I’m tired of reading your numerous dumb advice… I’ll do what I did again and again if your favourite goes the same route, I wonder why you all think it’s okay for her to publicly call out a colleague ( when she could have easily put a call through) and subjected him to PUBLIC criticism but it’s not okay for his wife to publicly stand up for him. Isn’t that funny? Just stop sending those DMs. I’m tired of blocking.”

The Association of Yoruba African Men Entertainment Kings, popularly known as AFRIMEK, has issued a public statement following the controversy surrounding Femi Adebayo.

In the statement released by the association’s public relations officer, Adeniyi Johnson, they defended Femi Adebayo, who holds the position of Mayor within the organisation.

The association highlighted Adebayo’s integrity, dignity, and adherence to positive values and social norms.

According to AFRIMEK, Femi Adebayo was merely tasked with announcing the winner for Best Dressed at the event and was not involved in the selection process.

They emphasised that the entertainment industry thrives on creativity and strategic business approaches, which often generate expected attention.

AFRIMEK also pointed out that Adebayo’s religious convictions, particularly during the holy month, would have precluded his involvement in any controversial activities.

The statement reads: “To the general public, in retrospect to the recent buzz and news going on online about the Amiable MAYOR of our honourable club AFRICAN MEN ENTERTAINMENT KINGS CLUB (AFRIMEK), FEMI ADEBAYO SALAMI!! We would like to sensitize the entire public that our honourable Mayor is a man of integrity, class, and honour who stands and upholds all positive values and etiquette of normal human beings.

“Sequel to the announcement he made at the movie premiere, he was basically called upon to announce the winner for best dressed at the event. Note that he wasn’t part of the selection team, as a form of honour he was called upon to announce without prior notice!!
