Tinubu: Fani-Kayode disowns Sowore in criminal defamation case

    • Says he never said President killed Funso Williams

Ambassador-Designate and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, yesterday distanced himself from a claim allegedly made by the presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 elections, Omoyele Sowore, that he (Fani-Kayode) once said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was responsible for the death of former PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Chief Funso Williams, in 2023.

Sowore is currently facing trial at the Federal High Court, Abuja for criminal defamation, having been dragged to court by the Directorate of State Services (DSS) for allegedly calling President Tinubu a criminal in posts he made on his X and Facebook accounts.

Media activist and ambassador-designate, Reno Omokri, had also recently distanced himself from claims made by Sowore and his lawyer in court that the former’s description of President Tinubu as a criminal was predicated on the fact that Omokri had previously made the same claim against the President.

In a statement titled ‘Sowore’s Obsession with President Tinubu, Reno Omokri and I’, which he issued yesterday, Chief Fani-Kayode said Sowore’s decision to drag his name into the case by digging up statements he (Fani-Kayode) made 11 years ago but has since retracted was a measure of desperation.

Fani-Kayode said: I was informed that Omoyele Sowore made references to things I allegedly said against President Bola Tinubu 11 years ago to somehow exonerate himself in the criminal case that he is facing for defamation.

“He claimed that I said that President Tinubu killed Chief Funso Williams in 2003. This is false. I never said that President Tinubu killed Funso Williams.

“What I said was “I am not Funso Williams: I cannot be killed like a chicken.”

“Those were my exact words: nothing more & nothing less.

“I said them 11 years ago, and I have long since retracted them and accepted the fact that they were not only inappropriate but that they might have also been misconstrued!

“It is a measure of how desperate Sowore is that he should be dragging up statements that I made 11 years ago about President Tinubu during the 2015 presidential election campaign, which I have long since retracted and withdrawn in an attempt to help fight his case in court.

“History records that I was in the opposition PDP at the time (2015) and was the Director of Media and Publicity in President Jonathan’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, and a lot of ugly things were said by both sides against one another’s candidates and party leaders during the heat of battle.

“That is the nature of Presidential campaigns  everywhere in the world.

“For the record, I left the PDP six years ago and joined the APC in 2021.

“Since that time, I have supported the party selflessly and perhaps more relevantly I played a key role as Director of New Media & Special Operations in President Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Organisation in 2023.

“Throughout that campaign, the record shows that morning, day and night, both myself & the Directorate of 250 people that I headed spoke and fought for the President and contributed to his victory.

“Outside of that, for the last two years since he was sworn in as President, I have been unwavering in my support for him and have sought to defend him and his government vigorously.

“If I had any misgivings about him, I doubt I would have done all that.

“For Sowore to try to rope me or @renoomokri into his matter to justify his despicable behaviour is absurd.

“Reno may have opposed the election of President Tinubu in 2023, but after the President emerged victorious, he has not only retracted all he said about him but he has also fought for him gallantly and defended his policies.

“That is what any decent and well brought up person would do when faced with the truth and after he sees the light.

“Instead of trying to get us involved in his mess, I would advise Sowore to do the honorable thing and retract his statements about the President or prepare for jail.”

“Whichever way, it makes no difference to me and I could not care less. Reno, myself and millions of others have taken a stance for Tinubu, and no matter how many times he brings up our names in court to justify his asinine comments, it will not help him.

“I advise him to face his case with decency and decorum and plug his mouth. That is the only way he will escape the net he has found himself in.

“Reno and I found the right path and walked it. We also had the decency to accept the fact that comments we made years ago against the President were not only inappropriate but also wrong. It takes courage to do that.

“I believe Sowore should cultivate that courage and accept that what he said about the President was also wrong and totally unacceptable.

“If he refuses to do so, he should be ready to prove his case in court or face the consequences of his words and actions.

“I conclude by mentioning the fact that it is a reflection of President Tinubu’s decency and humanity that he can welcome into his ranks those that once fought against him and opposed him.

“He has been magnanimous, and that is a mark of a leader.

“That is also why we stand with him and shall continue to do so regardless of the words of nauseating and inconsequential little distractions and obnoxious irritants like Omoyele Sowore.”

  • A morning of carnage

    A morning of carnage

Sixty years ago, in the early hours of the morning of January 15th 1966, a coup d’etat took place in Nigeria which resulted in the murder of a number of leading political figures and senior army officers.

This was the first coup in the history of our country and 98 per cent of the officers that planned and led it were from a particular ethnic nationality in the country.

According to Max Siollun, a notable and respected historian whose primary source of information was the Police report compiled by the Police’s Special Branch after the failure of the coup, during the course of the investigation and after the mutineers had been arrested and detained, names of the leaders of the mutiny were as follows:

    Major Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna,

    Major Chukwuemeka Kaduna Nzeogwu,

    Major Chris Anuforo,

    Major Tim Onwutuegwu,

    Major Chudi Sokei,

    Major Adewale Ademoyega,

    Major Don Okafor,

    Major John Obieno,

    Captain Ben Gbuli,

    Captain Emmanuel Nwobosi,

    Captain Chukwuka,

    and Lt. Oguchi.

It is important to point out that I saw the Special Branch report myself and I can confirm Siollun’s findings.

These were indeed the names of ALL the leaders of the January 15th 1966 mutiny and all other lists are FAKE.

The names of those that they murdered in cold blood or abducted were as follows.

Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the Prime Minister of Nigeria (murdered),

Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and the Premier of the Old Northern Region (murdered),

Sir Kashim Ibrahim, the Shettima of Borno and the Governor of the Old Northern Region (abducted),

Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, the Aare Ana Kakanfo of Yorubaland and the Premier of the Old Western Region (murdered),

Chief Remilekun Adetokunboh Fani-Kayode SAN, Q.C. CON, the Balogun of Ife, the Deputy Premier of the Old Western Region, the Regional Minister for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and my beloved father (abducted),

Chief Festus Samuel Okotie-Eboh, the Oguwa of the Itsekiris and the Minister of Finance of Nigeria (murdered),

Brigadier Samuel Adesujo Ademulegun, Commander of the 1st Brigade, Nigerian Army (murdered),

Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari, Commander of the 2nd Brigade, Nigerian Army (murdered),

    Colonel James Pam (murdered),

    Colonel Ralph Sodeinde (murdered),

    Colonel Arthur Unegbe (murdered),

    Colonel Kur Mohammed (murdered),

    Lt. Colonel Abogo Largema (murdered),

Alhaja Hafsatu Bello, the wife of the Sardauna of Sokoto (murdered),

Alhaji Zarumi, traditional bodyguard of the Sardauna of Sokoto (murdered),

Mrs. Lateefat Ademulegun, the wife of Brigadier Ademulegun who was 8 months pregnant at the time (murdered),

    Ahmed B. Musa (murdered),

    Ahmed Pategi (murdered),

    Sgt. Daramola Oyegoke (murdered),

    Police Constable Yohana Garkawa (murdered),

    Police Constable Musa Nimzo (murdered),

    Police Constable Akpan Anduka (murdered),

    Police Constable Hagai Lai (murdered),

and Police Constable Philip Lewande (murdered).

In order to reflect the callousness of the mutineers permit me to share under what circumstances some of their victims were murdered and abducted.

Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was abducted from his home, beaten, mocked, tortured, forced to drink alcohol, humiliated and murdered after which his body was dumped in a bush along the Lagos-Abeokuta road.

Sir Ahmadu Bello was killed in the sanctity of his own home with his wife Hafsatu and his loyal security assistant Zurumi.

Zurumi drew his sword to defend his principal whilst Hafsatu threw her body over her dear husband in an attempt to protect him from the bullets.

Chief S. L. Akintola was gunned down as he stepped out of his house in the presence of his family and Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh was beaten, brutalised, abducted from his home, maimed and murdered and his body was dumped in a bush.

Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari had held a cocktail party in his home  the evening before which was attended by some of the young officers that went back to his house early the following morning and murdered him.

Brigadier Samuel Ademulegun was shot to death at home, in his bedroom and in his matrimonial bed along with his eight-month pregnant wife Lateefat.

Colonel Shodeinde was murdered in Ikoyi hotel whilst Col. Pam was abducted from his home and murdered in a bush.

Most of the individuals that were killed that morning were subjected to a degree of humiliation, shame and torture that was so horrendous that I am constrained to decline from sharing them in this contribution.

The mutineers came to our home as well which at that time was the official residence of the Deputy Premier of the Old Western Region and which remains there till today.

After storming our house and almost killing my brother, sister and me, they beat, brutalised and abducted my father Chief Remi Fani-Kayode.

What I witnessed that morning was traumatic and devastating and, of course, what the entire nation witnessed was horrific.

It was a morning of carnage, barbarity and terror.

Those events set in motion a cycle of carnage which changed our entire history and the consequences remain with us till this day.

It was a sad and terrible morning and one of blood and slaughter.

My recollection of the events in our home is as follows.

At around 2.00 a.m. my mother, Chief (Mrs.) Adia Aduni Fani-Kayode, came into the bedroom which I shared with my older brother, Rotimi and my younger sister Toyin. I was six years old at the time.

My other older brother, Akinola, whom we fondly reffered to as Akins, was not with us that night because he was a border at Kings College, Lagos whilst my other younger sister Tolulope Fani-Kayode was not born until one year later!

The lights had been cut off by the mutineers so we were in complete darkness and all we could see and hear were the headlights from three or four large and heavy trucks with big loud engines.

The official residence of the Deputy Premier had a very long drive so it took the vehicles a while to reach us.

We saw four sets of headlights and heard the engines of four lorries drive up the drive-way.

The occupants of the lorries, who were uniformed men who carried torches, positioned themselves and prepared to storm our home whilst calling my fathers name and ordering him to come out.

My father courageously went out to meet them after he had called us together, prayed for us and explained to us that since it was him they wanted he must go out there.

He explained that he would rather go out to meet them and, if necessary, meet his death than let them come into the house to shoot or harm us all.

The minute he stepped out they brutalised him. I witnessed this. They beat him, tied him up and threw him into one of the lorries.

The first thing they said to him as he stepped out was “where are your thugs now Fani-Power?”

My father’s response was typical of him, sharp and to the point. He said, “I don’t have thugs, only gentlemen.”

I think this annoyed them and made them brutalise him even more. They tied him up, threw him in the back of the lorry and then stormed the house.

When they got into the house they ransacked every nook and cranny, shooting into the ceiling and wardrobes.

They were very brutal and frightful and we were terrified.

My mother was screaming and crying from the balcony because all she could do was focus on her husband who was in the back of the truck downstairs. There is little doubt that she loved him more than life itself.

“Don’t kill him, don’t kill him!!” she kept screaming at them. I can still visualise this and hear her voice pleading, screaming and crying.

I didn’t know where my brother or sister were at this point because the house was in total chaos.

I was just six years old and I was standing there in the middle of the passage upstairs in the house by my parents bedroom, surrounded by uniformed men who were ransacking the whole place and terrorising my family.

Then out of the blue something extraordinary happened. All of a sudden one of the soldiers came up to me, put his hand on my head and said: “don’t worry, we won’t kill your father, stop crying.”

He said this to me three times. After he said it the third time I looked in his eyes and I stopped crying.

This was because he gave me hope and he spoke with kindness and compassion. At that point all the fear and trepidation left me.

With new-found confidence I went rushing to my mother who was still screaming on the balcony and told her to stop crying because the soldier had promised that they would not kill my father and that everything would be okay.

I held on to the words of that soldier and that morning, despite all that was going on around me, I never cried again.

Four years ago when he was still alive I made contact with and spoke to Captain Nwobosi, the mutineer who led the team to our house and that led the Ibadan operation that night about these events.

He confirmed my recollection of what happened in our house saying that he remembered listening to my mother screaming and watching me cry.

He claimed that he was the officer that had comforted me and assured me that my father would not be killed.

I have no way of confirming if it was really him but I have no reason to doubt his words.

He later asked me to write the foreword of his book which sadly he never launched or released because he passed away a few months later.

The mutineers took my father away and as the lorry drove off my mother kept on wailing and crying and so was everyone else in the house except for me.

From there they went to the home of Chief S.L. Akintola a great statesman and nationalist and a very dear uncle of mine.

My mother had phoned Akintola to inform him of what had happened in our home.

She was sceaming down the phone asking where her husband had been taken and by this time she was quite hysterical.

Chief Akintola tried to calm her down assuring her that all would be well.

When they got to Akintola’s house he already knew that they were coming and he was prepared for them.

Instead of coming out to meet them, he had stationed some of his policemen inside the house and they started shooting.

A gun battle ensued and consequently the mutineers were delayed by at least one hour.

According to the Special Branch reports and the official statements of the mutineers that survived that night and that were involved in the operation their plan had been to pick up my father and Chief Akintola from their homes in Ibadan, take them to Lagos, gather them together with the other political leaders that had been abducted and then execute them all together.

