Fayose’s supporters boycott Ekiti PDP ward congress

A group loyal to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has boycotted the ward congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Ekiti State at the weekend.

It was gathered that Fayose had directed his loyalists across the 16 local governments to boycott the exercise, citing the illegal dissolution of the party executives in the state by the national leadership of the PDP.

The ex-governor was said to have argued that the positions of the party executives from the ward to the state level were not vacant by law; hence the congress was not necessary and illegal.

The PDP national leadership had last year dissolved the PDP executives in the state, which were said to be the loyalists of Fayose and constituted a caretaker committee to run the affairs of the party.

But, the sacked PDP executives kicked against the dissolution of the ward, local and state executives committee, arguing that the national leadership lacked the power to sack the party executives duly elected by delegates at the congress.

However, despite the boycott, the ward congress held across 177 wards witnessed huge turnout of party members.

Our correspondent, who monitored the exercise, observed that PDP members in their large numbers turned out to elect the executives that would pilot the affairs of the party at the ward level.

Addressing reporters in Ado-Ekiti, the Chairman of the Ekiti State congress panel, Chief Afolabi Adekanbi, hailed PDP members for a rancour-free congress in the 177 wards across the 16 councils.

He lauded party leaders for their discipline and maturity before, during and after the exercise, saying the peaceful conduct signified a bright future for Ekiti PDP.

The panel chairman said the state chapter had set a very good example for others across Nigeria, adding what happened in Ekiti State was a threat to the ruling party, ‘’as it’s now clear that PDP is more organised than any other party in Nigeria.’’

He, however, urged members of the party in the state to maintain the same tempo in subsequent congresses. “It’s not over until it’s over.”

The Chairman of the caretaker panel in the state, Chief Dare Adeleke, lauded members of the congress panel for doing a good job, saying their conduct played a significant role in the success of the congress.

He equally commended members of the party in the state for making sure the ward congress was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere.

He said the successful conduct of the ward congresses demonstrated PDP’s ability to organise and conduct peaceful elections, enjoining the newly elected ward executives to carry party members along in running the affairs of the party.

Congress: Ekiti PDP leaders vow to resist Fayose’s alleged plan to hijack party structures

Ahead of the forthcoming congresses of the opposition People Democratic Party in Ekiti state, some leaders of the party have vowed to resist attempts by former governor Ayodele Fayose to hijack the party’s structures.

Speaking at the party’s stakeholders and leader meeting held in Ado-Ekiti, former PDP chairman, Gboyega Oguntuase, insisted that the party would never again allow the ex-governor to hijack the party and trade it for self aggrandizement.

Oguntuase said that Fayose and his co-travellers jostling to take over the party should look elsewhere, noting that party members have known that he was a mole for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former PDP chairman alleged that the APC is doing everything possible to sponsor individuals to take over the PDP and scuttle the chance of the opposition party in the 2026 governorship election.

He disclosed that the party leaders in the state have unanimously endorsed the PDP senatorial in 2023 general election for Ekiti North, Mr. Funso Ayeni for state chairman in the coming congresses.

He said: “The meeting is for members across the 16 LGAs in state; discussing and mapping out strategies on how we can stop some people from sabotaging Ekiti PDP and there is a consensus if PDP must be saved from those dealing with the party recklessly and without integrity, the only way is to adopt a chairman who has interest of the party.

“It is so clear that former governor, betrayed the party in the last elections in the state and he is unapologetic about those decisions and those things are elements of sabotage and we must stop those people from hijacking the party going forward.

“If truly we want to rescue the party, we must have a consensus on a chairman with integrity, who is vibrant and young ; who will not sell out the party and they have spoken that Funsho Ayeni should be picked.

“But we are not going to stop at that especially some few leaders who are not on same page with us on the basis of zoning, we will discuss with them that what is important now is to get viable chairman who will be able to stand on his own and will not compromise at the point of intimidation.

“So, after getting the governorship back to the PDP in 2026, then we can of course start zoning but zoning without the governorship seat we mean nothing.”

Responding, Ayeni commended the stakeholders for their decisions to endorse him for the state chairmanship position, assuring them that when elected he would unite the party and make it formidable towards capturing power in the 2026 governorship election.

