The Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Saheed Bankole, has appealed to youths and all residents of the council to shun all acts of vices during the upcoming protest.
Bankole also advised residents to abstain from participating in the protest, reminding them of the unfortunate events of 2020 #EndSARS#.
He said: “What began as a peaceful protest was hijacked by some scrupulous elements, resulting in significant damage of lives and properties in the state and Eti-Osa being the epicenter, was badly affected. Government properties were looted and set ablaze. This has hindered progress work on projects and essential services.”
Bankole urged the community leaders to talk to their wards to be calm and be good ambassadors.
He added: “It is not a wrong thing to protest but it should be for the betterment of our society, not to cause chaos. We need to safeguard lives and properties and avoid another episode of violence, this is avoidable”.

Bankole called on youths of Eti-Osa to join hands to foster progress and development in the area. He advised them to voice their concerns peacefully and such issues will be resolved amicably.
He thanked the residents for their continued support and reaffirms his administration’s commitment towards the progress and development of the community.
He promised to continue delivering his electoral promises by enhancing infrastructural service.
