ETI-OSA Local Government Area of Lagos State has proposed a N6.81 billion budget for 2026, with primary healthcare, education, and youth development receiving huge allocations.
At the presentation of the proposed budget to the council’s Legislative Council on Monday, the Chairman of the council area, Alimot Adeola Adetoro, said her administration was prioritising improved access to quality healthcare services, with special focus on maternal and child care at the grassroots.
She explained that the budget provides for upgrades of primary healthcare centres, improved service delivery, and programmes aimed at reducing preventable maternal and infant health challenges within the local government.

She described the budget as a roadmap for inclusive growth, stressing that investment in human capital remains critical to the long-term social and economic advancement of Eti-Osa.
According to Adetoro, in the education sector, the budget outlines increased investment in learning infrastructure, youth skills acquisition, and vocational training to equip young people with employable skills and reduce unemployment.
Adetoro said these interventions align with the administration’s HEYIGA Agenda, which places Health, Education, Youth and Women Empowerment at the centre of local development.
