    Eti-Osa East raises the bar with multiple projects

    The Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), John Campos Ogundare, has reaffirmed the council’s commitment to inclusive growth through the inauguration of several strategic projects.

    The projects, he said, were aimed at driving sustainable development across the council.

    The projects, which include modern markets, rehabilitated roads, mini-stadiums, and key infrastructure upgrades, were unveiled during a well-attended ceremony that brought together stakeholders, residents, and dignitaries.

    The event was attended by Senator Wasiu Sanni-Eshilokun; Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Noheem Adams; Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Project Monitoring, Babajide Obanikoro; Elegushi of Ikateland Oba Saheed Elegushi;  Oba Lawal Olumegbon of Olumegbon Ajaiye; Baale of Ajah, Chief Ismail Adamson and Otunba Of Sangotedo Otunba Tunde Johnson.

    They all commended the council chairman for delivering dividends of democracy to the residents.

    Ogundare described the projects as “physical manifestations of purposeful leadership, strategic collaboration, and a shared desire for progress.”

    He emphasized that the developments go beyond physical structures, noting their long-term socio-economic impact.

    “This is not just about brick and mortar. These projects will empower our youths, boost commercial activity, and unlock the economic potential of our communities,” he said.

    He acknowledged that the projects would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the people and the contributions of both the private and public sectors.

    He also expressed gratitude to royal fathers, legislative representatives, community stakeholders, and private partners, emphasizing that their collaboration remains vital to the area’s future.

    According to Ogundare, the projects are guided by the council’s Security, Environment, and Transport Management (SET) Agenda.

    He said the projects aligned with this vision to lay a stronger foundation for future generations.

    How APC won in Eti-Osa East, by council boss

    The Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), John Campos Ogundare, has described the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council as the outcome of a collective effort.

    Ogundare, who voted at the Olomu Polling Unit, did not only delivered his ward to the party’s flagbearers, he also ensured that APC won in other areas.

    APC candidate, Shamsideen Agunbiade, polled 21,204 to defeat the People’s Democratic Party candidate – 683 and Labour Party – 419.

    According to him, galvanising the populace to ensure victory for the party is part of his unwavering loyalty to the ideals of party supremacy and his deep belief in the collective strength of leadership.

    “We put personal differences aside and championing the party’s choice. As the leader of the council, we ensured party members are united in going for the poll irrespective of our grievances. What matters most is victory for our party,” he said.

    Ogundare called on party members and supporters to support the elected Chairman and councillors for further development of the council.
