Co-founder of Dockaysworld, Dr. Kelvin Ufuah, has shared the challenges his media startup faced in its early years of operation.
According to the doctor turned businessman, the company did not generate any income during the first few years of its existence.
He said: “I developed a passion for media in my early days in school as an undergraduate medical student. I just loved the concept of being able to inform people about the latest events, so I started researching how the media sector works which led to me creating my first website.
“Actually a friend I met in school then helped me set it up. He was in computer science, so I pleaded with him to help me because then that’s how Dockaysworld started”.

“The major challenge then was finance, I didn’t have enough money, coupled with the fact that when you’re just starting out, you don’t have any reach, so most of the time you just get discouraged and quit.
“I used to have friends who came into the media alongside me but only a few of them are still pushing today. The key is to be consistent no matter what.
“It took years before I made a single dollar from Dockaysworld.com.ng You need to understand that it’s the passion that keeps you going even in the toughest of times”.
