Renowned actor and academic, Dr. Columbus Irosanga has passed on.
The sad news was announced by actress Hilda Dokubo on her Instagram page.
“There can’t be a shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport, Rivers State, and the Nollywood.
“Our uncle Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the Lord. Ikoli eh dein na mu.”
Dr. Irosanga was a household name in Nollywood, celebrated for his compelling performances, particularly his iconic role as “Igbudu” in the 2001 blockbuster film, Isakaba.

His exceptional talent earned him numerous awards and recognition, including Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor in a Drama at the City People Entertainment Awards, and several other notable accolades.
Apart from his illustrious acting career, Dr. Irosanga was a distinguished academic, serving as a senior lecturer in the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt.
He was a mentor and inspiration to many aspiring actors and students, leaving a lasting legacy in the academic community.
Dr. Irosanga is survived by his children.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