The difficulty they had was that Akintola resisted them and he and his policemen ended up wounding two of the soldiers that came to his home.

One of the soldiers, whose name was apparently James, had his fingers blown off and the other had his ear blown off.

After some time Akintola’s ammunition ran out and the shooting stopped.

His policemen stood down and they surrendered. He came out waving a white handkerchief and the minute he stepped out they just slaughtered him.

My father witnessed Akintola’s cold-blooded murder in utter shock, disbelief and horror because he was tied up in the back of the lorry from where he could see everything that transpired.

The soldiers were apparently enraged by the fact that two of their men had been wounded and that Akintola resisted and delayed them.

After they killed him they moved on to Lagos with my father.

When they got there they drove to the Officer’s Mess at Dodan Barracks in Ikoyi where they tied him up, sat him on the floor of a room, and placed him under close arrest by surrounding him with six very hostile and abusive soldiers.

Thankfully about two hours later he was rescued, after a dramatic gun battle, by loyalist troops led by one Lt. Tokida who stormed the room with his men and who was under the command of Captain Paul Tarfa (as he then was).

They had been ordered to free my father by Lt. Col. Yakubu Gowon who was still in control of the majority of troops in Dodan Barracks and who remained loyal to the Federal Government.

Bullets flew everywhere in the room during the gunfight that ensued whilst my father was tied up in the middle of the floor with no cover. All that yet not one bullet touched him!

This was clearly the Finger of God and once again divine providence as under normal circumstances few could have escaped or survived such an encounter without being killed either by direct fire or a stray bullet. For this I give God the glory.

Meanwhile three of the soldiers that had tied my father up and placed him under guard in that room were killed right before his eyes and two of Takoda’s  troops that stormed the room to save him lost their lives in the encounter.

At this point permit me to mention the fact that outside of my father, providence also smiled favourably upon and delivered Sir Kashim Ibrahim, the Shettima of Borno and the Governor of the Old Northern Region from death that morning.

He was abducted from his home in Kaduna by the mutineers but was later rescued by loyalist troops.

When the mutineers took my father away everyone in our home thought he had been killed.

The next morning a handful of policemen came and took us to the house of my mother’s first cousin, Justice Atanda Fatai-Williams, who was a judge of the Western Region at the time. He later became the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

From there we were taken to the home of Justice Adenekan Ademola, another High Court judge at the time, who was a very close friend of my father, who later became a Judge of the Court of Appeal and whose father, Sir Adetokunboh Ademola, was to later become the first Nigerian Chief Justice of the Federation.

At this point the whole country had been thrown into confusion and no one knew what was going on.

We heard lots of stories and did not know what to make of what anymore. There was chaos and confusion and the entire nation was gripped by fear.

Two days later my father finally called us on the telephone and he told us that he was okay.

When we heard his voice, I kept telling my mother “I told you, I told you.”

Justice Ademola and his dear wife who was my mother’s best friend, a Ghanaian lady by the name of Mrs. Frances Ademola (nee Quarshie-Idun) whom we fondly called Aunty Frances and whose father was Justice Samuel Okai Quarshie-Idun, the Chief Justice of the High Court of Western Nigeria and later President of the East African Court of Appeal, wept with joy.

My mother was also weeping as were my brother and sister and I just kept rejoicing because I knew that he would not be killed and I had told them all.

I believe that whoever that soldier was that promised me that my father would not be killed was used by God to convey a message to me that morning even in the midst of the mayhem and fear. I believe that God spoke through him that night.

Whoever he was the man spoke with confidence and authority and this constrains me to believe that he was a commissioned officer or a man in authority.

What happened on the night of January 15th 1966 was indefensible, unjustifiable, unacceptable, unnecessary, unprovoked and utterly barbaric.

It set off a cycle of events which had cataclysmic consequences for our country and which we are still reeling from today.

It arrested our development as a people and our political evolution as a country.

Had it not happened our history would have been very different. May we never see such a thing again.

Ooni hails Tinubu over Fani-Kayode’s appointment as envoy

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, as one of the nation’s new ambassadors.

The monarch’s commendation, contained in a speech delivered by his representative, Dr. Kemade Elugbaju, the Sooko Omoniyi and Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Ooni, followed the successful screening of Chief Fani-Kayode by the Senate on Thursday.

Elugbaju said: “The Ooni, the good people of Ifeland and the generality of Osun State indigenes are delighted by this honour done to one of our sons. His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja 11 and the Co-chairman of the National Traditional Council of Nigeria, is proud of you. The people of Ifeland and Osun State say ‘well done, and more grace’.

“I join all your well-wishers globally to congratulate you, FFK, on your successful screening by the Senate, acknowledging the honour bestowed upon you and the people of Ifeland.

“Kabiyesi, the Ooni, expresses pride and joy, while wishing you continued success and grace in your new role as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He noted that Chief Fani-Kayode has distinguished himself as a lover of his people, mainly from Osun State, “many of whom he appointed to effectively position all the parastatals under the Aviation Ministry while serving as the Minister of Aviation. Kabiyesi is confident that FFK will do much more.”

The Sooko described Chief Femi Fani-Kayode as “the Aare Ajagunla of Otun Ekiti, the Sadaukin Shinkafi, the Wakilin Doka Potiskum and the Otunba Joga Orile, a brilliant lawyer and former Federal Minister from the Gbúede lineage where his father, Chief Remi Fani-Kayode (the late firebrand Balogun of Ife, the former Deputy Premier of the Western Region and a former Regional Minister known as ‘Fani-Power’), his grandfather Justice Adedapo Kayode (a brilliant lawyer and reformer and the third Nigerian to be appointed as a Judge) and his great grandfather Rev. Emmanuel Kayode (the powerful clergyman who was amongst those that introduced Christianity to Ile-Ife and who, not only introduced so many progressive social reforms in the community, but also built and pastored the first church there) were all born into”.

“In conclusion, the Ooni is highly grateful to His Excellency, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, for this great honour done to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.

  • Femi Fani-Kayode’s ambassadorial nomination

    Femi Fani-Kayode’s ambassadorial nomination

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s announcement of ambassadorial nominations on 29 November, 2025 have produced a harvest of words. A calm look at the overabundance of comments and criticisms on the nominations yields a very clear understanding of what is meant by the ‘Dunning-Kruger Effect’.

According to psychologist Kendra Cherry, “the Dunning-Kruger effect is when people overestimate their skills because they don’t know enough to see their own lack of knowledge or ability.” Cherry illustrates the Dunning-Kruger Effect with the following commonplace dinner table situation at a holiday family gathering: “Throughout the meal, a member of your extended family spouts off on a topic at length, boldly proclaiming that they are correct and that everyone else’s opinion is stupid, uninformed, and just plain wrong. While it may be evident that this person has no idea what they are talking about, they prattle on, blithely oblivious to their ignorance.”

Just like this prattling family member and seemingly oblivious of the Yoruba proverbial counsel that many words do not fill a basket, all manner of commentators or critics have spoken extensively and passionately about the ambassadorial nominations. One of the non-career names on the list who has received particularly negative attention is Chief Femi Fani-Kayode who is an articulate lawyer, a former spokesperson to former President Olusegun Obasanjo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and is also a former Minister of Aviation in the same administration.

On 20 August, 2020, he called a Daily Trust journalist, Eyo Charles, “stupid” in Calabar, because the reporter asked him who was bankrolling his unofficial assessment tours of several southern state governments in Nigeria. Specifically, as the 26 August, 2020 issue of Daily Times Nigeria reported, Fani-Kayode responded: “What type of stupid question is that? Bankrolling who? Do you know who you are talking to? … What type of insulting question is that? Which bankroll? … Please don’t insult me here. … I could see from your face before you got here, how stupid you are … You have a small mind, very small mind. Don’t judge me by your own standards.”

Fani-Kayode was further reported to have said to his audience: “I’m sorry, that was deeply insulting. I don’t often get annoyed in press conferences. I’ve been doing this kind of thing for very many, many years. … Bankroll who? … Don’t ever try that with me again o. Don’t, please. …  I have a very short fuse.” The former presidential spokesperson was widely condemned for this outburst.

In response, in the same 26 August, 2020 issue of Daily Times Nigeria, Fani-Kayode was reported to have apologised as follows: “I met with my advisors till late last night and I wish to say the following. I hereby withdraw the word ‘stupid’ which I used in my encounter with a journalist in Calabar. I have many friends in the media whom I offended by losing my cool and using such words. I hereby express my regrets for doing so.”

Considering the tendency by some Nigerians to see anything they believe to be wrong as peculiarly Nigerian and incapable of happening in ‘saner climes’, Fani-Kayode must have been in comfortable company, as shown in a 28 November, 2025 PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) News YouTube video titled “WATCH: ‘Are you stupid?’ Trump rebuffs reporter’s question on Afghan resettlement vetting.”

In the video of a 27 November, 2025 interview, a CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System) reporter, Nancy Cordes, tried to deflect Trump’s castigation of the Joe Biden administration’s lack of vetting and checking of immigrants for allowing the entry into the United States of the Afghan man suspected of shooting two members of the United States National Guard on 26 November, 2025, in Washington, DC. Nancy Cordes noted: “Your DOJ IG [Department of Justice Inspector General] just reported this year that there was thorough vetting by DHS [Department of Homeland Security] and by the FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation] of these Afghans who were brought into the U.S. So, why do you blame the Biden administration?”

To this attempt to correct him, Trump interrupted her and said angrily: “Because they let them in. Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person? Because they came in on a plane along with thousands of other people that shouldn’t be here. And you’re just asking questions because you’re a stupid person.” The difference between the Fani-Kayode and Trump outbursts is that while the former Nigerian minister expressed regret and apologised for calling a journalist ‘stupid’, the American president showed no remorse.

Opponents of Fani-Kayode’s nomination as ambassador discountenance his apologies and his claim that “I don’t often get annoyed in press conferences. I’ve been doing this kind of thing for very many, many years.” They also disregard his politeness to the other members of his audience when he said, “I’m sorry, that was deeply insulting.” Moreover, they ignore his statement that he was withdrawing the offensive word to assuage the feelings of his media friends. In fact, his detractors argue unforgivingly that his reaction to the Daily Trust reporter was evidence of the fact that he did not possess the temperament suitable for the efficient performance of the duties of an ambassador.

Those who are against Fani-Kayode’s nomination as an ambassador also refer to previous statements in which he had castigated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with respect to the nomination of Professor Yemi Osinbajo as vice-presidential candidate to then-candidate Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In one of those statements during the PDP campaigns for the presidential elections, Fani-Kayode was shown on video to have said: “Senator Tinubu … is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons.”

However, as the Director, New Media of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Council, Femi Fani-Kayode said about candidate Tinubu in a 7 January, 2023 YouTube video of a TVC news interview titled, “Tinubu has distinctive policies for Nigerians”: “He’s the only man that’s truly sincere about moving this country forward. He wants power for the people. He wants electricity to be generated throughout the country. He has distinct policies that he wants to establish.”

Moreover, Fani-Kayode was accused of inconsistency for refuting the claim of exclusive ‘Christians genocide’ in Nigeria. To this, he said in a 4 October, 2025 article titled, “The fiction of Christian genocide and the conspiracy against Nigeria,” on his website femifanikayode.org: “A number of years ago I was amongst those that erroneously believed that only Christians were being targetted and subjected to genocide by the terrorists in Nigeria. This was the case until 2020 when I went on a tour of the North West and North East and discovered that as many, if not more, Muslims and Muslim communities had been targetted and subjected to mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide as the Christian ones in that area.”

Fani-Kayode continued: “What I witnessed in Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kaduna, Yobe, Borno, Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe and other parts of the majority Muslim core North shocked and shattered me and constrained me to accept the assertion that this was not an onslaught against Christians and Christian communities alone but rather an attack on Nigerians of every faith. … From the day I came to appreciate all this I took an oath before God and man that I would speak out against the atrocities being perpetuated against not just Christians but also Muslims. I also accepted the fact that to do anything other than that would not only be inherently intellectually dishonest but also would add to the problem and make it worse rather than solve it.”

Incidentally, his new views about the non-existence of exclusive ‘Christian genocide’ in Nigeria align with those of the Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia who is a Catholic priest, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese Most Reverend Father Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Chairman of the Borno State Branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and above all, the Federal Government of Nigeria. So, how does this agreement constitute a ground for disqualifying him as an ambassadorial nominee? Indeed, he has also written extensively and powerfully in support of Nigeria’s position on the Israeli carnage in Gaza.

Regarding what is perceived as the inconsistency of Fani-Kayode, people seem to be judging him by standards harsher than the ones with which they judge themselves. In fact, who has not had cause to change their own position before? One common principle is that the only permanent thing in life is change. A related Yoruba musical proverb says: “T’órin bá ti yí, k’ílù yípadà” (‘Once the song changes, the accompanying drumming changes.’) Moreover, what is called inconsistency in some social contexts is called flexibility in politics. And in politics, flexibility is not a vice.

