Nigeria international Lukman Haruna will not be on parade at the Nordiyske Arena when Dynamo Kiev square off against Aalborg in the Europa League today.

“I am sad we lost that important game and so missed out Champions League qualification but that is football for you. It’s full of surprises, you get some shock results when expectations are high but life continues and we will bounce back,” the Nigeria midfielder told MTNFootball.com.

“It was a painful loss as we lost two targets at a time, losing to Tavriya means we are out of the Champions League, and it is very sad seeing ourselves in such situations. I think we are not destined to be there this time around but we will compensate the fans next time.”

He added: “We did all we could to ensure the victory, but I think it was not just our day because we knew what it meant to lose the game. As it is now, we will do our best to make our fans smile as we play the Europa League and league next season.”

This outgoing season, they reached the group stage of the Champions League.

The former Nigeria U17 skipper, who is rumoured to quit Dynamo Kiev with clubs in Germany, Russia and England monitoring him, said he is not thinking about a transfer.

“As I am speaking to you, I don’t know where my future lies. I am still relevant to Dynamo Kiev and I don’t want to be distracted about transfers. That would come at the best time for me but I am happy here,” he said.
