    Grammy-nominated singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has rolled out pre-wedding photographs with wife, Chioma Rowland, ahead of their white wedding in Miami, United States.

    The music star shared the images on his Instagram page on Saturday with the caption, “CHIVIDO2025.”

    The singer had in April announced his white wedding ceremony slated for August without disclosing the specific date.

    Recall that he proposed to Chioma in 2019, but the relationship was met with criticisms in 2021 following reports linking him to another woman.

    The couple also faced a tragic loss after the death of their first son, Ifeanyi, who drowned at their Lagos residence in October 2022.

    By March 2023, Davido confirmed they had legally married.

    The pair welcomed a set of twins in the United States in October 2023 and held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.

    Cubana Chief Priest, despite his disappointment at missing the wedding celebration, extended his warm congratulations to Davido and his wife, stating he would be with them in spirit.

    After a successful show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland, USA, Davido expressed his gratitude, attributing his success to his faith.

    “We did it. We sold out every night and made millions of dollars. If you dream it, it’s possible. With God, everything is possible. With all the odds against me, we made it happen,” Davido said before cutting the celebratory cake.

    The 5 Alive tour has been a resounding success, with Davido joining an elite group of Nigerian artists to have performed at Canada’s Scotia Bank Arena, a 19,000-capacity venue.

    Afrobeats star Davido has donated N3 million to an X user David Obadiah popularly known as ‘Baddy of Lagos’ to aid his bow legged surgery.

    Baddy, who had been crowdfunding N18.3 million for the procedure, expressed gratitude towards Davido, stating that the contribution exceeded his expectations.

    He wrote: “Jesus @davido sent me 3m for my correctional Surgery, God bless you sir.. my idolo

    “God bless you @davido, this is way beyond my imagination”.

    The singer also gifted a fan page administrator N5m to use the funds for a new hairstyle.

    Additionally, he pledged $5,000 to a Ghanaian TikToker who flawlessly covered his song “With You”.

    Davido, in the past also pledged N300 million to orphanages and a charity fighting drug abuse among youths to commemorate his 32nd birthday, continuing his tradition of giving back.

    In 2021, he donated N237 million to 424 orphanages across Nigeria, and in July 2023, his foundation disbursed over N200 million to orphanages, benefiting 13,818 children.

    Davido founded the Davido Adeleke Foundation in 2022 to assist vulnerable children and create a framework for ongoing charitable works.

    Looking back on his career, Davido said he would advise his younger self to be patient and resilient.

    “There’ve been ups and downs, but I’ve learned that hard work and consistency always pay off,” he added.

    Davido said, “I hope I still have the same passion, I’d probably try again…but it depends on my age.

    “One flex I have is that money didn’t buy us natural love from my fans. You can’t buy that type of love. I’ve had fans come from far away, and concerts range from new fans to the old fans; my catalogue is huge.

    “If I could tell younger Davido anything, it’d be, ‘It’s going to be a long journey, many ups and downs, smiles and frowns, but you’d get there. When we first started, obviously, the dream wasn’t this big at all. That’s how God works.
