Egungun cited his staff as examples, revealing that his chef, personal assistants, and videographer are all degree holders but work for him.

He emphasised that despite their educational backgrounds, he employed them, suggesting that success is not solely determined by education.

“School does not guarantee the success of man. I have a chef, Tayo who is educated. He read biology in school. He has two degrees. He is a nutritionist and a dietitian. He graduated with a second-class upper. I also have 5 staff. All my PAs also have degrees. My videographer too is a graduate,” he said.

Egungun of Lagos breaks silence after leaked video sparks controversy

Popular content creator, Kuye Adegoke, widely known as Egungun of Lagos, has broken silence following the leak of his private video showing him exposing himself during a video call with an unidentified woman.

After the video has sparked widespread backlash and mixed reactions online, Egungun posted on his Instagram, seeming unbothered with a dancing video.

Before the video’s release, Egungun’s wife, Pashotah, had addressed a blackmail attempt involving her husband’s private footage.

On his social media on Sunday, she defended their relationship, emphasizing its foundation of trust, loyalty, and understanding built over six to eight years.

In her statement, Pashotah revealed that the blackmailer had approached her instead of Egungun, attempting to shame her.

“Hi guys, someone is blackmailing me with my husband’s videos. My name is Pashotah and you all know my husband is, obviously I know so many people have wanted to bring both of us down including guys and girls.

However, reactions on social media have been mixed, with some defending Egungun and his wife, while others have condemned his actions

Laviva_bae: “My question is, why will a man do something bad and his wife will be the one defending him on social media. The man no fit defend himself?”

Skinny_mido: “In my opinion, a woman who defends a promiscuous man is no different from the man”

Mercy Akuma in her opinion, said, “Egungun wife has every right to stick to her man no matter what she seesIt’s her choice.”

Meanwhile, a user with the name, Mr Afowose opined, “So she should leave him and go where?

“Yo, another man that would still cheat and not love her like her husband is doing? The fact that y’all think a man cheating and a woman cheating is the same will always be funny because women will choose a cheater who is taking care of her 50 times over a broke niqqa.”

David Isemin wrote, “She would have just stayed silent on the matter. That would have been a more better damage control.”