In any case, who is to be preferred? One who had been a beneficiary of your generosity and large-heartedness in the past, had praised you to high heavens, and had told the whole world you were uniquely primed to be Nigeria’s president, but, when you strove for the high office, told the world how unsuitable you were for that office? Or one who worked for you to get to office, and then, due to impatience with the pace or nature of your reward system goes all out to bring you down? Or the person who first worked against you when you were striving to get to office, but who, in the midst of the struggle, had cause to change their views about you, and so supported your efforts during the campaigns and has gone the extra length to make you succeed in office?

Should President Tinubu have thrown the baby away with the bath water? And should those now charged with screening Chief Femi Fani-Kayode for suitability as Nigeria’s ambassador discountenance his current value? One Rasheed Oniyangi, on Facebook, on 30 November, 2025, recalled this President Tinubu quote: “I plan for betrayal, I plan for backstabbing, I also plan for reunion and forgiveness long before they happen. In life, I expect nothing, I expect anything, I expect everything.” Why then do the critics of Fani-Kayode’s nomination take it upon themselves to cry more than the bereaved?

In line with the principle that all actions shall be judged by intention, the opposition to Femi Fani-Kayode’s ambassadorial nomination raises a number of questions. Are the opponents of the nomination driven by goodwill to President Tinubu? Are they driven by ill-will and the desire to denude the president of the stout support this nominee has been giving him and the government? Are the opponents driven by the desire to penalise and discomfit the nominee for unabashedly supporting a president the detractors would rather see fail?

Consider this 1 December, 2025 quote from “Deep Shallow Dive Podcast” on Facebook titled, “Hard Truth Time”: “Maybe it’s time we stop letting the loudest, angriest voices write the script.”

  • The Words Of The King Of Mar A Lago

The Words Of The King Of Mar A Lago

I think Nigeria is a disgrace. The whole thing is a disgrace. They are killing people by the thousands. It is a genocide and I am really angry about it. The Government has done nothing. They are very ineffective and they are killing Christians at will. We will come in guns ablazing and it will be short, vicious and sweet”- President Donald Trump, 21st November 2025.

Is it not strange that each time this ill-bred, ill-informed, racist and recalcitrant war-monger opens his foul mouth more attacks, killings and abductions take place in Nigeria?

Has it not occurred to anyone that he is actually fuelling the insurgency with his words and constant denigration of our people, our Armed Forces and our Government?

Is this not an attempt to create a clear justification for what they really wish to do to us: namely invade and bomb us to kingdom come and then divide our country.

This is the same way they demonised the Government of Sudan before unleashing the UAE-funded Janjaweed militia known as the RSF on them and creating carnage in Darfur.

This is what they did to Congo DRC too before releasing the Rwanda-funded M23 militia and the butchery started.

Is it not strange to you that the man that says he wants to deliver and protect Christians in Nigeria welcomed into the White House with open arms the greatest butcher of Christians on earth by the name of Ahmed Al Sharaa (AKA Julani) who is the newly-installed President of Syria, only the other day and even gave him and his wife a bottle of “sweet” perfume in the full glare of the media.

Apparently he loves the Christians of Nigeria but hates the Christians of Syria.

He also hates the Christians of Gaza and the Palestinian West Bank who have suffered immensly in the hands of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Zionist State of Israel.

What an interesting paradox and contradiction this is and only a village idiot will be fooled by it.

Claiming that the King of Mar A Lago cares about Nigerian Christians is like claiming that the proverbial “big bad wolf” cares about Little Red Riding Hood or that Count Dracula cares about beautiful women. Believe such balderdash and poppycock at your own peril.

The Orange Man’s motivation for expressing concern about the plight of Christians at the hands of the terrorists in Nigeria is gain and not love and as for the plight of the Muslims he couldn’t care less.

The script is clear: stoke, provoke and fund chaos, discredit and weaken the sitting Government, incite the people, engender regime change and spark off a civil war which will enable you to pick up the spoils and plunder the nation dry.

Their evil eye is now on Nigeria. They say we have done nothing to stop the killing but they won’t tell you what they have done to stop supporting, enhancing and encouraging it for the last fifteen years?

They won’t tell you why they do not sell us the arms we need to fight the war or share the necessary intelligence with us.

They won’t tell you why they refused to designate Boko Haram as a terrorist organisation until 2015.

They won’t tell you why they imposed an arms embargo on Nigeria.

They won’t tell you why they have refused to offer even the smallest assistance to our Armed Forces in this war over the last few years and up till now.

They won’t tell you why USAID was funding ISWAP and Boko Haram.

They won’t tell you that they covertly established and utilised Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, the Taliban, Al Shabab, Al Nusra, Ansaru, ISWAP and Lakurawa right from the outset whilst pretending to fight them.

They won’t tell you the carnage that they unleashed on Libya, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Congo, Sudan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Somalia, Gaza, Yemen, Palestine, Ukraine, Central African Republic, Venezuela, Mali, Chad, Niger, Burkina Faso and elsewhere either directly or through their local proxies and sponsored militias.

They won’t tell you why they have now focused on Nigeria and why they are attempting to do same to South Africa.

Nigeria’s case is even more pitiful and alarming and we are clearly being set up for the kill.

Every time we make progress economically those that do not wish us well from outside our shores undermine the efforts of our Government and they do so in collaboration with members of the opposition.

It happened when President Olusegun Obasanjo, President Umaru Yar’adua, President Goodluck Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari were in power and now it is happening under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

These dark and sinister forces which are led and supported by what the Holy Bible describes as “bloodthirsty and evil men” have no loyalty and offer no fidelity to any African nation or leader.

As a matter of fact they hate us with what the Holy Bible describes as “a perfect hatred”.

Consequently for the last 65 years Nigeria has been the victim and target of a vicious, well-planned, well-funded, well-orchestrated international conspiracy and the ugly events of the last fifteen years and particularly the last few  weeks and months prove that.

During Obasanjo’s time when I was in Government the American State Department even went as far as to publicly and boastfully proclaim that by 2015 we would no longer be one nation.

That was their projection, hope and aspiration and they did everything in their power to achieve it but God, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, kept us together and put them to shame.

Today as we attempt to cosy up to them despite their threats and insults my advice and counsel is that we guard our hearts jealously for we trust them at our own peril.

Men of  blood and violence are incapable of honoring agreements and reciprocating friendship. And when they do they cannot sustain it.

In this respect the words of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, are instructive.

A few days ago he said, “the war in Ukraine started because of U.S. interference and now they are imposing a 28-article plan on the country they themselves dragged into the war. The Americans BETRAY even their own friends. They support the Zionist criminal regime, are ready to ignite wars anywhere in the world for oil and underground resources and today this war has reached Latin America. Undoubtedly, such a state is unworthy of having a Government like the Islamic Republic seek ties and cooperation with it.”

Can anyone dispute the veracity of Khamenei’s words?

The truth is that the Americans are pathologically unreliable and unscrupulously treacherous. What this means is that if, God forbid, things get out of hand in our country they may end up supporting the head of Boko Haram and ISWAP as our President. As far as they are concerned today’s terrorist is tomorrow’s leader. It really is that bad and if anyone doubts it they should find out what happened in Syria and Afghanistan!

Yet no leader has encapsulated the American disease better than President Gustavo Petro of Colombia when he said,

“A clan of pedophiles wants to destroy our democracy. To keep Epstein’s list from coming out they send warships to kill fishermen and threaten our neighbor with invasion for their oil. They want to turn the region into another Libya, full of slaves.”

This insightful and incisive contribution cannot be dismissed or ignored because it is rooted in truth.

To those that still trust the Americans despite all these observations I say “caveat emptor”  which, for those who never  had the privilege of learning or studying latin, means “buyer beware”.

For the record I am aware of the formation of the U.S./Nigeria Working Group which was established a few days ago.

I have implicit confidence in the National Security Advisor, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who leads it and it’s other members who, in my estimation, are loyal and distinguished patriots like my old friend and brother and our Foreign Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.

Despite the confidence I have in them  I urge them, for all our sakes, to be cautious of those they are working and collaborating with from the American side.

As they say, when you dine with the devil it is wise to do so with a long fork and knife.

Again as the Roman poet Virgil wrote in his literary masterpiece thousands of years ago titled ‘The Aeniad’, “beware of the Greeks, especially when they bring gifts”.

The Trojans learnt that lesson the hard way: let us hope that we do not.

What makes it worse is that now that they are reviewing the ‘Green Cards’ of nationals of all the ‘Countries of Concern’ as a result of the tragic shooting of two National Guard officers (one of whom has died) by Afghan nationals near the White House, this makes the matter even more dicey and complicated.

The Americans are now literally foaming at the mouth and looking for who to blame for their many  self-inflicted woes so we must be cautious.

The bitter truth is that every time we take ten steps forward they band together with their local co-conspirators and take us twenty steps back because their greatest nightmare is a strong, independent, united, flourishing Nigeria that brings pride and dignity to Africa and the black race.

Any Nigerian that takes pleasure in the security challenges we are facing in our country today is either a sadist, a masochist, insane or simply naive and unpatriotic. This is not about Tinubu but about our country.

The terrorists are being funded and supported by a dark, sinister and relentless foreign force that seeks to tear us apart, destroy us, humiliate us, rob us, occupy our land, steal our resources, pillage our rare earth minerals, erase our identity, distort our heritage, re-define our history and control the entire globe.

They are doing the same thing in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, South East Asia and much of the world.

Those that applaud that evil force and encourage it to enter our shores “guns-ablazing” and bomb us in the name of trying to help us fight the terrorists that they themselves are funding do not understand world politics and have no knowledge of modern history.

There is not one country that the Americans have entered with bullets, bombs and violence and left better than the way they found it.

Outside of that once we lose our sovereignty we will never get it back.

Once we rely on another country to fight our battles for us we are no longer a nation but a vassal state of cowardly slaves.

The solution to the problem is to support and encourage our Government and Armed Forces to face the challenge squarely and win this war.

Whatever it takes it is their obligation and duty to do this and with our support and understanding they surely will.

There is room for criticism and even anger but there is no room for disloyalty to the national cause or betrayal and collaboration with those that want to bring our country to her knees.

Things are tough and the enemy appears to be gaining ground but we must keep faith with God and have confidence that our President can and will turn things around.

This is a time to pray for Nigeria and to pray for our leaders and Armed Forces and not to gloat or cheer on those who mock, despise, undermine and insult us and seek to subvert their efforts.

This is a time to show those that have described us as being “a disgrace” that we are more than able to handle our own affairs and solve our problems despite their obvious malice and acts of sabotage.

This is a time to have faith in our country and our people and remember God’s promise and word that Nigeria shall be great again.

This is a time to line up behind our President and let him know that despite all that is happening we still have confidence in him and that he is not alone.

Thankfully there is light on the horizon. For example it is great news that the 24 female students that were abducted by terrorists from Government Girl’s Comprehensive Secondry School in Maga, Kebbi state have all been rescued.

Kudos to President Tinubu, our Armed Forces and our security agencies.

When we couple this with the fact that just a few days earlier every single one of the 33 worshippers that were abducted by terrorists from a Church in Eruku, Kwara state were also rescued and 50 of the 303 male and female students that were abducted from St. Mary’s school in Papiri, Niger State regained their freedom it rekindles our joy and gives cause for hope.

We still have a long way to go and our joy cannot be full until every single person that has been abducted is rescued and regains their freedom and until every terrorist has been killed but these efforts are promising and noteworthy and put a lie to the tactless assertion by Trump that we are a “disgraced country” which should be shamed, insulted, threatened and brought to her knees before the entire world.

Anyone that believes that a man like that who violates international law and all the norms of decency and civilisation by bombing and blowing small fishing boats out of the Atlantic ocean and murdering innocent, defenceless and faceless Venezuelan fishermen in cold blood on the grounds that they are supposedly carrying hard drugs into his country, is sane or capable of fighting for Christians in Nigeria is uninformed and unintelligent.

Again anyone that believes that if and when Trump starts dropping bombs on Northern Nigeria in the name of delivering Christians from terrorism and persecution that he will make a distinction between Christians and Muslims when those bombs start flying is a dullard.

A few days ago Professor Wole Soyinka, the literary giant and Nobel Laureate, described him as a “mad man”.

He went further by saying “Trump said he would come to Nigeria ‘guns ablazing’ and that it would be ‘fast, vicious and sweet’”.

He concluded by asking, “do these words sound like those of a sane person to you?”

On another occassion he referred to him as “a petty dictator” and “a white version of Idi Amin”.

    Soyinka is absolutely right.

On his part Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, a respected former Minister of Foreign Affairs said,

“when the most powerful man in the world threatens you with his own troops the devil is at the door knocking. We don’t want that devil to come in.”

    I concur.

To compound the point one of the few intelligent and rational American commentators left on earth, Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Colombia University, in his  reaction to Trump not turning up to the G20 meeting in South Africa, said the following to a South African audience the day before the meeting started.

He said, “why isn’t Donald Trump coming tomorrow? Because he has a four year old mentality and he is having a tantrum”.

