Nasarawa United Head Coach, Kabiru Suleiman Dogo has attributed his team’s 2-0 defeat by MFM in the Nigeria Professional Football League Week 21 encounter to fatigue.

According to the tactician: “First of all I have to thank God for everything and I want to congratulate MFM for their victory. We did not play the way we used to because of the fatigue of the players.

“We played a tough match against Enyimba last weekend and traveled almost two days later while MFM had more time to rest. This is a game that we planned to get a victory but unfortunately it changed and my boys didn’t lived up to that expectation.

“I am disappointed with the way we lost the game. Sometimes even if you play well and you eventually lost a game, you will be satisfied. But today we did not play well. I know we are human being and it happens like that.

“We will go back and see what we can do to be able to achieve victory against Ifeanyi Ubah in our next game,” Dogo said.

  • Dogo pleads for support

    Dogo pleads for support

ABS coach, Kabir Dogo has fervently implored the indigenes of Kwara State to embrace the side in the face of the three-match ultimatum handed to the coaching crew.

The management of the llorin-based side on Monday handed the Dogo-led coaching crew a three-match ultimatum as well as a slash on the players’ salary following their dwindling fortune on the log.

ABS forced visiting Wikki Tourists to a 2-2 draw in a Glo Premier League Matchday 26 game at the Kwara State Stadium on Sunday and now occupy the 18th spot in the log on 33 points.

Dogo said he has never doubted the capability of the coaching crew nor the players to not only overcome the ultimatum and excel on the league but the meagre support the side have enjoyed among the football supporters in the state.

“I’m not under pressure by the latest management’s three-match ultimatum even the management knows what the players and I can do, we’re capable of delivering the goods any day, anytime.

“ABS’ problem is beyond coaches or players rather the state indigenes who are yet to embrace the side in same way as Kwara United and give equal support to both sides. ABS are yet to enjoy same support and acceptance extended to their city mates, Kwara United.

“ABS can always stand on their own and acquit themselves very well in a fair and balanced competition. The outcome of our matches beamed live on television are there to attest my claims.

“I can only appeal to the referees to assist the rookies in my fold to grow with more unbiased officiating both in their home and away matches.

“I’m not bothered by the three-match ultimatum because I’m confident we’ll overcome the trying period but equally take the side to their rightful position on the log,” Dogo said to supersport.com.

The three-match ultimatum involves the matchday 27 road trip at Bayelsa United, a home game against Akwa United and another away game to 3SC in Ibadan
