Empoli and Super Eagles defender Tyrone Ebuehi have disclosed that he is delighted to return to the pitch after his lengthy injury layoff.
The Nigerian international suffered a serious injury in March 2024 during a Serie A clash between Empoli and Bologna — a setback that kept him out of action for nearly a year.
Ebuehi finally made his return to the pitch last weekend in a match against Cagliari which ended goalless, marking a significant milestone in his recovery journey following about four appearances on the bench.

“It was the second serious injury of my career. I was out for a year, and it was very difficult,” he told the club’s media.
“There were tough moments, but now I’m just happy to be back.”
Now back in the squad, the 28-year-old is focused on helping Empoli in their fight to avoid relegation.
“I feel ready and determined to contribute. I want to help the team in this final part of the season,” he added.
