    Daduut lauds First Lady over N1bn donations to victims of Plateau attack

    Senator Nora Ladi Daduut has hailed Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for donating N1billion to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau state.

    Daduut, who is currently the pro-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), stressed that this gesture was a testament to the first lady’s determination to provide succour to the less privileged in society.

    The donation, made under her Renewed Hope Initiative, is sourced from private contributions and not government funds.

    Senator Tinubu emphasised that the gesture is aimed at bringing relief to the most vulnerable Nigerians, particularly in conflict-affected regions, and urged Plateau citizens to end the protracted violence and embrace peace and development, especially to unlock the state’s immense tourism potential.

    Describing the First Lady as the mother of the nation, Daduut said the First Lady has shown that she understands the plight of the common man on the streets.

    She added that this initiative had resonated with the renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

    Daduut said the first lady’s gesture was an “exemplary demonstration of Christian values of charity and humility”, which is worth emulating.

    She noted, “I commend our First Lady for her empathy, sense of commitment and the humility for coming to Plateau to identify with victims of attacks.

    Daduut, who was on the entourage of the first Lady to Plateau, urged people of the state to continue to pray for lasting peace in the state and the Nation at large and called on citizens to pray for their leaders at all times.

    She also called on citizens of the state to support the President Bola Tinubu-led administration as it’s determined to better the lives of its people.

    FUTA pro-chancellor, Daduut, pledges more support for education

    Pro-chancellor and chairman, governing council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, (FUTA), Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut, has pledged her commitment to the delivery of quality education for youths and children.

    She spoke recently at a thanksgiving mass celebrated in honour of her appointment by the federal government at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in the Kwalla district of Quanpan local government council of Plateau state.

    Daduut, who represented Plateau South Senatorial District at the 9th National Assembly stressed that Education remains the bedrock of development of any nation.

    She said: “I have plans to partner with the church in my community to give priority to child education because they are the future of the nation.”

    Daduut further harped on the need for investment in girl-child education, stressing that it will boost the nation’s development and progress.

    “Educating the girl-child provides the platform for her to be an advocate and catalyst for positive change. Government is doing its best but we have to support them to ensure a better society.

    “Every parent should ensure that his child or ward attends and completes his or her primary school education and secondary school education.”

    She, however, called on the private sector and individuals to support the Bola Tinubu administration’s efforts in revolutionising the education sector

    Daduut also commended the First Lady of the federation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her efforts at ensuring that every Nigerian child has access to quality education.

    Former Plateau South Senator, Prof Nora Ladi Daduut, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and his Vice President Kashim Shettima for their landmark victory at the Supreme Court.

    A statement signed by Daduut said: “I heartily congratulate His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on his final electoral success at the supreme Court of Nigeria which he was reaffirmed as the undisputed winner of the 2023 Presidential elections.

    “The inevitability of the election outcome was never in doubt at any time.

    “His victory would no doubt strengthen the President to continue to serve all Nigerians of all Political persuasions ,tribes and faiths.

    Daduut called on citizens of the Nation to support Tinubu led-administration. She expressed confidence that he would revamp the country and take it to greater heights.

    She said Nigerians truly made the right choice in choosing Tinubu as the President, acknowledging that his tenacity, commitment and hard work would see him change the face of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

    Daduut also expressed her unwavering confidence that, under President Tinubu’s visionary leadership, Nigeria will continue to flourish and thrive in line with the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda of the current administration.