    This is apt.

Imagine a man with a “four year old mentality” that is given to “tantrums” having control over the worlds largest arsenal of nuclear weapons and being the Commander in Chief of the most powerful army in human history.

Only God can save us from such a creature.

If anyone has any doubts about the accuracy of Sachs’ categorisation of Donald Trump’s infantile and fragile state of mind I urge them to consider the following words which he posted on his X handle on November 28th, after few days after the successful conclusion of the G20 meeting in South Africa, and which graphically reflects his vindictive, petty and puerile disposition. He wrote,

“The United States did not attend the G20 in South Africa, because the South African Government refuses to acknowledge or address the horrific Human Right Abuses endured by Afrikaners, and other descendants of Dutch, French, and German settlers. To put it more bluntly, they are killing white people, and randomly allowing their farms to be taken from them. Perhaps, worst of all, the soon to be out of business New York Times and the Fake News Media won’t issue a word against this genocide. That’s why all the Liars and Pretenders of the Radical Left Media are going out of business! At the conclusion of the G20, South Africa refused to hand off the G20 Presidency to a Senior Representative from our U.S. Embassy, who attended the Closing Ceremony. Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the Great City of Miami, Florida next year. South Africa has demonstrated to the World they are not a country worthy of Membership anywhere, and we are going to stop all payments and subsidies to them, effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

If this vile, disrespectful and nonsensical verbiage does not betray the mindset of a spoilt, ill-bred and delusional four year old brat whose toys have been taken away from him then I don’t know what will.

Jeffrey Sachs, together with men and women like Colonel Douglas Macgregor, Lt. Colonel Scott Ritter, Chris Hedges, Abby Martin and Candace Owens are amongst the few that have the courage to call out  Trump and his MAGA movement and still speak truth in America today.

They are the saving grace and redeeming factor of the American intellectual space.

The rest are mostly Yankee cowboys and cowgirls with little or no intelligence that are only interested in extending the boundaries of American hegemony and that present a very real danger to the peace and stability of the civilised world.

Recent events in Gaza, Darfur, Congo, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Venezuela prove that.

When it comes to his threats against Nigeria we must consider the fact that such is the level of Trump’s utter depravity that he is quite capable of blowing up a whole town with ALL the people in it, both Christian and Muslim, in the name of targetting and killing terrorists and saving Nigeria’s Christians.

His agenda is not hidden. Trump is attempting to demonise and dehumanise us ALL so that he can come in and slaughter us without consequence.

That is what we are toying with when we urge him to come and have his wicked way with us.

In case anyone is in any doubt about this I urge them to consider his words, spoken on the 5th of November.

He said, “we don’t lose wars. Sometimes, we don’t fight to win. We’ll stay around a country for 15 years, just bomb the hell out of everybody, make everybody miserable. Nobody knows why we’re there. You know the wars that never end — that wasn’t me. That was the stupidity of the people before me”.

He says that wasn’t him and describes the people that were in power before him as “stupid” but frankly none of them has been as brutal and brazen as he has been when it comes to killing innocent people and deploying military force and economic coercion against not just his own people but also the rest of the world.

Even his countries’ traditional allies have not been spared of his insults, threats, mockery and blackmail.

Those that believe his “that wasn’t me” mantra do so at their own peril.

Those that are praying for Trump to come and “save us” in Nigeria remind me of the proverbial turkey that is praying for Christmas and the proverbial ram that is praying for Sallah.

In the end, after their prayers have been answered, they will be slaughtered and devoured on that day but due to their low intelligence quotient they don’t see it coming despite all the evidence.

There is a reason that Rev. (Dr.) Munther Isaac of the Orthodox Church, Bethlehem in the West Bank said, “we Palestinians prefer to die and be martyred than to have someone like Trump defending us”.

I urge every Nigerian Christian, especially the excitable ones that claim to love Trump, that see him as their saviour and that insist on calling themselves Biafrans, to ponder on this.

You do not invite satan in to solve your problems. You do not invoke a demon to provide a solution for your challenges.

It is better for us to solve our problems ourselves and fight our own battles as Christians than to rely on Trump and the Americans to come and fight them for us.

A word is enough for the wise.

Before ending this contribution permit me to address the fundamental issues.

The question is whether we really do have a Christian genocide problem in Nigeria and the answer is ‘yes, we do’.

Again the question is whether we have a Muslim genocide problem in Nigeria and again the answer is ‘yes we do!’

Both Christians and Muslims are the victims of the terrorists and anyone that says otherwise is a pernicious and specious liar.

Any assertion that seeks to deny this incontrovertible fact is nothing but perfidy and deceit.

The final question is what can we do to solve these problems and the answer is as follows.

Firstly, we must resolve to kill every single terrorist and make it a criminal offence punishable by death to assist, collaborate, encourage, support, negotiate or pay ransoms to them.

Secondly we must resist every attempt by the Americans or any other group of foreigners and their local collaborators to drive a wedge between Christians and Muslims in our country.

Thirdly we must get the Federal Government to provide the necessary security, do their job properly, keep them on their toes and hold them to account.

Fourthly we must inspire, motivate, encourage and equip our soldiers and security agencies and give them all the weaponry, resources and support that they need to do the job.

Fifthly we must urge our President to reach Lt. Colonel Eebyn Barlow, the highly acclaimed, celebrated, experienced and respected retired South African Special Forces officer that scored great successes against Boko Haram when President Goodluck Jonathan brought him and his company, Executive Outcomes, into our country in 2014 to assist and support our Armed Forces.

And finally we must get President Tinubu to reach out to President Vladimer Putin, enter a defence pact with the Russian Federation and urge the Russians to assist our Armed Forces in our fight against the terrorists.

We must also build greater, deeper and stronger economic ties with China and consolidate our friendship and diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom, Germany, France and the European Union.

What we must NOT do is trust the Americans or rely on them for ANYTHING.

We cannot trust a nation whose President has publicly referred to ours as “a shithole” and “a disgrace”, who has contempt for us, who constantly threatens us and says he will withdraw all the aid they have been giving us and who has a clear and distinct psychopathic disposition.

This seems to me to be basic logic.

Let us hope  that someone is listening.

Permit me to end this contribution with the words of Trump himself which will give even his greatest and most ardent supporters in Nigeria and indeed throughout Africa and the Global South pause for thought and an insight into just how dark and sinister the inner recesses of his complex mind really are.

In a long post on his X page on Thanksgiving Day he wrote, inter alia,

“even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many. I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization. These goals will be pursued with the aim of achieving a major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorized and illegal Autopen approval process. Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation. Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for: you won’t be here for long!”

After reading this if you still believe that Donald Trump is our friend I wish you luck!

May the Lord defend and protect the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

  • Trump’s grave error

    Trump’s grave error

President Donald Trump, I am constrained to ask you the following question.

With respect, do you really believe there can be peace after you have dropped all those bombs?

If so, you are far less intelligent than I thought, and power has blinded your better judgement.

You have clearly lost your senses, your emotions have taken over, and, like a scorned woman, you are unable to exercise any logical or rational thinking.

At this point, perhaps the best course for the American people is to have you impeached. The world and America would be better for it.

How I wish you had listened to the likes of Tulsi Gabbard (your own Head of Security and Intelligence), Candace Owen, Tucker Carlson,  Alex Jones, Nick Fuentes, Marjorie Green, Scott Ritter, Norman Finklestein, Aiden Hunter, Professor Meschmeir, Andrew Tate, Tristan Tate, Steve Bannon, David Icke and so many other influential, cerebal and saner figures in your country and elsewhere and NOT dropped these bombs on Iran.

Sadly, you have gone against the tide of world opinion and even that of most of those in your MAGA movement and nation and attacked her.

This was a monumental mistake and grave error.

A few days ago, I accused you of suffering from hubris (which always leads to nemesis), and you have proved me right.

With this single act of stupidity and recklessness,  you have murdered sleep and destroyed everything positive that you ever did for your country,  both in your first and second coming.

Worse of all, you have betrayed God and the American people who put you on the throne to make PEACE and bring justice, sanity and order to the world.

Instead of doing that, you have joined hands with the children of satan and the sons of perdition to destroy the world and bring nothing but division, carnage, blood and tears.

War comes at a high price, and a weakened Iran is a dangerous Iran with nothing to lose. You have woken up the lion in them and left them with no choice but to rise up and defend themselves from your attack and not just the attacks from your puppet Israel.

This is especially so given the fact that it is clear that the threat to them, despite your fake assurances and lies, is existential, and your ultimate intention is to remove their government, dismember their nation and turn it into something worse than modern-day Libya, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan and Gaza.

Simply put, you want to kill their leaders, cut off their balls as a nation and turn them into a pitiful shadow of their former selves and a weak and pathetic collection of powerless, hungry, ravaged and desperate eunuchs and refugees.

You want to shatter their identity and dreams, denigrate their history and pride, decimate their dignity and heritage, shame their essence and ancestors, bring them to their knees and turn them into a nation of vagrants, vassals and homeless beggars.

They will NEVER allow this to happen without a fight, and unlike in the case of others, they do have strong friends and allies in China, Russia, Pakistan, North Korea, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Middle East, the Global South & much of the Muslim world.

It is not about winning for them but about defending their people, fighting for their pride, honouring their heritage, affirming their rich and noble history and standing up for their rights even if it means that they all have to die. Martyrdom is joy to them, and that is what you are up against.

I suggest you look to all your military bases, assets and personnel and allies in the Middle East and Arab Gulf states and to the waters of the Hormuz Straits because they will now ALL be tagretted by the Iranians.

If you think they will bow to you, run away from the fight and not respond, then you know nothing about their sense of pride, self-respect, culture, history or faith. They would rather die than bend the knee to the likes of you, and this is a noble trait which we should ALL emulate.

You were never ‘America First’ but rather you are ‘Israel First’.  You were never for #MAGA (Make America Great Again) but rather you were for MIGA (Make Israel Great Again)!

By bombing Iran and entering the fray, you have brought the entire world one step closer to WW3. You have opened the gates of hell. You have set the Middle East on fire and you have thrust your people into a war which was not theirs to fight and for no just cause on behalf of an ethno-fascist, racist, genocidal, child-killing, ethnic-cleansing and mass murdering apartheid state of religious bigots, right-wing extremists, Zionists and fanatics which control both you and your country.

Make no mistake, the Iranians WILL hit back and this will be the beginning of the end of not just American hegemony and the American empire but also of your legacy and the MAGA movement.

As a consequence of your fragile ego, low intelligence quotient, pride, vanity, poor choices, bullying disposition and inexplicable desire to serve Bibi Netanyahu and the nation of Israel even at the expense of yours, millions of people will die and full scale war shall return to not just the Middle East but ultimately to the entire world.

I once thought you were a man of vision, strength, peace and compassion, but I was wrong. Now I know that you are no better than a shallow fool and a road-side bully: a dangerous and despicable creature that has no honour, no truth, no value for human life and no love of God.

May the Lord save the world from you and your neocon, fascist and Zionist friends and allies.

JUST IN: Court discharges, acquits Fani-Kayode of medical forgery

Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe of an  Ikeja Special Offences Court on Tuesday discharged and acquitted the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, of the charge of medical forgery leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Abike-Fadipe while delivering ruling on the no case submission filed by Fani-Kayode’s Counsel, Mr Wale Balogun (SAN), held  that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case agains the defendant.

Abike-Fadipe said the prosecution failed  to establish a link between the defendant and the offences for which he was charged.

She said the prosecution failed establish a prima facie case against  the defendant.

She noted that the prosecution also failed to present the defendant’s associates who allegedly collected money from him or the lawlwyer who allegedly stated that the defendant had instructed his law firm to take the medical reports to the Federal High Court.

“As to the issue of costs, the defendant is at liberty to file an action report and do so in private.”

The judge consequently discharged and acquitted the defendant of the alleged offences.

EFCC had on November 11, 2021 charged Fani-Kayode on a 12-count charge of procuring and execution of documents by false pretences, use of false documents, fabrication of evidence and use of fabricated evidence.

During trial, the prosecution had called seven  witnesses to testify against the former minister and closed its case.

Fani-Kayods had on December 7, 2024 filed  a no case submission and submitted that  the prosecution had failed in establishing the charges against him.

  • A history of Zionist atrocities

    A history of Zionist atrocities

I am not anti-semitic and I have many Jewish friends who I hold in high esteem.

I recognise the fact that there are millions of Jews all over the world, particularly in Europe, Russia, Iran, Ethiopia and even in the United States of America itself, who have publicly renounced the excesses and atrocities of the Zionists and who seek nothing but peace, fellowship, love, fraternity and mutual respect with their non-Jewish neighbours.

Having said this, I must also put on record my utter disgust and disdain for the Zionists and for Zionism itself which is a political construct and philosophy that I consider to be akin to apartheid and therefore evil.

It is a philosophy that is espoused by those that can best be described as intellectual barbarians and cultural hegemons.

