerned.

“Such needs to be treated by government as a matter of urgent national importance to move the country forward,” he said.

He urged religious leaders, traditional rulers and parents in the country to use their preachings, counseling and parental advice in ensuring a reliable and productive future for the youths whom are regarded as the leaders of tomorrow.

“The future of our nation depends largely on the readiness and preparedness of our teeming youths in terms of quality educational background, information and technological advancement in taking over the mantle of leadership.

“This to me should be the major preoccupation of our religious leaders, traditional rulers and parents alike,” he said.

  • ‘Daddy Freeze, a confused man’

For his ceaseless verbal attacks on Christian leaders, the Senior Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Chapel of Testimony Lagos Pastor Bunmi Babatunde has declared popular On-Air-Personality (OAP) Daddy Freeze as a confused man.

Babatunde alleged Freeze was being driven by the passion to destroy the church with his rabid criticisms of popular preachers in the nation.

He spoke at the church’s 20th anniversary last Sunday.

The OAP, who has been having running battles with church leaders over doctrinal issues and practices, last week came down hard on the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith church, Bishop David Oyedepo.

He queried why Bishop Oyedepo maintained the name of a city, Shiloh, which God destroyed in the Bible.

He spoke just as the church rounded off its annual convention tagged Shiloh, which attracted participants from within and outside the nation.

Peeved by the attacks, Babatunde described Freeze as a feeble instrument in the hands of the devil to bring down the church in Nigeria.

He argued the OAP and the men of God he attack are not in the same league.

“Academically and otherwise both Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Davide Oyedepo, whom he had consistently attack are not in the same league with him.

“For instance, Pastor Adeboye had been a renowned academic with a Ph.D. in Mathematics before becoming the head of RCCG, a church considered as one of the biggest, not just in Africa but the world.

“Same thing with Oyedepo who has dedicated is life to enlarging the kingdom of Christ.

“Not only are both men old enough to be his father, but men are also national leaders who must be giving due respect for their contributions to the development of the faith in Nigeria,” the visibly angry cleric stated.

Babatunde said the church’s survival in the last 20 years was a miracle, adding it had lived up to her name in the past two decades. According to him: “We have been in historical motions and movements under the heavy influence of Holy Ghost guidance.

“From a friend’s compound in Obanikoro area to a member’s one room apartment, to a rented open land space at Costain bus stop to another rented open space at Shomola Street off Apapa road; it was a similitude of the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness.”

  • Pastor Abiara warns Nigerians of danger ahead

The General Overseer, Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, Ibadan, Prophet Samuel Kayode Abiara has alerted all Nigerians that there are dangers ahead of  the forthcoming 2019 general elections if something is not urgently done.

The cleric however said God had told him that there will be peace in Nigeria if the people can push aside their tribal and religious sentiments and pray for the country.

Pastor Abiara gave the warning on Saturday while addressing an international press conference to herald the church annual Jesus Festival International with the theme “And God said” where notable pastors are expected to pray for the unity and peace of the country and every danger ahead.

The festival which will commence on Monday 3rd December will round off with a thanksgiving service on Sunday 9th December, which also doubles as the 76th birthday of the cleric.

Notable clerics from within and outside the country billed to minister and pray at the weeklong festival include, Pastor William Kumuyi (Deeper Life Ministries), Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo (KICC) and Pastor Isaac Abiara (CAC Agbala-Itura, USA).

Others are, President of Christian Association of Nigeria, Reverend Samson Ayokunle, Archbishop Joseph Akinfenwa (Anglican Bishop), Prophet Esther Ajayi, CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji and Baba Abiara, the host.

He said one of the dangers ahead is the unresolved minimum wage, pleading with the government to positively consider approving the proposed N 30, 000 even if would be to cut down some huge government expenses in the interest of the people.

He said “Nigeria needs fervent prayers at this time, particularly towards the forthcoming general elections so that peace of God will reign before, during and after the elections.

“I cease this opportunity to call on all people of the world, particularly the politicians, people in government, business men and women, students, artisans, judges, lawyers and all professionals they should come within this week so that we can all raise our voice in prayer to God for the peace, progress and prosperity of our country.

