    Please forgive me, I was wrongly advised – Mr. Jollof begs Duncan Mighty

    Comedian, Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr. Jollof, has tendered a public apology to Duncan Mighty after calling him out a few hours ago for failing to show up for his concert in Warri, Delta state, after being paid N3 million.

    The Nation reported that Mr Jollof recently called out Duncan Mighty for breaching his contract after collecting N3 million and demanded a refund.

    The comedian has now apologised to the Port Harcourt-born singer after being refunded.

    In a video message shared via his Instagram page, Mr Jollof explained that he called out Duncan Mighty because he was wrongly advised that the singer wouldn’t refund him.

    He said: “Bros, abeg no vex. We youths, we are quick to react due to stigmatisation. I didn’t believe you would scam me but the advice I was receiving from people was why I called you out.

    “Please don’t be angry with me. All my threats were mere rantings. Forgive me, I’m not perfect.”

    He also apologised to DJ Barbie after getting a refund of the N600,000 he sent to her.

    Mr Jollof had previously called out DJ Barbie for failing to show up for the same show after receiving payment.

    AFTER an hour-long Unmissable match between the teams of Spanish football icon, Carles Puyol and Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, on Tuesday, MC Galaxy and Duncan Mighty took to the stage to thrill the audience.

    Kicking off the concert organised by Star Lager Beer, Duncan Mighty waltzed unto the stage like a true ‘Port Harcourt Son’. Chants of ‘Duncan Mighty’ filled the stadium as he grabbed the mic. Without delay, he launched into a medley, performing some of his great hits including ‘Obianuju’, ‘Mama Born Dem’, ‘Fake Love’ and of course his popular hit ‘Port Harcourt Son’ which the excited crowd sang back to him.

    He took things a notch higher when he asked the crowd to show off their Zanku moves. At that announcement, the crowd went into a frenzy as they began to show their different versions of the popular Zanku. Two boys and two girls were selected by the music star to compete in a dance competition where a very energetic Susan Eyo emerged winner.

    To round up his set, Duncan ushered MC Galaxy to the stage with his rendition of Sekem. MC Galaxy charged the ambience with his dance moves, complementing Duncan Mighty as he danced off the stage. Taking over from Duncan Mighty, MC Galaxy launched into a very energetic set, performing fan favourites such as Sekem, ‘Dakada’, ‘fine girl’,’ and all-time favourite nek-unek’.

    MC Galaxy and Duncan Mighty will be headline a Star music concert scheduled to hold in Uyo, Akwa Ibom on April 16.

    MC Galaxy rose to fame after winning the David dance competition in 2012 and Duncan Mighty are very popular in the south south region.

    The event which starts after the Unmissable Match is expected to also usher in Easter.

    Aside music, fans would also be treated to various side attractions, such as watching the Spanish football icon Carles Puyol and Jay JayOkocha displaying their football prowess. Fans also stand the chance to take a selfie with the footballing legends.

  • Hero dazzles fans with music fiesta

    The Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium in Onitsha, Anambra State, came alive penultimate Friday, as Duncan Mighty, Timaya, Harrysong, Omawunmi, Reekado Banks and Rudeboy, one half of PSquare and other artistes, took to the stage to thrill the crowd at the fourth edition of the Hero Lager fiesta themed ‘Bridge edition’.

    Poised as a brand that represents the southeast, Hero was launched into the Nigerian market in August 2012, working its way into the hearts of consumers in the South Eastern region who christened the beer ‘Oh Mpa’, in reverence and as a mark of respect (Mpa means father in Igbo language). The premium lager, Hero, was also only recently knighted with a new crown cork -a Red Cork and with the title of ‘Dike Mba Nile.’

  • WIFE BATTERY: Fans shade Duncan Mighty as new photo emerges

    The drama of the allegation on wife battery levelled against hip hop artiste, Duncan Mighty, has taken a new dimension with the emergence of a new photo. In the photo, purportedly taken in 2017, the Port-Harcourt-based artiste was seen with Marvis, a 2017 Big Brother housemate.

    He was seen with Marvis and another lady with a similar background with a picture showing his ‘wife’s’ battered face.

    In the unearthed 2017 Instagram post, purportedly done by Duncan Mighty, he welcomes Marvis to his house. “#bbnaija2017,” he begins.

    “So happy to have u in my palace… what a humble sister @therealmarvis …happy sunday fam.”

    However, internet trolls were quick to spot that the chair and the staircase and railings i n the backgrounds of the unearthed picture and the picture of his ‘battered wife.’

    While some fans are saying the ‘battered lady’ is not Duncan Mighty’s wife, others claim the person is the star’s wife and have been blasting the artiste for such an act.

    There may be no fact in the news that Port-Harcourt-based hip hop artiste, Duncan Mighty, allegedly beat his wife to pulp, as is being speculated on the social media.

    Last week, pictures of a lady with a battered face tagged to be his wife circulated on the internet.

    The singer, in an Instagram post accompanied by pictures of himself and his wife and a video of his wife and baby, rubbished the wife-beating allegation. He also recalled how sections of the media have been following his life and seeking to destroy his family with fake news.