To add to this I feel nothing but repugnance, contempt and revulsion for the racism and fanaticism of the Ashkenazi Jews, the progenitors and primary promoters of Zionism, who the Allied powers of World War 11, at the behest and with the money of the stupendously wealthy Rothschild family, established Israel for and handed her over to in 1948.

The Ashkenazi were and still are essentially proxies and agents of the Rothschilds and the Western powers, the enforcers of their purpose and collective will in the Middle East and the protectors of their numerous interests in that region.

From inception they constituted themselves into the rich, elite and all-powerful ruling political class of the Jewish State despite the fact that they were nothing but a bunch of non-semitic white primarily Eastern European colonial settlers and immigrants, who were not even originally Jewish but only converted to Judaism in the 8th Century and who saw and still see every other true Jew, including the Sephardic Jews and the real Semites (including the Palestinians), as being inferior to them and unfit to lead their nation.

In a clumsy attempt to cover their non-semitic origins and obscure the fact that they have no genetic link with the people of the Middle East from the outset, they banned all DNA testing in Israel, and that remains the case till today.

This is because the Askenazi cannot legitimately trace their ancestry back to Israel for more than two generations! That is how crafty they are!

To get a clear picture of precisely what the world is up against this contribution will focus on not just the atrocities of the Zionists and the Zionist state of Israel but will also offer a small glimpse into the dark and frightful history of Jewry generally.

It is not designed or intended to offend or to be an attack on the Jews but rather a historical analysis of some of the unspeakable crimes and injustices they have committed and indulged in over the years that have shaken the foundations of  humanity and brought pain and sorrow to millions all over the world.

Let us begin with the most significant event of all, which took place 2000 years ago in Jerusalem when the Jews murdered the Son of God, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, by insisting on his crucifiction.

He was hanged on a cross and crucified like a common criminal, inflicting more pain on Him than the human mind can possibly comprehend.

As He bled and suffered, offering no complaint or resistance and instead asking God the Father to “forgive them for their sins”, they continued to scream in a rabid frenzy with hate and rage shouting, “Let His blood be upon us and our children.”

Till today, 2000 years later, they have not expressed any remorse or regret for this cruel and barbaric act against a selfless, sinless, kind, loving, compassionate and innocent soul who we Believers regard as none other than the Lamb of God, the Ancient of Days, the Lord of Hosts, the King of Kings, the long-awaited Messiah and He who came down as God incarnate in the flesh. But instead, they relish and celebrate it with fervour, even going as far as to describe him in their “holy book” called the Talmud as “a fake, a charlatan and a fraud” who according to their twisted and irreverent minds is “now burning in hell where he is eating human faeces”.

Over the last 1000 years they spread to virtually every nation, taking over the world’s banking system and controlling the worlds supply of money with which they promoted and funded revolutions, counter revolutions and wars, built up and destroyed economies, brought  governments and nations to their knees and determined the political future and fate of leaders in the most powerful countries in the world.

Such was the power of the Jews that from 1917, in the persons of two of their most famous sons, Vladimer Lenin and Leon Trotsky, they banned religion and presided over the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Christian clerics and millions of Christians in the Soviet Union after the Bolshevik revolution.

Yet it didn’t stop there, and their influence continued to permeate the entire world and kept growing.

This awesome power that they had and wielded with impunity incurred the wrath of many in the west including the German Chancellor Adolf Hitler who blamed them for the humiliation and defeat of his country in World War 1 and who, in a classic case of total and complete insanity, sought to wipe them off the face of the earth in what he described in his book ‘Mein Kampf’ as the “Final Solution” and what the world dscribed as “the holocaust”.

He proceeded to gas to death no fewer than six million of them together with millions of Slavs, homosexuals and gypsies in horrendous concentration camps: a barbaric, condemnable and heinous act and a graphic example of man’s inhumanity to man.

Thankfully Hitler and Nazi Germany lost World War 11, and partly to compensate the Jews for the suffering and persecution that they had suffered in the West generally and the genocide that they endured at the hands of Hitler in Germany specifically, they were offered a new homeland in a place known as Palestine, which was at the very heart of the Middle East from which they had been exiled and scattered from 2000 years earlier but where millions of Palestinians had always lived and had never left.

This was a recipe for disaster, given the fact that the Jews and their concept and philosophy of Zionism regarded themselves as being “the master race” and refused to share the land with anyone else, describing themselves as “God’s chosen people” who had a divine mandate to forcefully and violently retake what they called “the Promise Land”, ethnically cleanse it of all other races and practitioners of other religious faiths and re-establish the old Jewish Kingdom of the Holy Bible stretching from the borders of Egypt right up to Iran!

To the Zionists everything that existed in that vast space of land and everyone in it belonged to them as treasure, chattel, vassals and slaves.

Consequently, with the tacit support of the West and in an attempt to establish this vision and objective, over the last 76 years they have fought, oppressed, undermined, caged, enslaved, dehumanised and subdued the Palestinian people and their Arab neighbours, killed millions of Palestinians and subjected them to genocide, and for the last one year alone murdered over 100,000 innocent and defenceless Christian and Muslim Palestinian civilians (mainly women and children) by bombing them with more ordinance and more precision bombs that were dropped in the entire duration of World War 11, slaughtering them with the most sophisticated and deadly weapons and burying them under the rubble of Gaza, subjecting them to what can best be described as a second holocaust.

Such is the mindset of the Zionists that an anti-Zionist secular Israeli activist who lives in Tel Aviv, Gaia Dan, said the following:

“There are only a few hundred anti-Zionist Israelis—about .01% of the adult population—and the vast majority of our society is genocidal.”

Worst still 80% of the population in Israel are opposed to a two-state solution and instead believe in totally subjugating and enslaving whatever number of the Palestinian people that are not eliminated and exterminated and occupying their land.

Simply put, they want all Palestinians who they regard as nothing but “human animals” to be nuked, to be scattered all over the world, to be driven into the sea or the Sinai desert and to simply “disappear”. A countless number of their senior government officials and political leaders, including Minister of Finance Bezalel Smoritch, former Minister of Defence Yoav Gallant, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, Minister of Heritage Amihayi Eliyahu and many others have expressed these sentiments publicly.

Today, their leader Benjamin Netanyahu has been rightly indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court at the Hague (ICC), and instead of showing any remorse or regret he, his nation, his Zionist supporters and his American backers have threatened the court with sanctions if he is arrested in any of the 124 countries that are signatories to the relevant Treaty and have branded as being “anti-semitic” anyone or group of persons that have expressed concern or outrage about his homicidal, lawless and lunatic behaviour.

Permit me to share an example of this idiocy.

In his response to the arrest warrant issued on Netanyahu during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity in November 2024, American Senator Lindsay Graham, an unhinged figure who constantly expresses his insatiable lust for war and carnage, said the following:

“You are going to have to pick either the rogue ICC or America. I am working with Senator Tom Cotton to have legislation passed as soon as we can to sanction any country that aids and abets the arrest of any politician in Israel. What they are doing in Israel is trying to prevent a second Holocaust. So, to any ally, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, if you try to help the ICC, we are going to sanction you”.

When Hannity asked what the sanction and penalty would be, Graham replied, “We will crush your economy because we are next. If they can go after Netanyahu why can’t they go after Trump or any other American President under this theory?”

His words confirm the fact that this dangerous, deluded, divisive, toxic and psychotic individual who actually believes that he is still living in the old American “wild west” where lawless and gun-totting cowboys were shooting native Indians for sport and where a drunken all powerful sheriff whose word was law ruled every town with an iron fist and gunned down people at will, is afflicted with what the English common law describes as “a diseased mind”.

More importantly the answer to his question can easily be answered with another, namely: why shouldn’t the ICC go after Trump or any other American President if they commit war crimes and crimes against humanity?

Are Americans and Israelis above the law or have they, like Ian Flemings’ famous fictitious character James Bond (007), been given a licence to kill? If this is the case, who on earth gave it to them?

In reference to the war in Ukraine, Graham was also once quoted as saying “it is a good thing to kill Russians!” Is this not madness in its most graphic form?

Senator Lindsay Graham represents everything reprehensible about the American right-wing and I sincerely pray that he and those that think like him in the American Senate do not plunge the world into World War 3 or a nuclear Armageddon.

My question is this: how far do the Zionists have to go and how many more innocent people do they have to kill before we accept the fact that that they are the problem of the world and that their so-called Jewish state must be brought to heel and made accountable for its unspeakable actions?

To the Christian that says we must love them no matter what heinous crime they commit, I say the following: the greatest of all commandments is to love our God with all our soul and all our might whilst the second greatest is to love our fellow men and treat them in the way we wish to be treated ourselves.

To applaud genocide and to support the ethnic cleansing of an entire race that are God’s creation, no matter what they may or may not have done, runs contrary to both of these sacred commandments and cannot be justified by some far fetched notion that the Jew is not subject to the laws of God and man.

We want a better world: a world where the Christian, the Jew, the Muslim, the Hindu and indeed all men and women of faith are regarded as one and bound together in peace and love by their common humanity and manifest destiny.

Yet it appears that the United States of America, once described by President Ronald Reagan as “a shining city on a hill” and the “hope of humanity”, is determined to deny us such a world.

Mr. Chris Hedges, the highly celebrated and deeply courageous American journalist, summed up his nation’s malevolent disposition when he said the following words on 18th June 2024:

“We do not halt Israel’s genocide because we, as Americans, ARE Israel. We are infected with the same white supremacy doctrine and we are intoxicated by our domination of the globe’s wealth and the power to obliterate others with our advanced weaponry.

“The vaunted democratic values, morality and respect for human rights claimed by Israel and the United States have always been a lie. The real credo is this: We have everything and if you try and take it away from us, we will kill you people of color, especially when they are poor and vulnerable.

“Do not count their hopes, dignity and aspirations for freedom. The lives of those outside the empire are worthless. Global domination will be sustained through racialized violence.

“The lie that the American empire is predicated on democracy and liberty is what the Palestinians, those in the global south, Native Americans and Black and Brown Americans, not to mention those who live in the Middle East, have known for decades.

“But it is a lie that still has currency in the United States and Israel: a lie used to justify the unjustifiable.”

Professor Jeffrey Sachs, an American economist and public policy analyst and a Professor of Columbia University went further by recently saying, “The most violent country in the world in the 19th Century was also the most democratic or second most democratic country in the world, and that was Great Britain. You can be democratic at home and ruthlessly imperial abroad. The most violent country in the world since 1950 has been the United States”.

    I concur.

The celebrated British journalist Owen Jones added his voice to the outrage that has trailed the American-sponsored Israeli slaughter in Gaza by saying the following on the 26th of November, “1,410 ENTIRE Palestinian families exterminated by Israel. From babies and teenagers to parents to great grandparents. If one extended family was wiped out in Britain it would be headline news for weeks. It has happened 1,410 times in Gaza with a much smaller population.”

All this yet American leaders cheer the Zionists on and continue to provide them with massive funding and lethal weapons as if they were doing nothing but killing mosquitos or slaughtering turkeys at Christmas.

It follows that the home truth about America is, to say the least, ugly and disconcerting and few venture to dare voice it.

Joe Biden’s America particularly has become a gangerous stinking sore and a formidable challenge to the peace and stability of the world and the only hope the so-called “land of the free” and “home of the brave” has left is if incoming President Donald Trump succeeds and if he truly intends to do so he must rid himself of the inexplicable obsession and fatal attraction that most American leaders have with and for the citadel of evil and enclave of genocide called Israel.

If he refuses to do so, and frankly the signs are not good, given his cabinet choices of pro-Israeli hawks and warmongers, he too, like Joe Biden and the cackling, strange and empty-headed woman that he named his Vice President, Kamala Harris, will crash to an ignoble end.

This would be very sad because I am one of those that has always had a soft spot and the greatest admiration and respect for Donald Trump.

The reason why millions in Africa, the ‘global south’ and indeed all over the world look to China, Russia and the newly formed BRICS economic bloc of nations for leadership and inspiration today is because America has lost its decency and has jettisoned its noble values.

Nothing confirms this more than the unending and unlimited support and blind love that they have consistently displayed for their monster child called Israel.

America is today a nation of genocide-enablers with insensitive and morally bankrupt leaders who have lost all sense of humanity and who have turned their European allies like the United Kingdom, Germany, France and indeed all the other members of the NATO alliance into pitiful puppets and fawning vassals whilst they treat the rest of the world as nothing but worthless serfs and slaves.

Only the Chinese and Russians present hope for a greater and better future for humanity and that is why so many in the global south gravitate towards them.

Permit me share the words of one of the worlds most consistent and powerful voices against oppression and injustice, Clare Daly, the former Irish MP and MEP and a lady who is known for speaking truth to power.

A few days ago she said the following on the arrest warrant that has been issued by the ICC on Netanyahu and Gallant.

She said, “About time. It is only the start. The idea that there are only two people criminally responsible is definitely not the case at this point. It needs to go all the way to the top of the U.S. administration and to the European Union elites who have enabled and ensured that this genocide has continued.

