  • Kidnappers of Fegor Ogude’s wife demand ransom

    Fegor Ogude will miss the start of Amkar Perm’s training camp scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from January 11  to  31 as a result of the abduction of his wife in Delta State, Nigeria.

    The General-Director of Amkar Perm, Igor Rezvuhin, has revealed that the hoodlums have asked the Nigeria international midfielder for a ransom but refused to disclose the amount.

    “He will definitely miss the beginning of the camp. What will happen next, we’ll see, ” said Igor Rezvuhin to tass.ru.

    “( Criminals ) asked for ransom but I’m not prepared to discuss exactly how much. We will do everything we can to help the  player get out of the situation. ”

    The 28 – year – old Ogude transferred to Amkar Perm in January 2014 after spending three and a half years with Vålerenga in Norway.

    Ogude sent off in Russia

    Super Eagles midfielder,  Fegor Ogude, was sent off while in action for Amkar Perm in a Russian league game on Monday, africanFootball.com reports.

    The former Warri Wolves midfielder received a straight red in the 64th minute when he stamped the opponent on the thigh in a game Amkar perm lost at Kuban Krasnoda.

    Ogude has featured in all the four games played by Amkar this season.

    He played for Norwegian club Valarenga for four seasons before switching to the Russian outfit.

    Liberia international Sekou Oliseh was in action for the entire duration for Kuban Krasnoda.

    Nigeria international Fegor Ogude is excited with his new challenge at Russian club, Amkar Perm.

    The midfielder sealed a year and half deal with the Russia Premier league side after he completed a medical on Monday evening.

    The former Valerenga of Norway player told MTNFootball.com that he is thrilled with the deal and looks forward to achieving greatness with the team.

    “I have signed a deal with Amkar. I am happy with this and I will do my best for the team. I can’t wait to get down to business here. I have been assigned jersey number 87,” Ogude told MTNFootball.com

    “I will be travelling with my team to Turkey on Tuesday for Preparations for the resumption of the league.”

    It is believed this switch will now revive his flagging hopes of getting on the flight to Brazil 2014 with African champions Nigeria after he has been overlooked since the 2013 AFCON.

    Amkar Perm are seventh on the Russia league table with 30 points from 19 matches.