He called on the PDP National Working Committee NWC to be wary of Fayose’s antics, adding that members of the party would no longer tolerate his anti-party activities going forward.

“This is a man who has gone on the media that he is supporting the APC and governor Biodun Oyebanji for second term and someone said he is calling for unity of PDP, what type of unity is that ?

“Let’s send this message to the NWC that these people who have sold the party should not be trusted with the structures ahead of the congress,” he said.

  • Fresh crisis hits Ekiti PDP as SWC members tackle chairman

Fresh crisis hits Ekiti PDP as SWC members tackle chairman

A fresh crisis has hit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State ahead of the state congresses.

Some members of the State Working Committee (SWC) accused the State Chairman, Chief Agboola Alaba, of failing to carrying the executives along in decision making.

They claimed that Alaba was running the party like his personal fiefdom without recourse to other executive members.

A joint statement by members of the SWC after an emergency meeting, worried over Alaba’s action on issues relating with the coming congress, adding that decisions not discussed or agreed upon by the SWC members were being championed.

The statement was signed by Lanre Omolase (Deputy Chairman), Mrs. Funmilayo Ogun Secretary), Aare Amerijoye (Youth Leader), Abeni Olayinka (Organizing Secretary), Sunday Olowolafe (Legal Adviser), Funsho Afolayan (Northern senatorial chairman), Chief Folashade Akintade (Auditor), Chief Paul Oluwole (Treasurer), Gani Bakare (Fin. Secretary) and Ojo Gold (Central senatorial chairman)

They argued that Agboola has failed to unite the party for success saying his leadership has not effectively advanced the party’s aims and objective but rather caused disarray within the party ranks.

The statement reads: “It is clear that the chairman has continuously violated the ethical standards expected of SWC members, and has flagrantly flouted party rules. The incorrect notion that he is the sole administrator of the party, without consulting the SWC must be corrected without further delay.

“The chairman may need to engage in extensive consultation, particularly by tapping into the knowledge and experience of the Party Working Committees at the National and Zonal levels, in order to know how to make informed decisions in collaboration with the members of the State Working Committee.

“As members dedicated to the progress and success of the PDP in Ekiti State, we urge him to adjust his leadership style to meet the trust and expectations of our members. Therefore, we have collectively agreed to issue this warning to the chairman for him to be mindful of the consequences of his actions…”

But Agboola denied allegations of him taking unilateral decisions on behalf of the party and promoting factions. He explained that the party constitution and guidelines did not provide for one man to run the affairs of the party, saying that the contestations and agitations were expected in a political party especially ahead of the scheduled congresses.

Congress: Fresh crisis hits Ekiti PDP as SWC members tackle chairman

A fresh crisis is currently brewing in the Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the forthcoming congresses in the state.

Some members of the State Working Committee (SWC) accused the party’s state chairman, Chief Agboola Alaba of failing to carrying the executives along in decision making.

The party executives claimed that the party chairman was running opposition PDP like his personal fiefdom without recourse to other executive members constitutionally recognised organs in the party.

In a joint statement signed by members of the SWC after an emergency meeting, they expressed worry over the activities of the chairman on issues relating with the party forthcoming congress, adding that decisions not discussed nor agreed upon by the SWC members were being championed.

The statement was signed by Lanre Omolase (deputy chairman), Mrs Funmilayo Ogun (state secretary), Aare Amerijoye (state youth leader) , Abeni Olayinka ( state organizing secretary) , Sunday Olowolafe (Legal Adviser) , Funsho Afolayan(Northern senatorial chairman) , Chief Folashade Akintade (state auditor) , Chief Paul Oluwole (state treasurer) , Gani Bakare ( Fin. Secretary) and Ojo Gold (Central senatorial chairman).

They argued that Agboola has failed to unite the party for success saying, his leadership has not effectively advanced the party’s aims and objective but rather caused disarray within the party ranks.

The statement reads: “It is clear that the state chairman has continuously violated the ethical standards expected of SWC members and has flagrantly flouted Party rules. The incorrect notion that he is the sole administrator of the Party, without consulting the SWC must be corrected without further delay.