“It couldn’t have happened without them. It wouldn’t have even started without them, to be honest. And unless it goes there, well, then, you know, the ICC has a huge credibility problem. Like, this is it—Israel is finished after this. They have nowhere else to go.

“And it may not seem like that because you know the EU and the US have their backs at the moment but I firmly believe that this is this generation’s Vietnam. Things will never be the same after this.

“A whole layer of young people and people who are older who never paid attention to this issue are not gonna let it go until there is justice for Palestine and this issue is dealt with.

“It’s absolutely tragic that it’s happening at such a terrible cost and still continues. But it is the harbinger of a big change as well”.

    Daly is absolutely right.

History is replete with the heinous crimes of the Zionist state even against America herself.

Most are denied and brushed under the carpet but they are nevertheless true. A few examples will suffice.

Who killed American President John F. Kennedy?

Few are aware that there was a raging and longstanding dispute between the then Prime Minister of Israel Ben Gurion and Kennedy about allowing Israel to acquire nuclear weapons, a proposition which was sorely opposed by the latter and which may have resulted in a direct threat to his life.

This has been the prevailing thinking in intelligence and security circles for decades but due to the classification of most of the relevant documents much about the circumstances and motives for his assasination has been hidden from public scrutiny.

Nevertheless whispers of truth are finally coming out.

In an article titled ‘Did Zionists Kill U.S. President John F. Kennedy?’ published in ‘A News Gallery World’ on 22nd Nov. 2023 the American author wrote the following:

“The enduring enigma of Kennedy’s assassination continues to baffle. The former U.S. President lost his life 60 years ago in a fatal attack. Speculation has been raised about Israel’s potential involvement as Kennedy was vocal in opposing their nuclear weapon pursuits.

“There were also claims made linking the two events as Kennedy vehemently opposed Israel’s nuclear programme. In fact, he expressed his concerns in a confidential letter stating ‘Your nuclear weapons will greatly damage our relationship’.

“These fears were further fuelled by a former Israeli General who worried that Kennedy would order an airstrike on their nuclear site. The reason for suspecting Israel was Kennedy’s strong opposition to Israel possessing nuclear weapons.

Despite the fact that it has been 60 years since the assassination many theories have been put forward about it including the claim that Israel was responsible for the killing.

“In the incident, Israel, along with the Soviet Union and Cuba, were among the suspects. After Ben Gurion resigned in Israel, Kennedy wrote a detailed letter to his successor Levi Eshkol on the subject.

“In a letter whose confidentiality decision was lifted by the U.S. National Archives a few years ago, it was clearly stated that any wrong move by Israel would strain bilateral relations. Five months after writing this letter, Kennedy was assassinated.

“Documents revealed the confession of former Israeli Air Force Commander Dan Tolkowsky about that tense period. The unsolved mystery surrounding former U.S. President Kennedy’s assassination, which occurred 60 years ago, continues to intrigue many.”

A French author by the name of Germain Gorais went into even more detail as regards the motives and put the matter rather more concisely and succinctly in an article published in La Observateur Continental in November 2023 by saying, “In order to eliminate resistance to Israel’s nuclear armament and to reduce pressure on Israel for the “right of return” for 800,000 Palestinians, US president JF Kennedy was assassinated.

“Since the 1950s, Israel had undertaken the secret manufacture of atomic bombs. In 1986 reliable evidence emerged demonstrating that Israel had secretly obtained the atomic bomb as early as 1967.

“Since then, all successively elected US Presidents have been held hostage by Israel. Kennedy was also committed to the right of return for 800,000 Palestinians expelled from their homes and villages in 1948 for which the American delegation to the UN presented a proposal on November 20, 1963.

“He was assassinated 2 days later.”

Another excellent piece on the alleged involvement of Israel in the murder of JFK is titled “From Dallas to Gaza: How JFK’s Assassination Was Good for Zionist Israel” by an American by the name of Rick Sterling and published on Dec 15, 2023.

I recommend this insightful contribution for reading for those that are interested.

If all this does not raise eyebrows or provide food for thought about the true nature of the State of Israel perhaps the following will.

Who brought down the Trade Towers in New York City on 9/11?

Few are aware of the fact that Benjamin Netanyahu wrote a book titled ‘Fighting Terrorism: How Democracies Can Defeat Domestic and International Terrorism’  which he made reference to in an interview a few years later. In that interview he said, “The West really doesn’t understand militant Islam so I wrote a book in 1995 and I said that if the West doesn’t wake up to the suicidal nature of militant Islam the next thing you’ll see is that militant Islam is bringing down the World Trade Centre”.

Six years after writing his book the two towers of the World Trade Center were actually brought down by supposedly militant Islamic terrorists and a few years later the same Benjamin Netanyahu said,

“We (meaning Israel) are benefiting from one thing and that is the attack on the Trade Towers, on the Pentagon and the American struggle in Iraq”.

Does anyone need to look any further to know who was really behind 9/11 and who benefitted from it the most?

Again who attacked the USS Liberty, a United States Navy Signals Intelligence ship on June 8th 1967 in the middle of the Six Day war killing 34 people and injuring and wounding another 170 if not the Israeli Defence Force yet the whole matter was covered up out of fear of the rage that this would stir against Israel amongst the American people?

Again who bombed the King David Hotel in Palestine on 22 July 1946 if not ‘Irgun’ the Zionist terrorist organisation that was led by Menachim Begin who later became the Jewish states’ Prime Minister and in which 91 British citizens and soldiers were killed?Again who murdered Count Folke Bernadotte, the Swedish diplomat and United Nations mediator on September 17th 1948 when, whilst on his way to Jerusalem to negotiate a peace deal which would have ensured Palestinian rights, had his plane shot down from mid-air if not the same Zionist terrorist organisation Irgun?

Sadly with him crashed all attempts by the United Nations to help the Palestinians and Israelis arrive at a diplomatic solution.

Again who orchestrated the mass murder of 3,500 Arab Muslim women and children by Israeli-funded and Israeli-armed Lebanese Christian militias during the Lebanese civil war in the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila from the 15th to the 18th of September in 1982 after all the men had been lured from withdrawing from the camps and volunteered to go on exile to Tunisia with a guaranty of safety and security from America and Israel for their women and children if not the Jewish state?

Again who created, backed and funded Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, Daesh, ISIS, Al Shabab and Boko Haram? Was it not the CIA in conjunction with MOSSAD that did this and is that not why Israel and Israeli assets have NEVER been targetted or attacked by any of these listed terrorist organisations?

Are these listed terror groups not all tools of destabilisation that are being used by MOSSAD and the CIA to destabilise and destroy the territory and Governments of their perceived enemies like Syria, Iraq and Libya and sometimes even that of their stubborn “friends” in North, West and East Africa?

Again who, if not the Jewish Rothschild family, commissioned an infamous crook and fraudster called Cyrus I. Schofield to doctor the words, meaning and intent of portions of the Holy Bible in 1909 to re-write God’s word and make it appear that the planned re-establishment of the Jewish/Zionist state which was to eventually come in 1948 would be a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and the intention of God, knowing fully well that this was false and that the Holy Bible clearly states that the new Israel will not be re-established until after the second coming of the Messiah.

This shameless and devastating act of disinformation and misinformation, in my view, has done more damage to Christianity and the Christian pysche and thinking than any other since the crucifiction of our Lord simply because it constrains and compels Christians to erroneously believe that they have a divine obligation and holy duty to support and love the newly established State of Israel no matter what it does and no matter what horrendous atrocities it commits.

    Consider the following.

    In October 2015

Maidhc O. Cathail published his article titled ‘The Scofield Bible—The Book That Made Zionists of America’s Evangelical Christians’.

    He wrote, inter alia,

“Since it was first published in 1909, the Scofield Reference Bible has made uncompromising Zionists out of tens of millions of Americans. When John Hagee, the founder of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), said that “50 million evangelical bible-believing Christians unite with five million American Jews standing together on behalf of Israel,” it was the Scofield Bible that he was talking about. Although the Scofield Reference Bible contains the text of the King James Authorized Version, it is not the traditional Protestant bible but Scofield’s annotated commentary that is problematic. More than any other factor it is Scofield’s notes that have induced generations of American evangelicals to believe that God demands their uncritical support for the modern State of Israel. Central to Christian Zionist belief is Scofield’s commentary on Genesis 12:3: ‘I will bless them that bless thee.’ In fulfillment closely related to the next clause, ‘And curse him that curseth thee’. It has invariably fared ill with the people who have persecuted the Jew and well with those who have protected him.

Drawing on Scofield’s rather tendentious interpretation, Hagee claims, “The man or nation that lifts a voice or hand against Israel invites the wrath of God.” But as Stephen Sizer points out in his definitive critique, “The promise, when referring to Abraham’s descendants, speaks of God blessing them, not of entire nations ‘blessing’ the Hebrew nation, still less the contemporary and secular State of Israel.” Notwithstanding this more orthodox reading, The New Scofield Study Bible, published by Oxford University Press in 1984, intensified Scofield’s interpretation by adding, “For a nation to commit the sin of anti-Semitism brings inevitable judgement.” Sustained by dubious exegesis of selective biblical texts,” Sizer concludes, “Christian Zionism’s particular reading of history and contemporary events…sets Israel and the Jewish people apart from other peoples in the Middle East…it justifies the endemic racism intrinsic to Zionism, exacerbates tensions between Jews and Palestinians and undermines attempts to find a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, all because ‘the Bible tells them so’. In his 2008 book, The Rise of Israel: A History of a Revolutionary State, Jonathan R. Adelman describes the crucial support Israel receives from Christian fundamentalists as “totally fortuitous.” That assertion is belied, however, by the incredible career of the man who wrote “the Bible of Fundamentalism.” Two years after Scofield’s reported conversion to Christianity in 1879 the Atchison Patriot Newspaper was less than impressed. Describing the former Atchison resident as the “late lawyer, politician and shyster,” the article went on to recount a few of Scofield’s “many malicious acts.” These included a series of forgeries in St. Louis, for which he was sentenced to six months in jail.

Had the Scofield Bible never been published, American Presidents influenced by Christian Zionism such as Truman, Johnson, Reagan and George W. Bush might have been less sympathetic to Israeli demands and consequently more attentive to U.S. interests. Moreover, the American people could have been spared the pseudo-Christian rants of John Hagee, Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, not to mention the lucrative End Times Rapture “prophecy” peddled by Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye..But it is the people of the Middle East who have been most affected by an expansionist Israel emboldened by the unswerving allegiance of Christian Zionists led to believe that Scofield’s words are God’s will. Not least among the many victims of the Scofield Bible are 5 million Palestinian refugees whose right to return is fervently opposed by America’s Zionized Christians. Thanks to their indoctrination by Scofield’s unholy book, they believe that Palestine belongs not to the Palestinians—many of whom are fellow Christians—but exclusively to ‘God’s chosen people’.”

Cathail has hit the nail on the head and I recommend a reading of the full text of his detailed and insightful essay.

Schofield and the Jews who commissioned him have done a great disservice and dealt a grievous blow to Christian Theology. I have little doubt that God will punish them for it.

Andrew Slater, in his book titled ‘Christian Zionism’ supported Cathail’s position when he  wrote the following,

“Theodore Herzl and the Rothschilds first approached the current Pope at the time Pope Pius X who immediately rejected facilitating the Zionist takeover of Palestine.

The Rothschilds who were after seizing the land of Palestine, knew that they had to get the Protestant churches on board with their agenda. So they recruited a non-Jew Christian ‘theologian’ called C. I. Scofield to convince the Protestant Churches that the Jews must retake the promised land to fulfill prophecy. The target was to infiltrate Protestant Christianity by creating their own ‘Bible’”.

Again I recommend this fascinating book for those who are interested in this topic. It is an eye-opener.

Kudos to men like Cathail and Slater who have exposed the great lie and damnable falsehood that Christians are compelled to support Israel no matter what and that if they do not they will face the judgement of God.

The intellectual dishonesty of the Zionists and the lengths they are prepared to go to pervert and distort anything in order to achieve their purpose never ceases to amaze me.

When one couples this with the ‘Nakba’ in 1948 in which 800,000 Palestinians were murdered, displaced and thrown out of their homes, the millions of Palestinians that have been killed, tortured, maimed and illegally detained, including women and children, over the last 76 years by Israeli security forces and fascist  settlers and the ethnic cleansing and mass murder that is going on in Gaza today it beggars belief and makes the stomach turn.

Atrocity after atrocity, horror after horror, lie after lie, injustice after injustice, wickedness after wickedness, impunity after impunity, breach of the law after breach of the law yet Israel and the Zionists remain above the law, untouchable and unaccountable to God or man for their consistently horrendous actions and callous acts.

Permit me to close this contribution with the words of Aiden Hunter

     @AidenHunterX an American commentator.

Two weeks ago he wrote the following on X.

