tHERapy, a compelling one-woman play, is part of the prestigious J Randle Residency programme which supports young and emerging creatives in Lagos State, providing a platform for their artistic expression.

“We are incredibly proud to present tHERapy as part of the J Randle Residency in celebration of International Women’s Month. We have been working hard to create something truly special and we hope that the audience enjoys and appreciates it,” said Oladotun.

tHERapy delves into the intricate and often challenging realities of womanhood in Nigeria. Through a series of poignant monologues, the play explores a spectrum of experiences, from the societal pressures surrounding childbirth and complex family dynamics to the deeply personal trauma of sexual assault and the nuances of intimate relationships. The protagonist navigates a landscape rife with societal expectations, personal betrayals, and the pervasive double standards and injustices women face.
