He acknowledged worsening hunger in the country, stating widows are especially hard hit and should be remembered this period and beyond.

According to the real estate guru, over 1000 widows will benefit from the charitable initiative slated to become an annual tradition.

“To ensure seamless execution and transparency, we have teamed up with trusted NGOs and respected religious leaders to facilitate donation to the right beneficiaries based on identified criteria.

“We deliberately target widows for this exercise as we acknowledge the distinct hardship and vulnerabilities they encounter following the loss of their spouse. This effort is to offer respite and alleviate their challenges in this critical period,” he said.

He expressed fulfillment in being able to give back to the society and contribute to the wellbeing of others, believing that the gesture will positively touch beneficiaries.

He also encouraged the government to pay special attention to this group, advising on specific policies and programmes that address their needs, including providing social support services, financial assistance and opportunities for education and employment.

“In doing this, the government can play a pivotal role in empowering and elevating their quality of life,” he asserted.

He counselled widows to build a resilient spirit, reminding them that  they are not alone in their struggles.
