Couple, son found dead at home

Who killed a couple and their only son in their Iyanu Ibeshe, Ikorodu, Lagos home on Tuesday? This is the puzzle the community is trying to unravel following the discovery of their bodies hours after they were killed.

The bodies of the  Ebhodaghes were found by their son’s schoolmates and teacher who came to look for him on Tuesday.

Mr and Mrs Lucky Ebhodaghe and Jonathan are believed to have been killed by a ritual gang known as Badoo.

Their heads were said to have been smashed with a big stone.

The woman was also alleged to have been raped, as her pant was torn and covered in blood.

According to residents, the attack occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday but no one knew till around 3pm when two of Jonathan’s classmates and a teacher came to find out why he did not come for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) senior certificate examination.

Although the doors to their home were opened, the visitors became worried after knocking for several minutes without response.

The teacher, it was gathered, went to the opposite compound and invited the landlord who attends the same church (Deeper Life) with the Ebhodaghes.

When our reporter visited the community yesterday evening, elderly men were discussing the issue.

The men, who were later introduced as landlords, said the community had been robbed of its peace.

According to one of them, the killers gained access into the apartment through the late Jonathan’s room’s window.

“They removed the glass window and then tore the net. From there, they entered into the house. It looks like they moved the boy from his room into his parent’s room where they killed them. They used a big stone to scatter their heads and left them in their pool of blood. The blood stains are still in the room. The man was very quiet and easy going. He has never quarrelled with anyone in this neighbourhood. He has just one child. He worked with an oil servicing firm. He’s the owner of the house and only lived there with his wife and child.

“No one knew what had happened to them. We did not even hear any noise in the night.  It was two young boys and a teacher that came to look for Jonathan, after they did not see him for the exams they had that made us to know there was a problem. The door was opened but they knocked and no one answered. When they were tired of knocking, their teacher called one of the landlords and he came to the compound.

“He was the one who led them in. When they pointed torchlight in his parent’s room, they saw their dead bodies. So, we had to call the Community Development Association (CDA) chairman, who called the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). “The police came and evacuated the bodies. The boy was on the floor, while his parents were on the bed. When we saw the woman, naked, we called another woman to go in first and cover her before anybody can enter. It looks like she was raped,” a resident said.

A landlord, who refused to be named said the Ebhodaghes would be buried tomorrow, adding that their relatives have agreed that they be buried in their home.

He said the suspected killers usually went after non-indigenes, wondering why the police were yet to get their sponsors.

According to him, some of the survivors of previous attacks had named the perpetrators and those sponsoring them but the police have not gone after them.

He said: “This is pure ritual killing. Those behind it are being paid by some highly – placed persons, including traditional rulers, and their names have been given to the police.

“The police have been told by some people who narrowly escaped being killed by the boys. Besides, what have the police done to those previously arrested? Why are they after non-indigenes?

“Already, two people packed out of the area yesterday after discovering that they have killed this Edo man and his family. People are scared. We can’t continue like this. Let homicide detectives take this matter up and apprehend the culprits. I am sure that our police can arrest them if they stop covering for their sponsors.

“The woman whose seven-month-old pregnant daughter was killed last year, gave names of those behind the attacks to the police. What have they done about that?”

Lagos command spokeman Olarinde Famous-Cole, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), said the Ibeshe Division received a phone call from one Funso Akintimeyin that three bodies were found in an apartment.

He said the bodies had been deposited at Ikorodu General Hospital mortuary.

  • Revealed! The True Confession Of A Frustrated Lagos Working Class Wife – “I Cheated but Saved My Marriage”.

Revealed! The True Confession Of A Frustrated Lagos Working Class Wife – “I Cheated but Saved My Marriage”.

My name is Modupe, I have been married for 10 years. I’m 35 and my husband is 10 years older than I.  When we met one of the things my husband loved about me was my high sex drive which was all good for the first couple years of our marriage, We would have sex 3-4 times a week. Sex with him started to slow down after 3 years or so nothing drastic but not as frequent as it was early on, and our sex life began to suffer.

He got promoted and was at work a lot. He would come home late, plop on the couch and fall asleep there most nights. I would end up with self-pleasure a lot of times.

I resulted to the use of sex toys but I was dying inside of me, I needed something more but the man I was married to, though we live together he’s far away from me than ever.

