    Do-Right Initiative sparks a call to action for national transformation

    The Do-Right Awareness Initiative’s webinar, titled “Making Nigeria Great Again: Your Role, My Role, and Our Role,” has ignited a renewed dedication to national progress through the power of personal and collective action.

    The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including celebrated Channels TV anchor Kayode Okikiolu and Dele Badejo, former CEO of OES Energy Services Limited. 

    Both speakers delivered powerful insights, underscoring the critical role of moral integrity and personal responsibility in addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges.

    As a non-governmental organization founded on the principles of integrity, justice, and courage, the Do-Right Awareness Initiative is spearheading a call for a moral reawakening.

     During her opening remarks, the host, 

    Adesua Adewole posed a pivotal question to participants: “What have you not done right in 2024?” This thought-provoking query set the stage for an in-depth discussion on accountability, the erosion of societal values, and practical pathways to progress.

    Kayode Okikiolu highlighted the importance of redefining societal norms, stating, “We’ve done wrong for so long that it has become the norm. Recalibrating what is right is essential for our national progress.” Drawing on his media experience, he urged young Nigerians to innovate and create solutions tailored to the country’s unique challenges, emphasizing the ripple effect of individual actions aligned with moral courage.

    Similarly, Dele Badejo, known for his ethical leadership in the oil and gas sector, delivered a stirring message on patriotism and sacrifice. “You must really love Nigeria to do right,” he declared. “Doing right is a choice worth making for future generations.

    The interactive webinar provided practical strategies for students and citizens eager to contribute to Nigeria’s development. 

    The speakers championed mentorship, personal accountability, and grassroots platforms like Do-Right clubs in schools to instill moral values from a young age.

    Participants shared testimonials of inspiration, pledging to implement the actionable insights gained from the event within their communities.

    The Do-Right Awareness Initiative continues to mobilize Nigerians through programs that promote uprightness, including school mentorship projects and community outreach initiatives. By fostering a generation committed to integrity, the organization is laying the groundwork for sustainable national transformation.

    As Kayode Okikiolu aptly concluded, “Nobody’s coming to save us, but together, we can save ourselves.”
