Supreme Leader of Traditional Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TPAN), Dibia Chukwuma Ezeoruonye, has called on Federal Government to declare a national day for traditional religious worshippers.
He said this is important for them to have a sense of belonging and to keep traditional worship in people’s consciousness.
The chief priest decried relegation of traditional worship to the background and giving other religious groups preference.
He said the country is facing challenges because the gods are angry with Nigeria. This, he said, is why the challenges have defied solutions despite efforts at resolving them.

Ezeoruonye insisted the gods must be appeased because the crises are spiritual, and would require spiritual solutions. He added there is a need to appease them to halt their anger against the country.
He maintained President Bola Tinubu and his party are not the problem, saying “the issues are beyond Tinubu, and no matter his efforts, the challenges will continue to defy solutions.
“This is a pointer to the fact that the gods are angry with Nigeria. We keep praising past governments as better. This is to tell you that no matter what is done by human effort, it will not work…’’
