In a major coup, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has hired immediate past Ghana’s Black Queen’s head coach, Nora for Copper Queens of Zambia ahead of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations holding July in Morocco.
The Ghana Football Association had wanted to keep the Swiss manager beyond the 31st December, 2024 when her contract expired but both parties were unable to reach an agreement despite efforts to increase the wages of the 41-year-old tactician.

FAZ yesterday announced Nora Hauptle as the new Zambia Women’s National Team coach as replacement for controversial Bruce Mwape who was asked to step down over alleged sexual assault on his players.
Hauptle has been named as the Copper Queens coach on a three -year contract and her immediate task would be to ensure Zambia who are the third best team on the continent based on their exploit at the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco, go a step further to qualify for their first WAFCON final.
They are in Group A with the hosts Morocco, Senegal and DR Congo in the competition with starts from July 5th to 26th .