“The state chairman may need to engage in extensive consultation, particularly by tapping into the knowledge and experience of the Party Working Committees at the national and zonal levels, in order to know how to make informed decisions in collaboration with the members of the State Working Committee.

“As members dedicated to the progress and success of the PDP in Ekiti State, we urge him to adjust his leadership style to meet the trust and expectations of our members.

“Therefore, we have collectively agreed to issue this stern warning to the State Chairman Engr. Alaba Agboola and for him to be mindful of the consequences of his actions.

“Unity and solidarity within our party are crucial at this time and adherence to established rules is essential for the collective welfare and future of the party.

The State Working Committee is the only constitutionally empowered organ responsible for the day-to-day administration and decision-making processes of the party in the state, and it is accountable to the State Executive committee.

“This decision was reached during the last SWC meeting chaired by the State Chairman, that the State Executive Committee meeting be slated and it was afterwards slated for May 28th 2024. The Chairman should not mistakenly believe he has the autonomy to disregard SWC decisions by following directives from a specific faction.

“We, the majority members of the SWC, stand united in this declaration for the State Executive Committee meeting scheduled for May 28th 2024. We advise the Chairman to desist from assuming unilateral authority to call any party meeting without SWC discussion and validation. We insist that no agreement was made for a State Caucus meeting; only the State Executive Committee meeting will proceed as scheduled.”

But, in his reaction, the state chairman, Alaba Agboola denied the allegations from the ten-man SWC members about him taking unilateral decisions on behalf of the party and promoting factions.

He explained that the constitutions and guidelines in the PDP did not provide for one man to run the affairs of the part, saying that the contestations and agitations were expected in a political party especially ahead of the scheduled congresses.

On whether the state caucus meeting will go ahead as scheduled, the state chairman revealed that the leaders and stakeholders of the party would decide the way forward during the Monday’s meeting.

  • Ekiti PDP to contest outcome of polls at tribunal

THE Ekiti State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed readiness to challenge the outcome of State and National Assembly elections for alleged irregularities.

It described the general elections conducted in the state as a charade, which negates acceptable democratic standard.

PDP State Chairman Chief Gboyega Oguntuwase said the presidential, National Assembly and House of Assembly elections in the state were marred by violence, ballot-snatching, ballot stuffing, vote buying allegedly perpetrated by All Progressives Congress (APC) members “to win all available legislative seats in the state”.

Oguntuwase, who spoke in Ado Ekiti yesterday while reviewing the elections, said the party had “resolved not to allow the rape of democracy go unchallenged and hence our resolve to approach the judiciary as the only democratic process available”.

He said: “We have given all our candidates in the National Assembly elections the go-ahead to pursue the cases against the elections at the tribunal because, if the broad daylight robbery against democratic principles goes unchallenged, it is going to consume the nation and our democratic norms and process.

“The general elections in Ekiti State were bedeviled by violence, ballot snatching, threat to lives, threat to properties and the entire state was riddled with uncivilised attitude to politics.”

The PDP chairman, who hinged the resolve to challenge the National Assembly elections on the party’s “commitment to purifying the system”, however, did not state the team of lawyers being lined up by the party for the legal battle “for tactical reasons”.

But the APC State Publicity Secretary, Ade Ajayi, dismissed the allegations, saying: “It is an afterthought. The elections in Ekiti were held under peaceful atmosphere. Ekiti people went to the polls without rancour or violence.”

Ajayi, who said the PDP resort to the tribunal was commendable as the opposition party did not toe the line of violence, said: “We will meet them there. They are free to go to court. They have the constitutional backing. I commend them for not resorting to violence. When we get to the courts, we will defeat them again because the truth will always prevail.

“INEC was proactive enough to release the results as early as possible. Ekiti people felt the impacts of good governance within four months of Fayemi’s administration and they then realised the PDP deceived them for four years.

“And they in turn reciprocate the good deeds of APC with massive votes. That was what the general elections in the state reflected,” Ajayi said.

  • Fayose, Olujimi inaugurate parallel Campaign Council

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti worsened on Tuesday as former Governor Ayodele Fayose and Senate Minority Leader Biodun Olujimi inaugurated parallel Atiku /Obi Campaign Council.

