    Eagles Tracker: Bashiru nets third Serie A goal as Sadiq, Osayi-Samuel join   winning train

    Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru notched his third Serie A goal of the season from 15 games to round off Lazio’s 5-1 thrashing  of Monza in Rome yesterday.

    Bashiru that came on in the 65th  minute was on the score sheet in the 88th minute to crown an eventful evening for Lazio who remain in the fourth spot with 45 points from 24 games.

    The Nigerian has scored five goals and made two assists from 21 games in all competitions.

    In Spain, Umar Sadiq bagged his third game for relegation haunted Valencia since his move to the club in the January transfer window to help his on loan club to a 2-0 home win over Leganes.

    Sadiq had featured seven times for Real Sociedad before he made the switch to Valencia. He was introduced by his on loan club in the 59th  minute in place of Hugo Duro and he was a thorn in the flesh of the Leganes’ defence to ensure they protect their 2-0 lead.

    Valencia are 18th  on the log with 22 points.

    Fast rising Chrisantus Uche played only the first half of Getafe 1-0 away win at Deportivo Alaves. Uche clocked his 23rd league game of the season in his debut campaign with two goals to his credit already.

    Elsewhere  in the Turkish Super Lig, Brighton Osayi-Samuel was introduced in the 70th  minute of Fenerbahce’s 2-0 away win at Alanyanspor. It was his 15th game in the league and 25 games in all competitions.

    Due to the latest win, Fenerbahce still remain in second spot behind Galatasaray who started Victor Osimhen in their botched  home tie against Adana Demirspor.

    Osimhen did get his 17th  game of the season but the visitors, Adana Demirspor inexplicably stopped the game and headed back to their base on the 32nd minute for the centre referee to call off the game.

    In Holland, Hamdi Akujobi’s Almere City returned to winning ways after several losses in their 1-0 win at Utrecht. They are still last in the Dutch Eredivisie table with 13 points from 21 games. Akujobi has played in all the games.

    Sevilla lost more ground on the La Liga table following a 2-0 home loss to Girona as the Spanish League entered Matchday Three last weekend. 

    Chidera Ejuke started the game and lasted the entire duration but his compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho sat out the game. 

    New Getafe sensation, Chrisantus Uche was on for 90 minutes before he was replaced in his club’s goalless home draw with Real Sociedad who also started Super Eagles’ Umar Sadiq in the tie. 

    Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka failed to make his debut for on loan club, Augsburg who were thrashed 4-0 by newly promoted German Bundesliga side, FC Heidenheim. 

    In France, OGC Nice defeated Angers 4-1 for their first win of the season after three games. Nice got the win without their Super Eagles talisman, Terem Moffi who is still recovering from a knee injury. They improved to eighth spot with four points.

    In another Ligue 1 tie, Gabriel Osho’s Auxerre were beaten 3-1 by Le Havre. It was their second straight loss of the season from three games. They fell to 13th with just three points. Osho was available for 66 minutes before he was replaced. 

    In Belgium, League reigning champions, Club Brugge spanked city rivals, Cercle Brugge 3-0 with Super Eagles midfielder, Raphael Onyedika on for the entire game’s duration. Club Brugge are now in third spot with 10 points from six games. 

    In another game in Belgium, Jordan Torunarigha provided the assist for Sven Kums in the 16th minute but Gent has to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Royal Antwerp. Torunarigha was substituted in the 46th  minute. A certain Victor Udoh featured for Royal Antwerp. He came on in the 77th  minute. 

    In Scotland, the Old Firm derby was one sided again with Celtic pummelling Rangers 3-0. Super Eagles attacker, Cyriel Dessers played for the Gers but fired blank. He received a yellow card in the 67th  minute. His compatriot and teammate, Leon Balogun was brought on in the 80th  minute as Rangers dropped to the fourth spot with seven points from four games. 

    In England, Tom Dele-Bashiru played the entire 90 minutes but his club, Watford were pinned 1-0 at Sheffield United. The defeat ended the Hornets perfect start to the season. 

    In the United States MLS, former Flying Eagles striker, Obinna Nwobodo was in the FC Cincinnati side that mauled CF Montreal’s Ibrahim Sunusi 4-1. Nwobodo was available for 90 minutes while Sunusi was an unused substitute.

    Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, bagged his first goal of the season as Nantes  secured their first win of the season in their 2-0 home victory over Auxerre in a French Ligue One tie.

    Simon who didn’t have the best of last season due to injury, put his club in the driver’s seat in the 14th  minute before Bahereba Guirassy doubled the advantage in the sixth minute of additional time.The win lifted Nantes to four points from two games. 

    Another Nigerian who had received Super Eagles call up in the past, Gabriel Osho also played for Auxerre in the same game. 

    In another game, OGC Nice were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Toulouse with Super Eagles attacker, Terem Moffi still out injured.

    In England, Liverpool defeated Brentford 2-0 with Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka in a cameo appearance. 

    Onyeka was brought on in the 73rd  minute for his second game of the season with the Bees already two goals down in the encounter. 

    It was Brentford’s first loss of the season. 

    In Italy, Ademola Lookman was  overlooked for selection by Atalanta who travelled to Torino yesterday in a 2-1 loss as he finalizes his move away from the club before the end of the transfer window. 

    Atalanta had won their first game of the season without Lookman but they were unable to secure any points in the away defeat to Torino.

    PSG, Arsenal and Liverpool are rumoured to be the clubs that have made enquiries about the Nigerian with the French club reportedly in the front burner. 

    In Belgium, Raphael Onyedika was in thick of action for Club Brugge who got another maximum points away to FCV Dender to move to the seventh spot with seven points from five games.

    Onyedika played the entire duration of the game which they won 2-1 as the reigning league champions continue their gradual upward move back to the top.

    Also in Turkey, Kenneth Omeruo was introduced in the 90th minute of Kasimpasa’s 2-2 draw at home to Adana Demirspor.

    Kasimpasa were ahead 2-0 before they relinquished the lead with the equalizing goal coming in the 93rd  minute.