Sex became a once in a blue moon exercise and even when it happens it doesn’t last more than 1 – 3 minutes. I was not only starved of love but of sex as well.

After awhile I started to look at porn now and then when I was feeling especially horny. Eventually that led me to chatting, sexting, sharing nude pix of myself to strangers.

The thought of these men jerking off because of me was a thrill I have been missing really since I got married.

So I found myself complaining a lot about my husband at work. Not necessarily about sex, but I have mentioned it before – lack of love. We fights over stupid things. We get along pretty good but when we fight, we really fight. I had befriended a well built, tall black man named Danny.

We have lunch together and we even work near each other on the Island. Well one night after work, we were walking to our cars. He told me to have a good night. I said, “Yeah right. I will end up using a toy again tonight.” He said, “If you were my girl, you wouldn’t need those.” We flirt quite a bit. I said, “Oh yeah? What would you do?” He said, “Wine you, Dine you then make you scream.” I said, “Too bad you can’t prove it?” He said, “Cause you’re married?” I said, “Cause you’re not man enough.” He said, “You know where I live. Come on over and we will see.”

I didn’t give it a second thought. I followed him to his house. He did exactly what he said. Opened a good bottle of red wine, made me jollof rice, then took me to bed.

It had been far too long since I had been properly made love to. Afterwards he said, “So?” I said, “So what?” He said, “Was it good?” I said, “I haven’t been fucked like that since college.” He said, “Was this a one time deal? Be honest.” I said, “Probably not.”

We have had a weekly thing for about 6 months now, I would invite him over on certain weekends, we would meet up at his place on other days. No more fighting with my husband. Guess it was sexual frustration.

Please don’t blame me at all as my body is not a stone.

The first day I and Danny made love, it stirred a wild passion in me and I could not get enough of him. One faithful day after making fun I used woman seduction to know what he is using to satisfied me for 40 minutes with his big rod because I won’t lie to you I always scream ‘is enough, please am satisfied’ but this guy rod doesn’t get tired. Click To See His Secret Here.

I know I’m a horrible person/wife and I know alot of you will say I should leave my husband if this is what I want to do but I do honestly love him very much and our kids and the life I have with him.

If sex were good between us I’d like to think I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing. And yes I’ve talked many times to my husband about needing/wanting more sex with him and it’s good for a few days or a week then it’s back to the way it was.

Thank God Danny revealed his secret to me and I quickly try to find Danny’s big rod and 40 minutes performance secret. Immediately I got it, I dropped Danny because I still love my husband and I believe that he can do better too with this secret. Click Here For the secret.

I have to look for a way to present this to my husband and it was around our wedding anniversary, guess what I presented to my husband? Danny’s big rod and 40 minutes performance secret, my husband asked me what it is though and I explained to him that my friend’s husband is using it to satisfied her and that is the secret of their happy home.

My husband applied the secret and the same day we made love and I enjoyed it compared to the past. And on the fifth day our marital issues ease up and till today, no more sexual frustration.

Will you like to discover the Danny’s secret that saved my marriage from continuous cheating on my husband? Mind you this frustration used to make all woman to take wrong step without letting their husband knows just like me. Click Here

  • Couple celebrates childbirth, 23 years after

Couple celebrates childbirth, 23 years after

They tied the knots in 1993 but it wasn’t until 23 years after that they handled their bundle of joy.

Those years of waiting were tortuous for Soji Sogunro, chief executive officer of Royal Heritage Health Foundation, and his wife Nike. The pain is over, and they have celebrated the arrival of their baby girl in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. The event took place at the auditorium of Royal Covenant Assembly.

Sogunro, an associate pastor with the church, spoke of the challenges of the years before the birth of their girl.

He said, “It is because of us that you are all gathered here this morning. I bless the name of the Lord because God has been so good to us. The day I noticed that war has started predated my marriage.

“I remember a day when I was in Union Bank in Ilorin here. I woke up in the morning, put my soup on gas cooker. I dressed up to go to the office but instead of that I joined a bus going to Ibadan, leaving the fire on. I have some people here who can bear me witness.

“On getting to Ibadan, it dawned on me that I should be in my workplace in Ilorin. I boarded another vehicle back home. On getting home the whole place was on fire. People were crying that the whole house had got burnt. I remember then my now mother-in-law, as we were so close then, exclaimed that they have got this boy. But the testimony then was that people were seeing fire but nothing got burnt. That day I knew I had to put on my shoe of war.

