    Firm celebrates Air Operating Licence, unveils magazine

    Falcon Aerospace Limited, through its flagship, VivaJets, has celebrated the award of its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The occasion saw the unveiling of ABOVE, its international travel and lifestyle magazine, with the exhibition of its cabin crew uniforms.

    Falcon Aerospace has grown from a visionary start-up into a licensed aviation firm with a growing fleet, expanding global routes, international collaborations, and innovations. The company boasts digital aviation platforms, FlyPJX and CharterXE, and tech and business incubation arms, Instig Labs and The Adrenalina.

    Chief Executive Officer, Chukwuerika Achum said: “Our story illustrates the transformative power of business aviation in improving connectivity and innovation in Africa. We believe Africa’s prosperity lies in connectivity within and with the continent,’.

    He emphasised Falconaero’s vision to make private aviation more accessible and efficient, highlighting investments in technology and strategic participation at forums as the World Economic Forum and Africa CEO Forum.

    Captain Chris Najomo, acting director general of NCAA, commended Falcon’s journey during his remarks. “Today, we celebrate history. Falconaero’s journey is proof that with resilience, vision, and commitment, success is inevitable.

    ‘‘From NCAA, we are proud to have supported them. The AOC is the beginning — we look forward to greater things,” he said.

    The evening also witnessed unveiling of ABOVE magazine, an international publication  providing experiences of the global traveller. Filled with inspiring travel stories, cultural insight, and global perspectives, the magazine is designed for the modern explorer.

    VivaJets showcased its new cabin crew outfits. Created in collaboration with designer, Loza Maleombho, the outfits reflect a blend of African cultural heritage, luxury, and style. The designs, which had appeared in the Lagos Fashion Week runway, captivated the audience with their fusion of elegance and cultural pride.

    Chief Operating Officer, Tejumade Salami, said: “Tonight is a celebration of what is possible when passion meets purpose. Our journey has been built on the shoulders of an fine team, and as we look to the future, we are committed to delivering excellence, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of private aviation in Africa,” she said.

    “Finally, with the award of its AOC and the unveiling of ABOVE magazine, Falcon Aerospace continues to prove its position as a forward-thinking leader in Africa’s private aviation sector, bringing in new levels of connectivity, innovation, and cultural pride,” she added.

    Aviation firm to upscale operations with new director

    Falcon Aerospace Limited has appointed Jean-Claude Kouyo as its director of Growth for Europe, Middle East and African (EMEA) regions.

     An Ivorian based in France, Kouyo had his education in France and United States, and speaks English and French.

      The flight safety and flight support specialist will be driving business for Falcon Aero in the EMEA regions.

    Falcon Aero is an aviation firm offering aircraft charter and maintenance, acquisition, and fractional ownership. The company operates through its subsidiaries; Vivajets, digital aircraft charter platform, Charterxe, and charter per seat booking platform, FlyPJX.

     “We are glad to have JC (Jean-Claude) as we step up our global operations,” Erika Achum, chief executive officer, said.

    “As a brilliant aviation expert and business strategist, his experience and insight will be valuable for our growth.”

     Achum noted Kouyo’s appointment is in-line with the commitment to  business sustainability, diversity, and corporate governance.

    Tejumade Salami, chief operating officer, described the appointment as ‘another step in Falcon Aero’s quest to global dominance.’

     “We are an African firm proud of our heritage and our efforts at facilitating connectivity in Africa. This is a principle we take to the global stage as we upscale operations in Europe and the Middle East.”

    Kouye has over 20  years’ experience in flight training, sales, strategy and marketing.

    He said: “It is a privilege to join Falcon. I look forward to bringing my contribution and experience to the firm.”