While Fayose’s inauguration took place at his former campaign office in Adebayo area of the state capital, Olujimi’s inauguration took place at the Ajilosun area and was attended by party leaders loyal to her.

But Fayose declared the inauguratio by Olujimi as an effort in futility and action that lacks substance.

He warned he was not contesting for any elective position, saying that he may mobilise the people to vote against those he described as ‘traitors’.

“They need me more than I need them. We will ask our people to vote against these betrayers,” he began.

The infuriated former governor said: “The campaign council was carefully selected to cut across all shades of opinion in the state PDP, wondering what the complaint was all about”.

He added there were still rooms for others, including those aggrieved to be part of the sub committees that would be set up by the council.

Chairman of the campaign council for the two camps and former Deputy Governor, Prof Kolapo Olusola, who distanced himself from Olujimi’s inauguration, said Olujimi’s council was unconstitutional and illegal.

“There is no alternative campaign council except this one. Any other campaign council where my name appears is illegal,” he said.

Ekiti PDP chairman, Barrister Gboyega Oguntuase, noted the Fayose -led council was the legitimate and authentic body.

He said: “This is the legal and legitimate gathering for the event. This is the centre of the leadership of the party in Ekiti State.

“Any other gathering is not only illegal but it is also provocative but we shall not be provoked.

“Wherever the party chairman is the centre and since the state party chairman is here, and it is this only place that this inauguration remain valid.”

Olujimi condemned Fayose’s council, saying it was a total nullity.

She stressed injustice breeds impunity and that if the party stakeholders met and selected people,  no individual including Fayose has the right to void same.

She said: “He was not a party to the selection of the campaign council, they have a right to continue with their assignment. What we said we don’t want is to say that they don’t matter.

“Those appointed have started work. They have even written letters to the state government for the release of the Stadium.

“They were supposed to have been inaugurated on January 3rd. Suddenly everything changed and Fayose fiddled with the list.

“Why we are here is that we are saying that we cannot shift the goalpost in the middle of the game. We are standing by the original list.”

  • 300 Ekiti PDP members join APC over alleged imposition of candidates

The ranks of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have swelled in Ekiti State with the crossing over of about 300 members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ire-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area.

The defectors said they quit the PDP over alleged imposition of State Assembly and National Assembly candidates ahead of the 2019 general elections and alleged one-man dictatorship in the umbrella party.

At a well attended rally held in the town on Friday, the defectors who were led by Hon. Emmanuel Ogunlayi and Hon. Stephen Mosele said they were left with no option than to join the APC because their complaints were allegedly rebuffed and left unattended to.

They added that they were attracted to the APC by what they described as “President Muhammadu Buhari’s impressive performances at the
federal level” promising to work harder for their new party at the coming elections.

The former PDP members said who pledged allegiance to the APC at Ire Ekiti Ward 1 and Ward 2 were attracted to the broom party by former House of Representatives member for Oye/Ikole Federal Constituency, Hon. Bimbo Daramola.

They were received by the state APC Chairman, Mr. Paul Omotoso, who led other members of the State Executive Committee to the community for the defection rally.

Speaking at the rally, Daramola welcomed them into the APC saying the people of the state will begin to enjoy a new lease of life the moment
the governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, is sworn into office.

Daramola said he is seeking the APC ticket to return to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly to provide good governance and complement Fayemi’s efforts to make Ekiti get its fair share in the Nigerian federation.

He also said Ekiti will benefit from having a ranking member in the next House of Representatives niting that his membership of the federal parliament between 2011 and 2015 brought dividends of democracy to the constituents.

Daramola said: “You can see that good things are happening in Ekiti APC and this was as a result of my ambition for the House of Representatives. I am re-contesting based on my records and reputation in APC and it is on these bases that I want to be judged.

“They knew what I did in my first term. I built a 32-bed hospital in this town among other things I did for my constituents. APC knew the
value of having a ranking lawmaker in Abuja.

“They knew the value of having a qualitative legislator who can complement Dr Kayode Fayemi here, because the expectations of our people are daunting.

“My contesting is not to acquire power and wealth, but to consolidate democratic gains for my people. Within six months Fayemi is sworn-in, the euphoria of inauguration will be over and people will expect gains from government and this makes it necessary for us to have those who can complement his efforts and that I know I am qualified of achieving if given the chance”, he said.