“The second incident that calls for testimony this morning was in 1992. I was not married then too. I was going to Jebba in our 504 Peugeot immediately after Bacita Junction; this my wife was with me as I wanted to go and show her to my mother in Jebba. After the turning the car started somersaulting.

“Fortunately, we all belted up. The car somersaulted several times and when it stopped I managed to loosen her belt and mine and we escaped unhurt. After we had alighted the vehicle caught fire and I stood at the middle of the road begging motorists and passersby to please assist us.

“A trailer-load of people came and started extinguishing the fire yet the fire was raging on and I shouted the name of Jesus Christ. Then one woman said I should not call on the name of Jesus but I persisted. Suddenly thunder came down from heaven and put the fire out.

“We got married 23 years ago; in the first two years we said we were not starting to procreate yet because shortly after our marriage I was transferred to Minna, Niger State and my wife was in Ilorin.  But by the time we were ready nothing happened. The first doctor that we met told me ‘you cannot father a baby in life,’ without doing any test. He was an old man. And I told him thank you sir.

“I want to thank God today that He answers prayers. It is the grace of God. I came to this church when I was suffering. No job and nothing but God directed me here. Today I am an employer of labour. The journey was very tough.

“It never crossed my mind that I should have a baby outside of my wedlock during those trying times. I just believe in God that He Himself would do it.

“One man asked if my mom was still around and I told him that she was alive till 2011. He said she ought to have counseled me to take another wife and I said my mom never told me so. My in-laws too never asked my wife to re-marry another man too. They have been wonderful. We never visited any herbalist.

“We concluded that if God would not give us children so be it.”

Giving her testimony, Deaconess Sogunro said, “Words are not enough to explain what happened and what God has done. It is true that God answers prayers. I thank Him that He makes everything beautiful in my life at His own appointed time. It is a new beginning.”

Founder of the church, Pastor Bola Paimo said, “I think this is telling us that if anyone waits upon the Lord, he can never and will never be disappointed.”

And I thank the Lord for this couple who were able, by the grace of God, to wait. When I met them many years ago, I remember that the two of them sat in front of us crying. But I remember the Lord said, that day, they would laugh.

“And so I announced to them that the Lord said you would laugh. That was a confirmation to so many other prophesies said by other people. And to the glory of God, today we are laughing. Aside that this is a thanksgiving service, the Bible says it is a good thing to give thanks to the Most High. Psalm 92 verse one said.

“So I came to a conclusion at the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that anyone who waits upon the Lord, who receives a testimony, God will expect us to give thanks. When you give thanks, you have taken upon a good thing. God’s presence will continue. So for everyone in the house and everyone hearing us, wherever we are, let us give thanks and He will do more.”

  • Teenage girl sells baby for N500,000 to Onitsha couple

    •Five arrested

The police in Ondo State at the weekend revealed how a 17-year-old girl, Miss Tessy Obianua, allegedly sold her baby girl for N500,000 to a couple in Onitsha, Anambra State.

According to the police, Tessy fell victim of a “specialised child trafficker”, Mrs. Chibuzor Okoye, who convinced her to sell the baby to Mr & Mrs. Sunday Kalu, who were looking for a child.

Parading the suspects, the Commissioner, Mrs. Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, said five persons were involved in the case.

She said the police got a tip when Tessy’s father, Henry Obianu, who lives at Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area, reported that his expectant daughter was missing.

Obianu claimed Tessy ran away from home in January last year ; she later re-appeared again without the baby or pregnancy in May.

After much pressure on the whereabouts of the baby, Tessy reportedly confessed to one of her uncles that she sold the baby to a couple in Onitsha.

Police investigation showed that Tessy was lured to Onitsha by her father’s neighbour, Jude Azuka.

It was gathered that when Tessy left home, Azuka reportedly took her to Okoye’s house in Onitsha. Okoye nursed her through her pregnancy.

The police boss said: “The police arrested Okoye at 3, Tonny Olisa Street, Awada Onitsha.

“It was Okoye, who sold the baby to the couple at 8, Uzogwu Street, Onitsha for N500,000.

