Marrying an unbeliever is self-destruction – Eucharia Anunobi

Veteran actress and preacher Eucharia Anunobi has cautioned Christians against marrying unbelievers, emphasising that spirituality is the foundation of marriage.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Anunobi questioned why believers would choose to partner with someone who doesn’t share their faith, likening it to “buying a weapon to destroy yourself.”

She warned that relationships with unbelievers can lead to misery, stating, “Those kisses, those hugs, those caresses with an unbeliever… There will be a Waterloo.”

Anunobi stressed that carnality can never replace spirituality and that an unbelieving partner could eventually become a source of trouble for a believer.

She urged Christians to prioritise their faith and seek partners who share their spiritual values, rather than being swayed by physical attraction or fleeting emotions.

She said, “How can you, as a woman or a man of God, a believer, operating a ministry, consider marrying an unbeliever. Someone is spiritually impotent, spiritually imbecile?

You have brought the weapon to destroy yourself, being a believer marrying an unbeliever.

“Those kisses, those hugs, those caresses with an unbeliever. There will be a Waterloo. Some of you are already engaging in activities in the other room and are a Waterloo. Some of you are already engaging in activities in the other room, and yet you are in ministry.

“You think being with an unbeliever will make your marriage sweet? You will be most miserable.”

Marriage proposal doesn’t equate pre-marital s3x, Eucharia Anuobi advises women

Actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has warned women about the dangers of engaging in premarital s3x based solely on promises of marriage.

Anunobi, via an Instagram video, condemned the practice of women becoming intimate with men who offer verbal assurances like “I’ll marry you,” clarifying that such proposals or engagements do not constitute a legitimate marital bond.

She stressed that women should remain celibate until all traditional and legal marriage ceremonies are fully completed, asserting that without these, they lack any “barcode, zip code, or visa” to justify s3xual involvement.

She called on Christians, particularly women, to protect their spiritual integrity and resist being swayed by temporary desires or empty promises, cautioning against allowing ‘sweet talks’ make them lose focus.

“Ah ah ah! Just because Odogwu Pararara said ‘Achalugo I’ll marry you,’ a whole daughter of Zion has off pant and bra, ready to be manhandled sweetly?

“Until the wedding rights are completed, you have no rights, no barcode, no zip code, no visa to travel to the land of s3xual pleasure!

“Maintain your composure of Celibacy. Do not allow satan steal your Steeze in God. Do not be caught ungodly. Have you forgotten whose you are. YOU ARE OF THE TRIBE OF JESUS,” she wrote.

Veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi has taken a swipe at the decline in effective communication in today’s digital era.

In a post shared on Instagram, Anunobi lamented how many people miss out on valuable opportunities simply because they fail to communicate clearly and directly.

She stressed the importance of stating one’s intentions upfront when sending messages to avoid being ignored or misunderstood.

The actress also questioned the rationale behind sending vague greetings such as “hi” or “hello beautiful” without any meaningful follow-up, calling for more purposeful interactions.

“I don’t get it. Why would you enter someone’s DM and just say hi? For crying out loud, do you think everyone has time to waste?” she stated.

She also emphasised that in today’s fast-paced world, ambiguity is not just annoying, it’s a waste of time.

She urged social media users to be intentional with their communication and not treat direct messaging like a casual street chat.

Actress Eucharia Anunobi has disclosed how she is coping with the loss of her only child, Raymond, who passed away in 2017 due to complications from sickle cell disease.

In an interview on the WithChude podcast, Anunobi attributed her ability to cope with the devastating loss to her Christian faith, which she said has been a constant source of comfort and strength.

The actress, who got separated from Raymond’s father, Charles Ekwu, in 2006, described how her faith has helped her understand that the loss of a loved one is not the end.

Anunobi also expressed gratitude for the memories she shared with her son and the peace that God has given her.

She said: “That is one of the things that being born again, being a true Christian, bequeaths you with. As you grow in the word, when you read the words of God in the Holy Bible continuously, not just reading it but meditatively reading it, practicing it.

“Obeying the instructions therein as they are being said to you and each time you ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to know greater things, you will get to know greater things, and the wisdom of God gets you to know the vanity of life.

“Those things you see everywhere, that people are clamoring for are only temporal, there is no need killing yourself. So you come to understand that if you lose a loved one, yes, you love them, but because you have grown in the word of God that tells you that yes, the body is gone but the spirit is not gone.

“The spirit and soul has gone to the one that gave it and you would still have a connection with that spirit someday where it came from. When you grow in the word of God, it helps you and brings to you more accurately and powerfully the words of God that says ‘my peace I give to you’.

“So when you have bereavement or things that bring undue sorrow, you do not sorrow because you know that they were just given to you for a short period of time and that someday you also will leave this atmosphere. That is what the wisdom of God teaches you.

“The comfort I have not to mourn unnecessarily or overtly over the loss of my only child as a single parent is that I know he is not gone. Yes, I know he is gone physically. I miss him, but I know the beautiful treasures of memories I have in my heart and I know because the word of God says I will see him again.”

“And for you men, you have gone to mix and match, getting all pumped up for the Olympic marathon, to desecrate the daughters of Zion because it is Valentine. If you want s3x, go and get married. EUCHARIA ANUNOBI: Seven months after son’s passing

Will she ever forget the only ‘man’ that stood with her? Yes, their relationship as mother and child lasted 15 years, but it held much memory of trials, as her husband, Charles Ekwu, long abandoned them both.

The actress lost her son, Raymond, to sickle cell anemia on August 22, 2017 at the age of 15.

The pain of separation and struggle to keep her son alive must have brought her closer to God, to become an evangelist.

He would have been 16 this month. And she must immortalize him by way of continuing his passion. Thus, on February 16, 2018, the actress visited the motherless babies’ home, as was the tradition with mother and child.

She said: “I am going to do it the way my son and I had always done it and I would give out some of his personal effects. Normally, when someone dies, you do not touch their things for about a year. For instance, if a man’s wife dies he is not expected to touch her things or dispose of them till after a year.”

“Initially, I decided to do the same thing but I later changed my mind and that is why I donated some of his things to a government-owned motherless babies’ home and also to the boys at the Special Correctional Centre for the Boys. I am doing this because I am a humanitarian and to let the motherless babies know that we love them.”

Last Thursday, she uploaded photos from the charity event, with a ‘thank you’ caption.

“This is thanking all the great people who came out to join me celebrate my late son, Raymond Ekwu’s post houmous 16th birthday at one of the orphanages in Lagos last Friday, the 16th February.”

Cooking has lost its joy, because you’re not there to ask all those questions…

“No more will I hear you say: mummy my sleep mode is not activated yet, when I say: Chimnonso go to sleep right now! No one to ask me: mummy how come I am getting pimples on my face and you don’t have? And I have to answer: Joshua, you’re in your puberty years and becoming a young man?
