Edo State would be aglow as city big boy, Gabriel Edioghon, buries his mother, Madam Christiana Egbodo Edeoghon, in Idumagbo, Ekpoma.
The deceased passed on at the age of 91.
A statement by Edioghon Committee of Friends led by the duo of Evhi Oyeghre and Ovy Keith Oronsaye, said no efforts would be spared in giving the deceased a befitting burial.
In the statement which reads in part, the Committee said, “We won’t spare any effort in our quest to give mama, who was a mother to us in our youthful days, a befitting burial. The security from Benin to Edo Central has been taken care of to ensure a hitch free celebration of life. The who is who in society would gather to give mama a befitting burial. Mama lived and died well. To live in the hearts of those she left behind is not to die. “

In a related development, the family said funeral arrangements would commence from Thursday, November 6, with a mass at Stella Marris Catholic Church, Iruekpen.
It said internment would follow at No 2 Jolly Hostel Close, Ekpoma while entertainment of guests comes next at the same venue.
According to the statement, reception is scheduled to take place at Stevik Events Centre, off Sapele Road, Benin City, on November 9.
The next day, November 10, there would be a thanksgiving service at Christian Pentecostal Centre Benin City.
