    ‘Lagos 2025 budget is achievable’

    The Director-General of Lagos State Procurement Agency, Mr. Fatai Onafowote, yesterday assured residents, business communities and investors that the proposed budget of over N3trillion by the Lagos State Government for year 2025 is achievable through seamless procurement and implementation.

    He said there was need to ensure procurement officers were well groomed, versatile and grounded in procurement rules and procedures, in tandem with the visions of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,

    towards “making the state a 21st century economy”, as contained in the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus  Agenda.

    Onafowote enjoined internal and external stakeholders of the agency to advance good governance in their offices, to engender the confidence of local and foreign investors in the state.

    He spoke at the 2025 Annual Procurement Clinic for procurement officers.

    Describing the procurement planning clinic as the anchor on which the implementation of the approved budget rests, the D-G said: “The clinic was organised for the scrutiny and review of the Procurement Plans of MDAs and LGAs/LCDAs of the state to ensure that the plans align with the objectives of government as contained in the approved budget.’’