“Rev. Martin Luther (the father of the Protestant movement) once said that the things jews do in secret are far worse than the things we’ve caught them doing. If we had hidden cameras in jewish homes and synagogues, and if we played that footage to the world, I suspect that even the most battle hardened men would find it difficult to watch. In 2016, there were rumors that when the New York Police Department viewed the content of Anthony Weiner’s laptop, it caused seasoned law enforcement officers to vomit and lose sleep. Jews are the only race that has been accused for centuries, independently by people on different continents, of grotesque ritual murder and other horrific deeds that I can’t describe here. The fact that jews always accuse Gentiles of what they themselves do should, therefore, give us serious pause because jews may be signaling exactly they’re doing in the privacy of their homes and synagogues. Only jews could easily and quickly imagine such things, for instance, as 40 babies beheaded, babies cooked in ovens, and pregnant women slashed with their infants ripped out, because jews themselves have been doing exactly those things to Palestinians. There is no doubt in my mind. The number of missing Palestinian children will probably never be known. Nor may we ever know what jews do to them when nobody is around to document it. I promise you this: Martin Luther was right. The things that jews are doing in secret and getting away with are indeed much, much worse than the things we’ve caught them doing.

From engineered famines to assassinations, I’m convinced we’ve only scratched the surface of the monstrous evil that jews have committed all around the world.

As I write this, I can imagine the screams of Gentile children pleading with us to save them. I pray that someday we have the spiritual strength to ditch our comforts and rouse ourselves to action”.

    He went further by writing,

“There are Jews, and there are Jewists. By Jewist, I mean a genetically non-Jewish person whose mind has been colonized by destructive Jewish values and narratives. Most of us have been Jewists to varying degrees, since Jews run our media and entertainment. We grew up consuming the Jew’s poisons and false morality. They told us that degeneracy and decay were good.

They wanted us to fear the label “anti-semite” more than anything else. They wanted us never to notice that they are a distinct race, much less evaluate their behavior. They wanted us to view them as the world’s greatest and most innocent victims. They wanted us to always be fair-minded toward them. Meanwhile they polluted our souls. They exploited our sense of honor to gain unfair advantages over us.

They stripped away our very identity and replaced it with artificial identities that would never pose a threat to them. One could write book length treatments on all of the ways Jews have subverted us- linguistically, racially, psychologically, spiritually. The Jew is the premiere mind colonizer. He has created millions of Jewists in his own image. He put us in a trance with his glowing screens and inserted himself into our minds. Now he must be dislodged. In my youthful anarchist days we used to have a slogan: “kill the cop in your head.” This was a way to remind ourselves to overcome our timidity, brainwashing and domestication. Of course, it was not “cops” controlling our media and reshaping our culture. We never looked at the root cause back then. Today I understand that for all of us Gentiles, no matter what our position is, it is the Jew that must be eliminated from our minds. This is half the battle. Reject the mind- colonizer. Unlearn his programming.

Regain your fighting spirit. Activate your ancestral instincts. Kill the …. in your head”.

  • Bestial Israel has no right to exist

Bestial Israel has no right to exist

    • By Femi Fani-Kayode

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not but do lie — behold, I will make them to come and worship at thy feet and to know that I have loved thee” – Revelations 3:9.

There can be no doubt that the scripture above is referring to the Zionists and fake Jews who  currently make up the State of Israel.

Worse still in John 8:44 Jesus actually referred to these fake Jews as “the children of the devil”.

The Book of Revelations says that they are of “the Synagogue of Satan” and that “they claim to be Jews but are not”.

Jeremiah 23:3-8 compounds the point by telling us that when Jesus returns He Himself will gather the real Israelites back to Israel.

Despite what people believe this great event has not yet taken place and the so-called establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was not the one sanctioned or envisaged by God and the Holy Bible.

This begs the question, if the Israel of today is not the one envisioned and promised by the Holy Bible then who and what exactly is it and for whose purpose was it established, God’s or satan’s?

Who and what is this boastful, vain, calamitous and fatherless monstrosity that boastfully flies the Star of David and that has brought so much havoc to the world?

Who and what is this strange, arrogant, cantankerous, overbearing and belligerent entity that falsely lays claim to being a divine resurrection of the Biblical Promise Land but is instead a torment to its neighbours and an ugly scar to the world?

These are questions for another day but what can be said for now and hardly disputed is the following.

In view of its racist laws and disposition and the monumental carnage and horror that it has visited on the innocent and defenceless women and children of Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon over the last one year and given the heinous crimes that it has subjected the Palestinians to over the last 76 years, the Israel of today can best be described as a vicious, bestial and callous ethno-supremacist, fascist, apartheid state that has no right to exist.

It is also a citadel of religious bigotry and extremism and a repugnant and repulsive repository and sewer of the most insidious and vicious form of Zionist propaganda and Jewish proselysation.

It is an evil and genocidal entity whose intention is to eliminate and eradicate every single Arab man, woman and child in the Arab Gulf and all the nations and territories that exist between Egypt and Iran and forcefully occupy their land.

If Nazi Germany forfeited the right to exist as a consequence of the Holocaust perpetuated against the Jews before and during World War 11 why should Israel not forfeit the same right for doing precisely the same thing to the Palestinians 80 years later?

For those who dispute the fact that apartheid is alive and well in Israel I urge them to consider the words of Gideon Levi, a highly celebrated and respected Israeli journalist, who said the following at the Oxford Union a few years ago.

“I am an Israeli. I was born in Israel. I am even perceived to be an Israeli patriot. I care about Israel. I belong to Israel and I am attached to Israel. Don’t speak about symmetry because there is no symmetry.

I would even suggest there is no conflict. Was there a French-Algerian conflict?

There was a brutal French occupation in Algeria which came to its end. There is no Israeli-Palestinian conflict. There is a brutal Israeli occupation which must come to an end one way or the other. In our dark backyard there is a regime that today is by far one of the most cruel brutal, tyrannies on earth. Not less than this. I know what I say because I covered it for 40 years and this regime cannot but be defined as apartheid. Two peoples live in one piece of  land and one people has all the rights in the world and I am talking only of the occupied territories. Two people share one piece of land there. One people has all the rights in the world, the other people has no rights whatsoever. It looks like apartheid, it talks like apartheid and it is apartheid. Nobody can contradict it: nobody who has been there and nobody who is fair enough to look.

Go to the Jordan valley, see their prosperity in the settlements and then go and see the Palestinians who live there with no electricity, without water, without any rights and then tell me if it’s apartheid or you might invent it another title. When I steal your car I am not in a position to put conditions in returning the car. First of all return the car and the only way to return the car is by giving EQUAL RIGHTS TO THE PALESTINIANS”.

If there are still any righteous and God-fearing men left in Israel, Gideon Levy, who is a regular contributor on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict on CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera, is one of them. It takes courage to swim against the tide and speak truth to power when you are a Jew that still lives in Tel Aviv. Kudos to him.

Many talk about the frightful and horrific events of October 7th when the Al Qassam Brigade, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement known as Hamas, struck a devastating retaliatory blow against their oppressors, killed over 1000 Jews including women and children and abducted over 200 others yet they conveniently forget that Israel struck the first blow in 1948 by killing over 700,000 innocent and defenceless Palestinians, including women and children, and displacing over one million and taking over their homes during the infamous Nakba!

Worst still ever since that time and for the last 76 years hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank have been murdered by Israeli security forces and armed right wing militant settlers, tens of thousands of Palestinian men, women and children have been illegally detained in Israeli prisons whilst Gaza, a tiny strip of land of over 2.5 million Palestinians sandwiched between Israel and the sea was turned into the world’s largest and most degrading concentration camp second only to Auschwitz by the Zionists!

As if that were not harrowing enough let us consider the fact that well over 60,000 civilians, most of whom are still buried below the rubble and three quarters of whom are women and children, have been killed in Gaza by the Israeli Defence Force in the last one year alone !

85,000 tons of explosives have been dropped on Gaza by the Israeli Defence Force in the same period and 75% of buildings and infrastructures have been blown up and flattened.

In addition to that ALL of the universities and 95% of schools have been destroyed together with all but one of the thirteen hospitals. Simply put there is no Gaza left!

Women, children, infants, babies, students, aid workers, refugees, nurses, doctors, teachers, lecturers,  UN officials, hospitals, university campuses, churches, mosques, refugee camps and virtually every other structure and living thing in the strip have not been spared.

A few days ago CNN reported the following:

“According to the Committee to Protect Journalists and Reporters Without Borders at least 128 journalists have been killed since the beginning of the war, nearly all of them Palestinian media workers in Gaza killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes. Some of the journalists died while wearing protective gear identifying them as members of the press. Multiple news organizations and free press groups have accused the Israeli military of deliberately targeting journalists.”

One would have thought that the mass slaughter of their colleagues alone if nothing else would have moved the Western media agencies to report the events in Gaza and now Lebanon in a more factual, balanced and objective manner but they have refused to do so and instead continue to cover up the heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity that Israel is indulging in with such impunity.

Those that applaud the barbaric, inhuman and callous actions of the Zionists in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran forget that after the Zionists have finished killing everyone in the Middle East and establishing their ‘Greater Israel’ at the expense of Arab, Muslim and Christian lives, they will seek to subjugate, destroy and bend the rest of the global South to their will.

This is a challenge that we must prepare for and now is the time to build the necessary global, military and regional alliances to resist and thwart it whenever it comes.

Yet the establishment of a ‘Greater Israel’ is not enough for the Zionists: what they really aspire to achieve is the total and complete capitulation and domination of the entire world, the eradication of all of the great faiths including Islam and Christianity and the enthronement of world Jewry.

Read Also: Tchouameni to captain France against Israel

For them this quest borders on an obsession. It is their ultimate and long term objective and those that doubt it should read the Talmud and the Torah.

They should also read a major literary work known as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion which, contrary to the lie that many Jewish and Western historical revisionists have been peddling and propagating for years in an attempt to cover up what  is clearly an evil intent, was NOT a fake document.

Quite apart from that the unspeakable atrocities that have been committed by the rogue Zionist state over the last one year confirms the assertion that the greatest mistake that the world ever made was to allow the State of Israel to be re-established in 1948.

What was essentially an act of charity and kindness borne out of pity and guilt on the part of the Allied Powers after World War 11 may well be the catalyst to World War 111 today and could lead to the utter destruction of humanity.

This is indeed food for thought.

Going forward many are beginning to question the right of Israel to exist let alone defend herself.

Does an alien invader, an occupier of other people’s land, an ethnic cleanser and a murderous hegemon have the right to continue to rob, subjugate, oppress, butcher and slaughter the indegenous landowners?

Does having white skin and European origins confer on the Ashkazi Jews the right to wreak havoc on the Palestinians, the Arabs and the entire Middle East?

Are the Jews really a master race that are above all others, that are above international law and that can do no wrong?

Was President Emmanuel Macron of France not right when he said that the West should stop supplying arms and lethal weapons to Israel?

Is it not time for the United States of America, who are clearly complicit in Israel’s genocide, to regain its sovereignty and independence from AIPAC, the State of Israel and the Jewish lobby in their country?

Is it not time for them to review their rabidly pro-Israel policy and join the rest of the civilised world?

These are pertinent questions which must be answered at the soonest.

This is especially so given the fact that 80% of Israelis have rejected the idea of a two state solution and believe that the Palestinians are sub-human creatures that deserve to continue to live in subjugation and bondage.

In case we are in any doubt about just how perverse, depraved and out of touch with reality most Americans are when it comes to Israel we should consider the words of Gov. Tim Walz who is the running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming American presidential election.

During the Vice Presidential debate with Senator J. D. Vance last week he said,

“”The expansion of Israel is an absolute necessity for the United States”.

Whilst the civilised world is calling for restraint, a ceasefire, a cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution of the crisis many in America are calling for an expansion of Israel’s borders and the establishment of Netanyahu’s dream of a Greater Israel! That can hardly be the way forward.

Those that still doubt the Zionist quest for a Greater Israel would do well to  consider the words of Bezalel Smoritch, the Israeli Finance Minister, who said the following.

“I openly declare that we want a Jewish state that includes Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon”.

They should also consider the words of Israeli Heritage Minister Amichi Eliyahu who suggested  that a nuclear bomb be dropped on Gaza and that the few Palestinians that may survive it should be driven into the Sinai desert!

Again they should reflect on the words of Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamer Ben Givr, who has been convicted by the Israeli courts on terrorism charges on several occasions and who said,

“My right, my wife’s, my children’s, to roam the roads of Judea and Samaria (meaning the West Bank) are more important than the right of movement of the Arabs. This is the reality and that’s the truth. My right for life comes before their right to movement.”

On other occasions Ben Givr has said even more outrageous things like calling for the storming and destruction of the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem which happens to be Islam’s second most sacred and most famous mosque in order to make way for the building of a Jewish temple on the same spot and he has also called for the summary execution of all Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons in order to make space for others!

