This was disclosed in a statement in Abuja by the editors of the compendium, Kammonke Abam, Tammie Edet-Kammonke, and Steve Ogah
The annual biographical compendium which is jointly published by Gender Perspectives, a gender-focused NGO; and Profiles and Biographies, Nigeria’s leading biographical compendium consultancy firm, serves as Nigeria’s most qualitative compendium that profiles outstanding women across different frontiers and they include innovators, barrier-breakers, activists, top bureaucrats, captains of industry, and celebrities.

Dr. Yibala’s inclusion in this book of eminent women achievers is coming on the heels of her recent extraordinary milestone of being honored with the Professor Bello Osagie Prize for the Overall Best Candidate at the West African College of Surgeons Fellowship Exams in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Additionally, she received the Prof. Oladipo Prize for the Best Female Candidate, making her a role model for women in medicine. Notably, she passed all her exams at the first attempt, demonstrating remarkable intellect and discipline, and bringing pride to Nigeria through her exceptional accomplishments.
Her remarkable career journey, marked by perseverance, passion, and an unyielding drive for excellence, has positioned her as a distinguished leader and a beacon of hope for countless women and families.
Dr. Yibala’s professional journey is adorned with a wealth of clinical experience gained through progressive roles across reputable healthcare institutions.
From her foundational training during housemanship at State House Medical Centre, Abuja, to her impactful service during NYSC at the Federal Ministry of Works Clinic, and subsequent roles as Medical Officer at Life Point Medical Centre, Cedar Crest Hospital, and Nisa Premier Hospital, she has consistently exemplified exceptional patient-centered care.
Her clinical acumen was further honed through rigorous training as Registrar and Senior Registrar at Maitama and Asokoro District Hospitals, ultimately leading to her esteemed role as a Consultant at Wuse District Hospital, FCTA, Abuja.
The compendium is usually unveiled March 8 as part of the activities to mark the International Women’s Day, IWD.
The theme of IWD 2025 is ‘Accelerate Action’, spotlighting the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.
It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.
