    Actress Bukola Arugba has spoken out about her separation from actor Damola Olatunji, with whom she shares twin children.

    The couple parted ways in May 2023 amid rumours of infidelity.

    However, in a recent Q&A session on her YouTube channel, Arugba revealed that the actual reason for their separation was that their relationship had become unworkable, despite her best efforts to save it.

    Arugba emphasised that she and Olatunji are co-parenting their twins amicably and urged her fans to respect their privacy.

    She expressed desire to move forward and not have their past issues affect Olatunji’s current relationship.

    She said: “My ex is living his life, and we are not fighting. We are co-parenting very well. There are some things deeper than what the eyes can see. He is the father of my twins.

    “We went our separate ways because it wasn’t working. I tried my best. I can only speak for myself—I tried my best to make it work, but it just wasn’t working. Please, I am saying this to all my fans: I beg you in God’s name, let sleeping dogs lie.

    “We are both doing fine. I wouldn’t want what happened between us in his past relationship with me to affect his new relationship. Please, let the sleeping dog lie.”

    Actor and producer Damola Olatunji has invoked curses on those spreading defamatory news about him.

    In a strongly-worded Instagram post, Olatunji wished death on those responsible for disseminating false information about him.

    The actor claimed he had been quiet for too long and would no longer tolerate the spread of false news about him.

    He said: “Enough is enough. Whoever is behind spreading defamatory news about me will DIE untimely death. Iku gbona lo ma kuu.
    I have been quite enough, and this time, it shall never be well with you. I am unapologetic about this. This time, some individuals need to face incarceration.”

    Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Damola Olatunji has commented on the possibility of a reunion with his ex-wife Bukola Awoyemi.

    Olatunji, who was a guest on Talk to B podcast, recently said that going back to his ex can only be determined by God.

    “The best thing is to let the kids be happy at all times. I’m not going to say never because there are some things you don’t have power over so we just leave it all to God. Relationships are like butterflies, if you hold it too tight it will die, if you let it loose it might fly away but if it’s yours it will go around and come back to you. If it is the will of God so be it, if it’s not let everybody be happy at the same time. The most important thing is we all should live a fulfilled destiny,” said Olatunji.

    He revealed that despite their differences they’ve both created time to take their kids out. “Despite the fact that we’ve separated, if I see anything that will benefit her I will put a call through. We’ve had time to take the kids out afterward, it’s all about making the kids happy and that’s my priority for now, every other thing is secondary.”

    Actor Damola Olatunji has highlighted the prevalence of fake love and unhealthy competition in the movie industry.

    In a revealing interview on Biola Bayo’s show, “Talk to B,” he disclosed that most attacks on celebrities come from within the industry, with colleagues using anonymous accounts to troll and undermine each other.

    Olatunji expressed concerns about the lack of genuine love and support among actors, who often pretend to care for one another while secretly fueling negativity.

    He advised aspiring actors to develop a “shock absorber” to navigate the industry’s harsh realities.

    He said: “If you are coming into the space of the entertainment industry, you need to have what is called a shock absorber.

    “In an industry where there is no true love, where we don’t truly love each other, fine, we do parties, we do all these things, we gather together to celebrate, and we smile and laugh at each other, but deep down, we don’t love each other.

    “The pages that will troll you are faceless; I think they are from the industry. Why do we have this unhealthy competition? Why do you think if I bring this person down, I will rise? So, I took my time to do the analysis, and I can see that, okay, most of these attacks come from within, come from the industry”.

    The actor emphasised his commitment to focusing on his own journey, refusing to engage in competition or bring others down to elevate himself.

    “One thing I don’t do is I don’t compete with anybody. I try as much as possible to run my race at my own pace”, he added.

    Actor Damola Olatunji has revealed personal information on his past relationship life. 

    He disclosed this to Biola Bayo on her show Talk To B, that his ex-fiancée became pregnant with someone else’s child just weeks before their introduction, leaving him heartbroken.

    Olatunji also addressed the rumors surrounding his marriage to colleague Bukola Arugba, stating that he never abandoned his family and continues to pay their children’s school fees. 

    He emphasised the importance of co-parenting and warned against bashing each other on social media, as it can harm their kids in the long run.

    The actor surprisingly revealed that he receives advances from both men and women, acknowledging that he’s not perfect. 

    He said: “My fiance got pregnant for someone else, weeks to my introduction.

    “As a matter of fact, this will be the first time anybody will say I’m talking about my divorce. Some said Damola left his marriage, Damola left the house, and I will be like, these are my kids.

    “Feelings die, and love fades. If things are not working in a relationship, it’s better to go separate ways than to become physical. Couples that have kids together should not come online and fight dirty. 

    “Your kids will grow up one day to read about the things you have said. I am not a deadbeat father. Despite our separation, I still pay my kids’ school fees and attend to their needs. My kids will tell you, ‘My dad is the best in the world. They can never lack as long as I am alive. When you have kids with someone, something will always bring you together for life.

    “I get toasted the way ladies get toasted. Both from male and female. Hey, listen, I am not a saint, but I will not do what I will not do”.

    Actor Damola Olatunji celebrates ex-wife, colleagues who survived car accidents, eulogises God

    Popular Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji, has taken to social media to thank God for sparing the lives of his ex-wife, Bukola Arugba, and other industry colleagues, Mercy Aigbe and Azeez Ijaduade.

    The Nation reported that Bukola Arugba was involved in an accident on the Third Mainland Bridge, which left her car severely damaged.

    Narrating the incident, she pondered on how her car could crash twice within the space of an hour while adding that no one could imagine the state she was left in.

    Two days later, Mercy Aigbe had escaped death, after her car tyre burst on the highway while returning to Lagos from Benin.

    She described the incident as a scary, horrific, and terrible experience, which left her panicked.

    The Nation also reported that director, Azeez Ijaduade was reportedly shot by Nigerian police and has been admitted to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment and in critical condition.

    Following this news, Damola Olatunji took to his Instagram page to rejoice with his colleagues for escaping death.

    He further declared that no member of his household or loved ones shall cry or mourn this festive season.

    Noting how the devil is a liar, he quoted some powerful scriptures as he gave thanks for the lives of his colleagues.

    He wrote: “Thank God for Iya Ibeji, Thank God for Mercy Aigbe, thank God for Azeez Ololade Ijaduade. I said it last week and I am saying it again, the devil is a liar.

    “As for me, my household, and my loved ones, we shall not cry nor mourn for the remaining days of this year. Peace, Love, Happiness, and Joy shall never depart from us. He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

    “Psalm 140 1: Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet. O LORD, I say to you, “You are my God.” Hear, O LORD, my cry for mercy. Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused. Amen amen, and amen”.