“She claimed she gave Azuka N200,000 of which he claimed he bought clothes and shoes for Tessy and also gave her N30,000.

“Mrs. Okoye, thereafter, forced Tessy to sign an undertaking that she would never come back for the baby.”

Ibifuro-Harrison urged parents to be wary of the antics of criminal elements, who disguise as neigbours around their wards.

  • Couple jump to safety as fire razes building

A COUPLE yesterday jumped down from the topmost floor of a two-storey building gutted by fire in Surulere, Lagos Mainland.

The wife was the first to jump, landing on the top of a car. She was unhurt. Her shout for help attracted other occupants, who rallied to save her daughter from their flat.

Her husband also jumped to safety, salvaging only his passport. They lost all their belongings to the fire which started around 2am.

Most of the occupants were asleep when the fire started.

The cause of the inferno could not be ascertained. Some residents said it couldn’t have been electrical surge because there has been light for over four days without any hitch.

A security man, who simply gave his name as Umaru, said when they noticed the fire, everyone ran out of their flats.

He said only one person sustained injuries on his hands and legs.

At the scene yesterday, some residents of other buildings were moving their belongings back into their apartments.

A resident, Mr James Onuoha, said everyone was deprived of sleep because they thought the fire was going to spread.

“My wife and children spent the night packing our things. We couldn’t afford to lose anything. It was double work for us in the morning. I have not experienced this before,” he said.

  • Tears as couple loses property to suspected land speculators

Suspected land speculators recently demolished property owned by a retiree, Samuel Adegboro, in the Agbado area of Ifo, Ogun State.

It was learnt that Adegboro, who currently suffers from stroke, bought landed property in Odo Oba area of Agbado in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, from one Baba Oyeogun in 1983.

The Nation gathered that the perpetrators fled before the arrival of the police who were invited by Adegboro’s wife, Victoria.

Victoria said the building was not completed due to her husband’s illness, which started about 16 years ago.

She said the land speculators had recently tried in vain to take over the building.

She said: ”We purchased the land from Baba Oyeogun in 1983, and there is a receipt and photograph taken with Baba Oyeogun when the purchase was being consummated. We would have completed the building but for my husband’s illness which started about 16 years ago after he retired from active service.

“There was a time some landlords in the community alerted us that some land speculators had invaded our property and we frustrated the invasion.

“In the evening of last Monday, we received a call that some people had demolished our property. The next day, I sighted a caterpillar operator when I got to the site, and he told me that one Sunday Oyeogun contracted him to pull the house down.

“We immediately left to report the matter to the police and by the time we returned with some policemen, the caterpillar operator had abandoned his equipment and disappeared into thin air. The caterpillar was, however, demobilised by policemen who accompanied us to the scene.”

The Nation gathered that Adegboro’s condition has deteriorated since he received news of the demolition of his property.

“My husband’s health has worsened since he got wind of the incident and we are still battling to salvage his deteriorating condition,” said Victoria. “We are calling on those in authority to help us prevent these heartless people from stripping us naked by forcibly taking over our property.”

A resident who asked not to be named said the activities of land speculators in the community had lately assumed a worrisome dimension. “They (land speculators) have been terrorising innocent landlords in this neighbourhood with impunity. Law enforcement agencies must curb their nefarious activities before lawlessness leads to complete breakdown of law and order.”

Speaking with The Nation on the telephone, Chief Sunday Oyeogun denied involvement in the controversial demolition of the building. He said: ”I am not in any way responsible for the controversial demolition of the said property. It is true that the woman’s (Victoria’s) husband bought landed property from my late father, but a family called Akinola has secured a judgment over vast landed property in the community, including the particular property that was demolished.

“As the traditional ruler of the community, I even went to the site and questioned the caterpillar operator who said the new owner of the property sent him to demolish the building. However, another unidentified man, whom I also met at the site, told me that the building was being demolished in order to discourage people from dumping refuse there and to stave off the spread of Lassa fever. So, there are conflicting stories about the motive for the demolition of the property.”

“It is unfortunate that my name is being mentioned in a matter that I knew nothing about. I have been invited to Agbado Police Division and I have told the police what I am telling you now. The wife of the man who bought the property did not report the matter to me but I went to the site to ascertain the veracity of the news of the demolition because my family name was being mentioned in the matter. I don’t have anything to do with the destruction of the building.”