“There are many clerics and denominations praying for the country and that is why there is still peace in this nation. Prayer has been the saving grace upholding the country.

“God told me that there will be peace for Nigeria if we pray. If we pray for Nigeria, the future is good and there won’t be any problem, if we pray irrespective of religion of denomination.

“We don’t need to listen to the prophets of doom concerning the country. I call on other prophets and other servants of God even if they see anything negative, we must not  speak evil but pray for the peace and unity of the nation.

“There is danger ahead but with prayers we know all will be resolved especially among the politicians.”

The cleric also enjoined the people to shun hate speech and be ready to exercise their franchise.

“Nigerians need to shun hate speeches in our efforts and campaigns especially the politicians. Hate speech must be an abomination. Politicians must speak in peace.

“Nigerians must go out to vote for people of their choices. You must not allow yourself or your children to be used as tool of violence and hooliganism. It is dangerous.

“Parents must warn their children not to be used for violence. Nigerians must not sell their vote because it has longer repercussions.

“Government must do the needful to ensure that workers salary issue is resolved. The demand for N30, 000 must be favourably considered by government because it is one of the dangers ahead. This is an issue that can cause problem and rancour if not handled well.”

  • Keep faith with Buhari, clerics tells Nigerians

The General overseer of Christ Apostolic Church, The Power of God Saves, Prophet Moses Olagunju, has appealed to Nigerians not to lose faith in the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

He asked them to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 to sustain what he described as landmark reforms.

Olagunju spoke at the just- concluded five-day revival programme of the church on Sokoto Road, Ogun State.

He admitted the economy was not looking bright but called for patience with the current administration, assuring it was working hard to change the tide.

The cleric pointed some of the politicians parading themselves as elder statesmen have been mobilising Nigerians to vote out the administration, accusing them of being part of the previous governments that stole the government blind.

“Repairing any dilapidated structure will not be achieved in one day and if Nigerians can keep faith with the work APC government is doing, there will be respite soon,” he stressed.

He applauded the efforts of some APC-led states in education, health and other social infrastructure, which according to him are sharp departures from the past when people saw little or no development.

Olagunju pointed out there is no free money again in the country, saying this is in tune with what obtains in other climes where people work hard to earn a living.

He lamented Nigerians want free money and a government that will be sharing largesse to people without hard work.

To fix Nigeria, he said “we must be patient even thought things are tough now but they will get better soon.”

He added: “I don’t see money even in my church but I am okay as long as the government is working hard to make life better for the generality of all Nigerians.”

He attributed the ceaseless killings in parts of the country to aggrieved politicians causing mayhem to denigrate the present administration.

Such elements, he assured, would soon be exposed by God.

Hamilton blames fake prophets for rising divorces

    By Adeola Ogunlade

The President of Shaddaiville Ministries, Dr. Kunle Hamilton, has attributed rising cases of divorce and separation in many churches to the ungodly activities of charlatan prophets.

Hamilton spoke at the annual Prophet and Prophetess Forum of Agege and Alimosho Zone of Celestial Church of Church (CCC) at Abule Egba, Lagos.

He said it is sad many so- called prophets are destroying homes and match-making young people because of their selfish interests and desire for filthy lucre.

With these acts, he pointed out many homes have been destroyed because prophets give messages that God has not sent them.

He argued no prophet has the right to act outside the will and purpose of God in the discharge of their duties.

Hamilton lamented many prophets in CCC have little or no knowledge of God’s word but driven by money, fame and affluence.

“God has left many prophets and they are only acting their own script and wooing gullible people for their selfish interest,” he stated.

He called on fake prophets to have a rethink and ask God for forgiveness, assuring he would save them if they have a turnaround.

A member of Women Bible Study and Prayer Fellowship, Celestial Church of God (CCC) Halleluiah Parish Egbeda, Mary Coker appealed  to prophets to avoid monetising the gifts and anointing of God upon their lives to avert divine wrath.

She said that the call to be a prophet “is a divine call to edification, exhortation and comfort, which can be successfully achieved when we daily follow God’s word and direction for the church.”