Daramola assured that he would protect the defectors and ensure that they are not sidelined in the scheme of things in APC.

The APC State Chairman, Omotoso, said: “This is a good omen ahead of 2019. We thank God for delivering us from Governor Ayodele Fayose in the July 14 governorship poll, that accounted for the benefit we are enjoying today.

“In APC, there are no new and old members, we are all one. No discrimination. Whatever due for those that have been here before will be due to you. We operate like one indivisible family”.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Hon. Stephen Mosele promised that they would add value to APC by ensuring that President Buhari and
other contestants win during the 2019 election.

He added: “PDP has disappointed us, it is being controlled by one man. The voices of members are no longer recognized. Their contributions
mean nothing to the powers that be and such party is bound to collapse as we are witnessing.”

  • Abductors demand N30m for Ekiti PDP chief

    •Kidnappers demand N30m ransom

Suspected gunmen have kidnapped the Financial Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Mr. Kayode Oni.

He was reportedly abducted at the weekend at a location between Efon and Erio, about 4:30 pm, while heading for Aramoko, the headquarters of Ekiti West Local Government.

The PDP chieftain was said to be returning from Efon where he officiated at the party’s local government congress.

PDP spokesman Jackson Adebayo told reporters yesterday that the kidnappers had established contact with the victim’s wife and younger brother, demanding N30 million ransom.

He said Oni, who was in his car with his daughter and grandson, was waylaid and taken to an unknown destination.

Adebayo said only Oni was kidnapped.

His words: “He went to conduct our local government congress in Efon Alaaye and was abducted while returning to Aramoko.

“The family has been contacted. They told the abductors that the entire family can’t even raise N1 million and they are asking for a whopping N30 million.

“The family told us that they have complained at the police station in Efon.

“Our party is not resting. We are making contacts to ensure his release.”

Police Commissioner Mr. Abdullahi Chafe neither denied nor confirmed the incident.

He said he was out of Ekiti and had not been briefed.

He promised to give details about the incident later.

Chafe said: “I can’t confirm the kidnap now. There is no way I will know because I am not in Ekiti State as I speak with you. But I will give you details later.”

  • Ekiti PDP faults Fayemi, APC for alleged stoppage of N11m refund

Ekiti PDP faults Fayemi, APC for alleged stoppage of N11m refund

Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticised the Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly stopping N11 billion refund on roads.

The ruling party in the state said the alleged action of the minister and his party demonstrated their hatred for the workers and interest of the state.

A former Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Kolawole, had filed a suit at a Federal High Court in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, to stop the Ayo Fayose administration from accessing the N11 billion refund on the work done on Ado-Ifaki Road.

Joined in the suit are: Governor Fayose, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Director General, Debt Management Office, among others.

A statement yesterday in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, by the state’s PDP Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, accused Fayemi and his party of playing “destructive politics” that could retard the development of the state.

Adebayo condemned what he called the celebration of the stoppage of the refund by the APC on various social media platforms.

This, the statement said, confirmed “that the opposition is a true enemy of the masses and an albatross alternative in Ekiti State”.

The statement added: “It is unfortunate APC members are displaying deep ignorance and lack of patriotism, raising questions on how allocations are being spent, instead of joining hands in demanding what is right and resources due to Ekiti.

“We challenge the minister and his party to explain to the people the propriety of this callous extension of the Federal Government’s deliberate economic humiliation of Nigeria to Ekiti.

“The PDP would not have been worried if the refund does not have a direct implication on the welfare of civil servants in the state.

“We want to stress that efforts of Governor Fayose to offset the salary arrears of workers before the end of his tenure should not be compromised by a reasonable individual and a party that meant well for the state.”

  • ‘Ekiti PDP should reconcile’

    ‘Ekiti PDP should reconcile’

Senate Minority Whip Biodun Olujimi represents Ekiti South District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). She spoke with reporters in Omuo-Ekiti on her governorship ambition and other issues. ODUNAYO OGUNMOLA was there.

Is your ambition to govern Ekiti State still intact or you are going back to the Senate?

