Nollywood actress Deborah Shokoya has opened up about performing a dangerous balcony fall for her latest film, Scars, describing it as one of the toughest challenges of her career.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Shokoya shared behind-the-scenes footage and admitted she had to summon courage to pull off the stunt.

“It wasn’t as easy as it looked in the video. I had to gather myself before we finally got the shot,” she revealed, adding that she thrives on taking challenging roles that push her craft to new limits.
The actress also disclosed that she was just five months postpartum when she filmed the scene. “My husband thought it was a movie trick until I showed him the video—he warned me never to try it again,” she said.
Shokoya added that neighbors at the film location even provided mattresses to cushion her landing. Despite the risks, she maintained that the experience was worth it.
“I try as much as possible to give my best with the little resources I have… Your encouragement is the fuel I need to keep bringing good movies to your screen.”
