Popular skit maker and content creator Deacon Famous, whose real name is Udaya Awesome Chidiebere, has apologised to fashion designer Veekee James as she celebrated her 30th birthday.

During the lively festivities captured in videos from Veekee’s star-studded party, Deacon, on Instagram, took a moment to reconcile with the designer, following his recent comments about her widely discussed wedding to her husband, Femi Atere in 2024.

Deacon confessed that his earlier remarks were inappropriate and branded them as dark humor.

Acknowledging the impact of his words, he expressed a genuine desire for both himself and Veekee to let go of the past and rebuild their relationship.

“Happy 30th Birthday Veekee James, I know I wronged you (which was meant to be a joke but came off as a dark humor) and I take the blame again for it. Nothing bad was intended but I have come to realize the impact of my mistake and I apologize again.

“On this special day, I wish we make peace and let go of the past as we grow in grace. I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health of body and mind, I pray for the peace of the Lord to dwell in your home forever. Just know I’m not your enemy, the Devil is. Happy 3rd floor Veekee,” he wrote.

Deacon Famous, a popular actor and comedian, has announced engagement to his Ghanaian lover, Mawusi Faith.

The excited comedian took to Instagram to share the news, posting photos from the proposal. 

His friend, gospel singer Moses Bliss, was also present, playing the keyboard in the background.

Deacon Famous expressed joy and gratitude, saying he had waited for the right person and finally found his wife.

He wrote: “SHE SAID YES TO FOREVER Mawusi Faith, it’s such a delight to go on this journey with you. On God, I waited for the right one, and now, I HAVE FOUND A WIFE. Mawusi Faith, GHANA WE ARE COMING AGAIN.”
