    ‘We’re committed to efficient electronic payment services’

    Etranzact International Plc has said it is committed to efficient electronic and mobile payment.

    Company chair, Wole Abegunde, spoke at the 20th Annual General Meeting of eTranzact International  yesterday in Lagos.

    He said: “We are committed to be a regional leader in the medium term and in the long term, a global leader in electronic and mobile payment.

    “We will continue to deliver secure, cost-effective and innovative electronic and mobile payment services compliant with globally recognised standards.”

    Presenting the financial performance to shareholders, he said: “The company reported a profit before tax of N2.201 billion, which is a record performance in its history. The performance for 2023 is further highlighted by gross revenue of N33.91 billion, also the highest so far for the company.

    “The commitment of management towards improvement of the financial performance is commendable. The company will continue to improve on the performance, create more value, be a market/industry leader, and maximise shareholders wealth.”

    Chief Executive Officer, Niyi Toluwalope, noted 2023 was a significant in the history of eTranzact International. On payment transaction performance, he said “eTranzact maintained an upward trajectory in 2023.
