    Epe LG chair donates generators, printers to boost APC e-registration

    The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has donated generators and printers to all eight (8) wards within the council to ensure a hitch-free ongoing e-registration of All Progressives Congress (APC) members across the local government council area.

    She said that the intervention was aimed at addressing power challenges, improving efficiency, and ensuring timely documentation during the ongoing exercise, thereby encouraging wider participation at the grassroots.

    “In fact, I did this because of the epileptic supply to the entire council, to make it easier for them in the production of identity cards for our members in the ongoing e-registration exercise, and also to complement the great jobs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is recording both at the federal, state and local government levels, and I believe he will do even more when reelected in 2027.

    “Indeed, the secret of continuity is to win elections, and to win elections, the APC must record massive votes. This can only be achieved when members of the party are registered as bona fide, and the means of voting is to be a member of the APC through the ongoing e-registration exercise,” Animashaun said.

    She reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening party structures and promoting inclusive political participation, noting that adequate logistics are essential for a credible and effective registration process.

    The Chairman of Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has urged the newly sworn in councillors to approach their roles with dedication, commitment, transparency, and accountability.

    Speaking during their swearing in, Princess Animashaun implored the councillors to see their positions as a call to service, not an opportunity, as the electorates expecting them to perform their duties to the best of their knowledge.

    The council boss called for deepened collaboration, synergy, and strategic partnerships that would accelerate the actualisation of her administration’s vision for Epe local government area of the Lagos state.

    “I want to remind you all to bear in mind that upholding the rule of law is key to democracy, and work assiduously with an unwavering commitment to building a more virile local government devoid of acrimony or rancour towards building a better future for all citizens of the council area.” Princess Animashaun said.

    She stated that “You are now an integral part of this administration, and the people of Epe expect nothing less than your best efforts to ensure progress in all sectors.

    “Together, we must prioritise initiatives that will improve the standard of living for our people and justify the confidence reposed in you.

    “You all know what our leader and mentor, His Excellency Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, embodies as a visionary leader with unrelenting dedication and commitment to the well-being of the masses.

    “To whom much is given, more is expected; therefore, whatever you do, ensure it is in the best interest of our people and promotion of good governance, particularly at the grassroots, and you can be assured of my continued support at all times.”

    She thanked Governor Babajide  Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering support, commitment and vision to make the state stand head high amongst the comity of nations to compete favourably with its peers all over the world.

    Schools get First Aid boxes in Epe

    The Chairman of the Epe Local Government Area, Lagos State, Surah Animashaun, has begun the distribution of 200 first aid boxes to public primary schools in the LGA.

    The chairman, who inaugurated the distribution on Thursday in Epe, said the development was for the public school students to have easy access to first aid medical treatment, when there is an injury, before being taken to the hospital for proper treatment.

    “Students are prone to physical contact during play, as part of their extracurricular activities.

    “Therefore, first aid is essential for palliative treatment before being taken to the hospital for proper medical attention,” she said.

    The chairman emphasised the importance of safety and health in learning environments, stating that the council was committed to prioritising the welfare of school children.

    She said proactive health measures such as this would help to reduce complications from minor injuries.

    According to her, the first aid boxes are well-equipped with essential medical supplies such as antiseptics, spirit, bandages, cotton wool, gloves, and other items necessary for administering immediate care.

    “Health officers from the local government were also deployed to educate school staff on how to properly use the materials, ” she said.

    Animashahun stated that the initiative was part of a broader health and safety campaign being carried out in collaboration with the local education authority.

    She called on the schools’ management and teachers to handle the items with care and ensure that the contents are replenished when necessary.

    Speaking on the initiative, the Head Teacher of RCM Primary School, Mr Ayomide Ayeola, expressed gratitude to the local government council for the thoughtful gesture.

    He described the development as timely and beneficial, especially as schools resume full academic activities.

    Fasting: Monarch-elect tasks Muslims, Christians on support for less privileged

    The Alaketu-elect of Ketu-Epe in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora has urged Muslims and Christians to remember the less privileged during the Ramadan and Lent fasting periods.

    The monarch-elect gave the admonition in a statement issued on Friday to felicitate with the adherents of both religions.

    He said: ”As the Muslim faithful all over the globe look out for the sighting of the moon today, begin Ramadan fasting tomorrow, Saturday, and the Christian Lent bills for Wednesday,

    Adefowora urged well-meaning Nigerians to always extend hands of charity to the less privileged in their communities before, during, and after the Muslim fasting and the Christian Lent.

    He reiterated that his final ascension to the throne will bring a new dawn to the Ketu-Epe land, the people.