Of course, my ambition is very much on track. My ambition to govern the state stems from the fact that I have been in the system, I have worked with two governors, I have been to the House of Representatives and the Senate. I have been a member of the apex body of a political party, that is the National Executive Committee of a party. So, I know what it is to run government, I know what it is to be in executive office and I know what it is to take care of my people and above all, I love Ekiti people.

In view of the situation in your party where the governor has picked his deputy as sole candidate, how do you intend to realise your ambition?

That is a huge joke because it has never happened before in the state for a governor to just wake up one morning and picked his deputy as preferred sole candidate. The choice of the successor to Fayose is the business of the party. It is not even the business of the party in the state. It is the business of the party at the national level. What happened, to me, is just wishful thinking. The party had already said that there would be a free and fair primary and that is where I stand.

The five of us that are aspirants have come together to say that there must be a free and fair primary. If the primary is fair, only the best will win not the one that has been anointed.

Going by INEC timetable for Ekiti State governorship election, the primary is between March and April. How prepared are you to face the incumbent governor?

Don’t forget that we have been in this game for some time now. We know the players and we know the game. We know what they are capable of doing and we can also read their game plan. We are prepared, we are ready. We are going to look for delegates. It is a business that we have been in for a long time. Even when I was not contesting, we looked for delegates for people. I have even scouted for delegates for President before. So, it is a business that we know how to handle.

What is most important is the sincerity of our party, the umpire. It is the umpire that determines what happens in the final analysis and I believe that we have an umpire that wants to showcase his skill, that we want to show the world how to conduct a primary. And I believe that the best person will win.

Are you open to reconciliation, negotiation or compromise regarding the governorship election?

There will be no compromise regarding my ambition. On reconciliation, I will say yes. People are aggrieved right now. People think that they are disenfranchised. People are unhappy, they don’t know what to do, they felt that they should jump ship. But no, the only vehicle that can still drive us back to Government House is the PDP. That is why people are quiet, waiting and hoping that something will happen very soon. We hope that something good will happen very soon.

The Southwest members of your party felt shortchanged in the last elective national convention. Is the party doing enough to reconcile with them?

Well, I am one of those who believe that after such event, there must be reconciliation. People must feel and have a sense of belonging. People must feel and know that someone cares. They must know that it is not winner takes all. I thank God that the people at the helm of affairs right now, the day after the convention, they took off, and the national chairman started visiting those that contested with him and I believe that, this is the way to go. We are bonded and we are together. We must reconcile for the party to stay together.

What they have started should be allowed to dovetail to the states where there are unprecedented crises, to bring back our people who are sitting on the fence. That is why I kept saying that in Ekiti, 16 – 0 was because we were together. 16 – 0 was because I will hold my unit and everyone else will hold theirs and win it 16 – 0 was because we had a goal and were driven by that goal and determination. There cannot be 16-0  when all of us are scattered, that will be wishful thinking. So, I believe that the right thing must be done. We must allow equity and fairness. That is the only way to go. I appeal to the national leadership to allow reconciliation to continue at all level.

APC has been in the saddle for over two years. There is hardship occasion by fuel scarcity, killings by herdsmen and epileptic power supply. What is your take on this?

APC is a political association, it is not a political party.

Political parties are where the government pursue the party programme for the growth of nation. But in an association, people work at cross purpose without a common agenda. In the last 18 years of this democracy, I have not seen a government that is poorly manage like this APC government. They rode to power on the pretext of populist ideology. They did have a blueprint on how to govern the country. They don’t know what to do up till now. We are just drifting everybody is just doing what he like and so, we went into a recession. They say we are technically out of it, but I don’t know what they mean because people are still in recession. No jobs anywhere, prices of goods have skyrocketed. The roads are bad. Electricity is zero. A man who cannot put food on his table who cannot send his children to school is in recession. People that are begging are too many, that is not the Nigeria we knew. The Nigeria we knew is the one everybody will eat and drink and some would even travel at Christmas. But right now is no longer so. We handed over a good government to APC. Forget all the lies and half truth. The buck passing and the razzmatazz. People have now seen the difference. I am not one to speak evil about a government. This one has failed all of us. So people must follow the PDP. The party knows how to govern and have people at heart. Yes, I admit we made mistake. But we know how to regulate ourselves and deliver good governance to the people.