    “The next news will be that I used my wife for coming back, what do you gain to tarnish my image with lies that I brutalized my wife,” he started.

    “Hehehe, una come late.”

    He then recalled various instances where ‘fake news’ was written about him, even relating that he met a certain blogger who told him his lack of scandal is what has kept him unique.

    Duncan Mighty, the self-styled Port Harcourt King also warned bearers of fake news to leave him and his family alone.

    “I no come Lagos to find Fame,” he said.

    “For your information, my Marriage is not one of those you people broke down and will never be. For your info I am the winner of my marriage my wife and kids can’t do without Daddy every moment. The more you make people hate me the more they love me more.”

    He also used the opportunity to promo his latest single.

    “Please don’t allow these fools make you forget we dropping one of the biggest TUNE of our time AZA DAVIDO DUNCANMIGHTY PERUZI,” he wrote. “I LOVE MA FANS.”

    While we slept, Duncan Mighty, popularly known as Wene Mighty came and filled our ears with songs. As hilarious as it might seem, some artistes have a way of reasserting their presence when least expected, and such has been the case for the Rivers State born artiste. The ‘Port Harcourt First son’ who came into the Nigerian Music industry as a producer and sound engineer in 2006 and later delved into the singing aspect which apparently paid off and he stuck to.

    In 2010, his second studio album, Legacy(Ahamefuna) made him the rave of the industry, with its frontline single, Port Harcourt Son gaining him airplay even in Lagos and also earning him the nickname and title; Port Harcourt First Son. He continued to make music and released three other albums up until 2016, which didn’t get as much airplay. After being reportedly involved in politics and oil business in the Niger Delta for so long, one would think the art of music making was lost on him already; but he surprised us with a comeback hit in May 2018, featuring Wizkid titled Fake Love. The hype around the song’s release was intense, fortunately it was accepted by fans of both stars and got massive air play.

    Even after 5 albums to his name; Duncan Mighty has found a way over the years, to stay relevant and ever dynamic as he continues doling out back to back hits. With the magnitude of acceptance the collaboration with Wizkid got, he went on to feature on Ceeza Milli’s Sabi and Masterkraft’s Low Waist which also features Flavour. Other features are on the Mavin label’s golden boy, Reekado Bank’s Bio Bio, DJ Xclusive’s Gimme Love and a couple others.

    The artiste has been sighted on social media recently with Nigerian Afro fusion/Reggae/Dancehall artiste Burnaboy in the studio, fueling rumors of a possible collaboration in the nearest future. We can only keep our fingers crossed and hope that Wene Mighty keeps serving us dope music.

    It was an unforgettable night of music and funfair last Sunday as residents of the Garden City, Port Harcourt, were treated to superlative performances by the superstar duo of Duncan Mighty and Harrysong.

    Held at the Star Ground, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, the Port Harcourt Real Deal Experience, sponsored by Legend Extra Stout, erupted in an excited and deafening roar when the superstars emerged.

    Duncan Mighty, the proud Port Harcourt boy as he calls himself was the first to mount the stage. The singer, known for his original and localized tunes and lyrics, mesmerized the audience performing some of his biggest hits like ‘Port Harcourt Son’, ‘Obianuju’, ‘Dance for Me’, and ‘Ako Na Uche’ among others.

    Overwhelmed by the show of love from the fans, a teary Duncan said,” I feel special, I feel loved. This has been more than just a show for me and I want to thank my amazing fans for their support. They’ve always stood by me like a family. I also appreciate Legend for putting this together…honestly you (Legend) might not realize how far this kind of initiative goes, but trust me, this is very commendable.”

    On his part, Harrisong took the fun to another level when he led the audience in a singalong. From ‘Beta Pikin’ to ‘Baba for the Girls’, ‘Samankwe’, and ‘Ofeshe’, the former 5 Star Music strongman delivered a breath-taking performance that will be long talked about in the city of Port Harcourt.

    In addition to the musical performances, winners of the online talent competition went home N50,000 richer, while several other fans and consumers won other exciting prizes.

    WITH the present state of pipeline bombing in the Niger Delta, Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, popularly known as Duncan Mighty, and currently serving as the Coalition of South-South Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture Youth/Brand Ambassador, has claimed that he had a successful meeting with the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, on Wednesday 23, 2016.

    The artiste shared a photo with an army squad on his Instagram page with the caption “With MA Squaddie”.

    Adding he is proud of his job, Duncan Mighty wrote; “With MA Squaddie, proud of my Job. Successful meeting with media on Niger Delta Avengers issues. It is only peace that can bring about sustainable development in our region”.

    The artiste, who has not been regular in the music circle of recent, will be collaborating soon with the winner of Duncan Mighty Free Style Challenge, Graham D.

    The artiste disclosed this via his Instagram page, saying, “Osheee…Sweden and Austria and now US tour kicks off on October 3. Port Harcourt’s first son disturbing the globe with his new hit single titled Package, a local tradition love song for his fans to enjoy.”
