Erstwhile Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Dr Ezekiel Adeniji has been inaugurated as the National President of Ila-Orangun Parapo.
Adeniji succeeded High Chief Paul Ogunrinade, the Ejema of Ila, who, alongside the outgoing executive, played a crucial role in advancing the association’s goals.
He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity, development, and progress in Ila-Orangun, pledging to build on the foundation laid by past leaders.
Adeniji paid tribute to Barr. Mustapha Adebayo Balogun, former Inspector General of Police, for his pivotal role in establishing the Nigeria Police College in Ila-Orangun.

He honoured several distinguished Ila sons and daughters who had contributed immensely to the town’s development.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, and His Imperial Majesty, Oba Wahab Kayode Oyedotun (Bibiire I, Orangun of Ila). Also in attendance were Senator Biyi Fadeyi, Hon. Clement Akanni, Hon. Dhikrullah Bajepade, and Hon. (Mrs.) Ayobami Awolowo, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, among others.
A key highlight of the event was the commissioning of the Nigeria Police Area Command Office Building. The project was a collaborative effort of the previous Executive Committee, the Senator representing the district, the House of Representatives member, and the Assembly lawmaker.
