  • CLAM celebrates at 20

    Leadership is all about service and never about self-aggrandizement, Senior Pastor of Christ Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) Lagos, Wole Oladiyun, has declared.

    He spoke last Sunday during the 20th anniversary of the church.

    Oladiyun told political as well as religious leaders to use their positions to empower people and change lives.

    “People are suffering. As a political leader in your local community, you need to look inward and encourage petty traders through soft loans.

    “Those who are into commerce, government should channel resources for them and also provide enabling environment for the business to drive.

    “Every government has responsibility to God and to the people governed in the state,” he stated.

    He appealed to all political office holders not to be selfish but lead with absolute humility.

    On the anniversary, Oladiyun said: “We had our challenges from the foundation of the building and the resources at the beginning but the grace of God has been sufficient for us.

    “For 20years of my calling, I do crusade to better the lives of the people within and outside the church without collection any offering from anyone.”

    He mentioned Soteria maternity hospital built by the church as one of its achievements, adding “we also have farm settlement along Lagos Ibadan express road where we employ 10,000 youths every year to make food available to all Nigerians at a affordable prices.

    He further explained the Voice of Joy and Gladness International Ministry run by his wife, Bukola has empowered youths on art and craft training.

  • CLAM Pastor donates N20m children ward to hospital

    Pastor Wole Oladiyun of the Christ Living Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), is one clergyman who derives joy from giving to the society.

    The General Overseer of the Omole, Lagos-based church has just donated a N20 million children’s ward to the General Hospital in his home town, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. Pastor Oladiyun was said to have initiated the building project two years ago in his bid to provide succour to the masses of the area in terms of healthcare.

    The project was commissioned on July 2nd with the Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, in attendance to receive the facility on behalf of the government and people of Ondo State. The governor was visibly elated by the Pastor’s gesture.

    He was full of praise for the man who has continued to make humanitarian service an integral part of his pastoral mission. Trust politicians, Governor Mimiko was quick to identify the man of God’s gesture as one of his cardinal goals as a governor.

  • CLAM’s farm projects to employ 10,000

    The Christ Living Spring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) Soteria farm projects in Obafemi Local Government Area of Ogun State will create no fewer than 10,000 jobs for youth, the visioner, Apostle Wole Oladiyun, has assured.

    He spoke during a presentation on the project in Lagos.

    Oladiyun said the farm settlement was conceived to create jobs and provide food to all at reasonable prices.

    He explained: ”Thirty years ago, the Lord gave me a revelation that Nigeria’s wealth has been transferred into the soil through agriculture and mining.

    “Every Nigerian must go into agriculture because there is enormous wealth through agriculture.’’

    The vision, he said, prompted the decision to purchase 500 hectares of land cutting across six villages in Ogunmakin   Sotiyo, Ogun State.

    He noted that proper planning and professionals from different fields of endeavour will bring in interventions and ideas for the sustainability of the project.

    On the work done so far, the cleric said that 50 hectares (124 acres) of the farmland have been fully paid for, adding that effort to crave out another 100 hectares in the second phase is on-going.

    A Soteria farmer, Sola Oluwaleye, said his team has visited Songhai farm in Porto Novo to understudy a functional settlement with the aim of learning their system and techniques of operation.

    He said that six crops such as cassava, yam, tomatoes, plantain, pepper and vegetables have been selected as pilot scheme.

    Professor Adediro Adegeye, an agronomist, commended the initiative, saying the power of development and progress lies in agriculture.

    “With agriculture, we can survive because anywhere grass grows rice will grow.”

    Cleric seeks prayers for Nigeria

    The Senior Pastor of Christ Living spring Apostolic Ministry, (CLAM), Pastor Wole Oladiyun, has advised President Goodluck Jonathan to declare every first day of the month in 2014 as a day of national prayer and fasting to avert impending turbulence in the nation.

    He said God wants all Nigerians to pray for mercy for the doors of unprecedented calamities in Nigeria.

    Oladiyun spoke with reporters in Lagos last week.

    He said: “God loves this nation and there is every assurance that if this is done, the mercy of God will prevail over the pending darkness and there shall be great restoration of the fortunes and glory of Nigeria.”
