Mayor of Urhoboland and former agitator in Niger Delta, Eshanakpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro, has hailed new directors-general of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Department of State Services (DSS), Mohammed Mohammed and Oluwatosin Ajayi.
His message was contained in a statement in Ughelli, Delta State.
Akpodoro said the choice of a seasoned diplomat in Mohammed and Ajayi, a thoroughbred security expert, is a new vista in both agencies.
He gave kudos to President Bola Tinubu for the choice, particularly Ajayi, a consummate professional.
Akpodoro noted he enccountered Ajayi while serving in one of the Southsouth states as director where he discharged his duty with clinical efficiency.

He said the DSS chief has pulled through sensitive operations, and is highly suitable to head the agency at this point of “our nationhood.”
“The appointment of Ajayi shows the President knows his onions. Nigerians know the President as a man with a knack for the best. While I also congratulate Yusuf Bichi for a successful service, I call on Ajayi to discharge his duties with fear of God as a man with good conscience.” he said.
Akpodoro called on Niger Delta to support the security chiefs, and hoped with this appointment, national security would be given a boost.
He called for collaboration among security agencies, saying strong bonding is germane to their success in the war against violent crimes.
