    Turntable wizard and Smirnoff ambassador, DJ Spinall, shut down Lagos with the launch party for his newly released album, ‘Dreams’.

    Held at the Grand Ball Room of the Oriental Hotel, the launch was witnessed by friends of the DJ and his fans who trooped in to be a part of history.

    Tagged #PartyofYourDreams, the album launch delivered on the ultimate party experience as some of Nigeria’s hottest superstars; Harry Songs, Terry G, Ice Prince, Niniola, Terry Apala, Becca, Praiz, Reekado Banks, ill Bliss, MrEazi, Small Doctor and Dbanj thrilled the energetic crowed with back to back show stopping performances.

    The highlight of the night was the mind blowing performance from the star of the night Smirnoff Brand Ambassador, Top Boy DJ Spinall as he thrilled on the turntables.

    The epic night pulled out a myriad of people, from diverse backgrounds, all gathered for an electrifying and unforgettable experience as they dropped they rocked all-night.

    #PartyofyourDreams was the 2nd stop of the eight-city Smirnoff X1 Tour. The next stop is Abuja where DJ Spinall and some of Nigeria’s favorite superstars are expected to thrill the city with another epic night come December 22.

    The Lagos State Government on Friday said it has concluded plans to climax the Lagos@50 celebrations with a spectacular display of fireworks.

    The Government, in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, said the fireworks would be on display at midnight of Sunday, May 28 on the water of Eko Atlantic.

    ”This is inform the public that there will be a display of fireworks as part of the music and fashion show to round off the 50thAnniversary Celebrations of the State. The fireworks will be on display at exactly 12 midnight at the Eko Atlantic City during the Golden Concert. Residents do not need to panic or nurse any fear whatsoever when they hear the sound of the fireworks as it is only just a symbolic way to draw the curtains of what has been a very splendid and successful celebration of our golden State.”

    “Residents who cannot attend the concert can also catch it live on Television as it promises to be a historic and exciting night of fun and maximum entertainment”, Ayorinde said.

    The Commissioner also expressed the gratitude of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to the sponsors of the fireworks, Eko Atlantic Nigeria Limited.

    The Lagos@50 Celebration, which began on May 27, 2016, has featured series of events and activities to showcase the cultural essence of the State, including Jazz Meets Runway, International Conferences, Arts Exhibition, Film Shows, among others.

    50 top artistes who have ruled the Lagos music scene over the years are expected to perform at the concert.

    Some of the artistes billed to perform include juju music maestros – King Sunny Ade and Evangelist Ebenezer Obey as well as the legendry Highlife Patriarch, Sir Victor Olaiya.

    Other superstars on board are Davido, Phyno, Olamide, Humble Smith, Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Partoranking, ‘Mr Capable’ Banky W, Runtown, Vanessa, MI, Eedris Abdulkareem, Mr. Eazi, DJ Spinall and Waka Music star, Queen Salawa Abeni.

    Also expected are star Fuji artistes like Adewale Ayuba, Abass Akande Obesere and Wasiu Alabi (Pasuma Wonder).

    The Concert would also feature a fashion show to depict the evolution of fashion in Lagos state.

     

  • DJ SPINALL RENEWS CONTRACT WITH SMIRNOFF

    POPULAR Nigerian Disc Jockey, Sodamola Oluseye Desmond, aka DJ Spinall, has renewed his contract with Smirnoff; making it his second contract with the Vodka Company.

    Making the announcement via his Instagram page, he wrote; “Grateful to God! I did it again with the Best Vodka in the world … Brand Ambassador for Smirnoff – contract renewed.”

    The multiple award-winning DJ is the first Nigerian DJ to be endorsed by any brand in Africa and the first African DJ to tour the United States.

    Present at the signing of the contract at Guinness Headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos were Gavin Pike, Marketing and Innovation Director Guinness Nigeria, Adenike Adebola , Portfolio Director Spirit and Tobi Sanni Daniel, RTD Guinness Nigeria.

    Smirnoff, the iconic premium spirit brand from the stable of Diageo Nigeria Plc has announced DJ Spinall as its brand ambassador.

    The signing of the ace DJ took place at Guinness Nigeria Headquarters in Lagos as part of activities to further entrench the brand among its esteemed consumers.

    Smirnoff, renowned as the world’s number one party brand recently launched a new variant labeled Smirnoff Guarana at a thrilling Double Side party that took place at the Auto-Max Car care shop in Oregun, Lagos.

    Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Liz Ashdown, the Head-Marketing, Spirits and RTD, Guinness Nigeria Plc, explained the rationale behind the choice of DJ Spinall as its brand ambassador in Nigeria.

    “Smirnoff is recognised worldwide as the world premium vodka drink and also the world’s most renowned party brand where high energy parties are occasioned,” Ashdown said.

    “The party experience gets more exciting when you have the right kind of music. DJ Spinall has demonstrated over time that he understands the essence of excitement as far as parties and gatherings are concerned.”

    The official unveiling of DJ Spinall as the Smirnoff Brand Ambassador later took place at the Industry Nite held at Spice Route where “The CAP” himself was behind the wheels of steel. Performances from frontline artistes – Mr. Incredible M.I, Wande Coal, Burna Boy and Iyanya – added glam to the event as the guests were left asking for more.

    Smirnoff and DJ Spinallwill tour various Nigerian cities, unleashing the best of grooves available at its #doubleside parties from July through December 2015.