On Gaza he said the following,

“We cannot withdraw from the Gaza Strip. Not only do I not rule out Jewish settlement there, I believe it is also an important thing. The war presents an opportunity to concentrate on encouraging the migration of the residents of Gaza. In my view such a policy is correct, just, moral and humane solution”.

He went on to say that of the 2.5 million Palestinians that live in Gaza,  25,000 each should be dispersed and deported to 100 different countries all over the world and any that are left should be thrown into the sea!

One wonders what type of heartless creature this individual is.

Finally the skeptics and naysayers should also ponder on the fact that Israeli military snipers openly and consistently target Palestinian children and babies for elimination in Gaza and they should consider the words of Meirav Ben-Ari, a female Member of the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) who said “the children of Gaza brought this upon themselves” and asserted that they “deserve what they were getting”.

I could list many more examples of the mindless and callous words and disposition of the Zionist leaders which clearly illustrate their desire to wipe out not just the Palestinians but all the Arabs in order to make way for the Greater Israel but for the purposes of this contribution the few that I have cited will suffice.

Needless to say, given their collective mindset, I have no doubt that Oliver Stone, the great American film producer, was absolutely right when he said that having met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on one occassion he had come to the conclusion that he was totally and completely insane.

I have little doubt that we can safely arrive at the same conclusion when we consider the mental and psychological disposition of Smotrich, Ben Givr, Eliyahu, Ben-Ari and virtually every other member of Netanyahu’s cabinet and leading military commanders.

They are all blood-crazed, blood- thirsty psychopaths who are as mad as a hatter and who deserve to be confined to a mental institution!

At this juncture permit me to express my complete and utter disgust at the way in which Israel has conducted itself over the last one year and I make bold to proclaim that a nation of ethnic cleansers, child killers and genocidal maniacs cannot possibly be victorious in any conflict.

It is only a matter of time before they are brought to their knees.

In this respect the words of a BBC reporter reporting from Tel Aviv just a few days ago are instructive. He said,

“No one has hope for the future here. Many professionals are leaving Israel and many residents are going bankrupt. The war is expanding every day and its continuation increases the despair of the Israelis day by day.”

Equally enlightening are the words of leading Israeli political commentators and media houses themselves who have evidently seen the handwriting on the wall and who are living in trepidation of the future and the consequences of the horrendous blood-drenched path that their Prime Minister has chosen to tread.

    Three examples will suffice.

A few days ago Sher Hever, a leading political economist who grew up in Israel, said the following.

“Israel’s genocide in Gaza also threatens its own survival. Any regime that commits genocide also commits suicide. There is no coming back from it and this is what Israelis are seeing for themselves”.

His insight is commendable and second to none.

On their part, Haarezt, which is one of the leading and most influential newspaper houses in Israel wrote the following in its editorial.

“Netanyahu led Israel into the worst year and the worst war in its history. And it’s not even over. History will not judge Benjamin Netanyahu as a righteous crusader leading the West in a holy war against Islamofascism, as he sees himself. Instead it will regard him as the inept politician who blindly led Israel to October 7th and all the debacles that folllowed”.

Finally, in an article titled ‘Israel Takes Its Last Breath’ written a few days ago for Haarezt by Ari Shavit, a famous Zionist columnist, the author penned the following:

“It seems we have passed the point of no return and Israel may no longer be able to end the occupation, stop the colonization, and achieve peace. It seems that it is no longer possible to reform Zionism, save democracy, or unite the people in this country”.

    He goes on,

“There’s no point in living in this country anymore. There’s no point in writing in Haarezt. There’s no point in reading Haarezt. We must do what Rogel Alpher suggested two years ago which is to leave the country. If ‘Israelism’ and Judaism are no longer vital parts of one’s identity and if every Israeli citizen holds a foreign passport not only in a technical sense but also psychologically, it’s over. It’s time to say goodbye to friends and move to San Francisco, Berlin, or Paris”.

    He goes further by saying,

“We must step back and watch the democratic Jewish state sink. Maybe the issue hasn’t been resolved yet. Maybe we haven’t yet passed the point of no return. Maybe there’s still a chance to end the occupation, stop colonization, reform Zionism, save democracy, and divide the land”.

    He concludes by saying,

“It appears that we are dealing with one of the toughest people in history and the only solution is to give them their rights and end the occupation”.

Sher Hever, the Editorial Board of Haarezt and Ari Shavid reflect the thinking and share the fears of millions in Israel today and have said it all.

With sentiments like this being voiced in the apartheid state there may well be hope after all and the darkness that Benjamin Netanyahu represents may well be swept away from power from within.

Let us hope that this is the case because the alternative is a grave one for the State of Israel and may result in her being wiped off the face of the earth.

The truth is that if anyone represents an existential threat to Israel it is not Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, the Arabs, Iran or the Palestinians but rather it is Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet of delusional and psychotic right wing fanatics who are hell bent on provoking a regional war which their nation cannot possibly survive let alone win.

Permit me to conclude with the following.

Giorgus Mitralias, a Greek journalist, a founding member of the Greek Committee Against Debt and a member of the CADTM network wrote the following in an essay titled ‘When Israel’s accomplices accustoms us to a monstrous, heartless and inhuman world’.

    He said,

“Almost a year ago we wrote that one of the aims of Netanyahu and his acolytes was to accustom us to a world that increasingly resembles a jungle where only the law of the strongest reigns and where the worst atrocities against the weakest are permitted! Today, after twelve months of atrocities and crimes that often surpass the imagination, we can say that the Zionist state is accustoming us to something much more serious: perversity, mass sadism and indiscriminate, unrestrained violence against civilians, which are tolerated, recognized and even accepted as “normal” behavior by those above! This bestialises not only those who commit these unspeakable crimes but also all those who tolerate and encourage them, pretending not to see!”

Giorgus has spoken the bitter truth: the world has indeed lost its compassion and humanity.

    May God deliver us all.

  • Are judges, lawyers undermining ACJA provisions?

The Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 provides strict time-lines for criminal trial proceedings and a limited number of adjournments. However, these provisions are rarely complied with. Deputy News Editor JOSEPH JIBUEZE highlights instances of such violations and speaks to experts on the way out.

    Some recommendations

    • Expand magistrates’ courts’ jurisdiction
    • Appoint more judges
    • Provide conducive environment/adequate infrastructure
    • Recruit more prosecutors to minimise workload
    • Provide adequate resources for ACJA implementation
    • Carry out holistic reform of the justice sector
    • Designate more courts to handle only criminal cases
    • Create special corruption courts
    • Amend the constitution give bite to ACJA provisions
    • Deploy technology to speed up court processes
    • Increase funding

A STRONG tap behind the door connecting the judge’s chambers to the courtroom alerted lawyers and litigants that he was ready to sit.

‘Court!’ bellowed the registrar as everyone rose.

Justice Rilwanu Aikawa walked in, took a bow and sat.

A high profile case involving two former ministers was called for trial to begin. But it could not go on. Why?

The second defendant, former Aviation Minister Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, was absent. His lawyer informed the court that his client was “indisposed.”

Rather than adjourn to the following day as required by law, the judge shifted the case for 16 working days.

Fani-Kayode has been on trial with former minister of state (finance) Mrs Nenadi Usman since 2016. They were key members of the Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign Organisation in 2015.  Fani-Kayose was in charge of publicity; Usman was in charge of finance.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned both on June 28, 2016 before Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court in Lagos for alleged money laundering.

However, the case, like several others, is yet to be decided.

This is partly due to non-compliance with Section 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.

Section 396 (3) (4) (5) and (6) of the ACJA provides: “Upon arraignment, the trial of the defendant shall proceed from day-to-day until the conclusion of the trial.

“Where day-to-day trial is impracticable after arraignment, no party shall be entitled to more than five adjournments from arraignment to final judgment provided always that the interval between each adjournment shall not exceed 14 working days.

“Where it is impracticable to conclude a criminal proceeding after the parties have exhausted their five adjournments each, the interval between one adjournment to another shall not exceed seven days inclusive of weekends.

“In all circumstances, the court may award reasonable costs in order to discourage frivolous adjournments.”

A review of the Fani-Kayode/Usman case shows non-compliace with the provisions of Section 396.

They pleaded not guilty to a 17-count charge of laundering about N4.6billion.

They were charged along with former Chairman, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Yusuf Danjuma and a company, Jointrust Dimentions Nigeria Limited.

Midway into the trial before Justice Hassan, Fani-Kayode accused the judge of bias.

He claimed that the judge, being a former Head of EFCC’s Legal Department, would not be fair to him.

Consequently, Justice Hassan, on March 16, 2017, recused himself. Between arraignment and Justice Hassan’s recusal, nearly nine months passed.

On May 15, 2017, Fani-Kayode and his co-accused were re-arraigned before Justice Aikawa.

Rather than ordering day-to-day trial in line with Section 396, Justice Aikawa adjourned until June 7, a period of 16 days working days.

Afterwards, Fani-Kayode challenged the court’s territorial jurisdiction. The development stalled the trial on June 7, 2017 and the application was heard on June 21, 2017.

For over 79 days, no trial was held as the case was adjourned for ruling.

On September 26, 2017, Justice Aikawa refused Fani-Kayode’s prayer to transfer the case to Abuja.

The case has since suffered several other ACJA violations. For instance, on December 5, 2017, Mrs Usman got an adjournment to enable her travel abroad to treat “breast cancer”. The case was adjourned until January 31, 2018, for 42 working days.

On January 31, 2018, Fani-Kayode was absent. His lawyer, Mr Norrison Quakers (SAN), told the court that the defendant complained about “heart-related pain”.

The case was adjourned until February 28, 2018, a period of 23 working days.

Trial held on February 28, February 29, March 1 and March 2, 2018, after which the case was adjourned until June 11, 2018 for 70 working days.

On June 11, the court heard that Mrs Usman filed an application seeking to cite minister of information Lai Mohammed for contempt for publishing her name as a looter.

Meanwhile, the trial could not proceed that day because a pregnant prosecution witness was said to be on bed rest.

Justice Aikawa adjourned until October 2, 2018, a period of 82 days, although the intervening period included the court’s annual long vacation.

Mrs Usman’s lawyer, Chief Ferdinand Orbih (SAN), argued that the application ought to be heard before trial could proceed. On October 2, 2018, the contempt application was heard.

The case was adjourned until November 16, 2018 for ruling. No trial held during the 33 working days in-between.

On November 16, Justice Aikawa dismissed the contempt application against Lai Mohammed.

Twenty-five working days later when the case resumed on January 24, Chief Orbih and Mr Abiodun Owonikoko (SAN) were absent.

The development forced an adjourned until February 4 and 5. The case came up on both days, and was adjourned until February 20 and 21.

On February 21, Mrs Usman was granted permission to travel overseas for medical treatment. The case was adjourned until March 15.

On May 2, the trial was stalled because Danjuma was absent. His lawyer told the court that the defendant collapsed in the bathroom and was hospitalised.

On May 14, EFCC sought to tender some statements made by Fani-Kayode and Usman through a witness, but defence counsel opposed it, contending that they wrote the statements under duress.

The case was adjourned until May 31, but Fani-Kayode was absent that day. He was said to be “indisposed”.

Justice Aikawa adjourned until June 24, 2019 for 16 working days. That day, he dismissed the objections and adjourned until July 4 for continuation of trial.

On July 4, after an EFCC investigator Shehu Shuaibu testified, Justice Aikawa adjourned until October 29, 2019 for continuation of trial.

The court began its annual long vacation on July 8, and resumed on September 16.

Fani-Kayode and Usman’s trial will resume 32 working days after the court’s vacation ended.

Yet, without a final judgment, the case has dragged on for 829 working days.

    Is section impracticable?

Legal experts have attributed the non-compliance with the ACJA provision to a number of factors, such as docket congestion, and insufficient number of judges and prosecutors.

Former Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen had directed heads of courts to designate some courts to handle solely criminal cases.

But it was observed that while a few judges handle most of the corruption cases, such courts are still burdened with commercial and civil cases.

A former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), believes that day-to-day hearing of cases is not practicable.

He has been involved in several high profile criminal cases, and led the team that represented former Chief Justice Onnoghen at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

He said ACJA does not take into consideration Nigeria’s infrastructure and human resource challenges.

He said: “While promulgating the ACJA, the National Assembly, in my humble view, did not consider the realities of our legal and court environment.”

He said the National Assembly adopted the Lagos State version of the law without soberly reflecting on whether it could work in Nigeria.

“How do we expect a judge who has a minimum of 30 cases on his cause-list in one day – both civil and criminal – to comply with the unrealistic provisions of Section 396(3)(4)(5) of the ACJA?

“Can the judge turn himself to the Biblical Joshua who commanded both the sun and moon from moving until he completed his assignment? Are the other criminal and civil cases before the judge not equally important?

“Do we have enough judges on ground to implement these grandiose provisions? Are the courtrooms available?

“Note that most of the courtrooms where Nigerian judges sit to administer justice are not good for human habitation.

“Even if the courtrooms are available, what of other wherewithal, including regular electricity supply, audio recording of court proceedings, security personnel, etc?” Olanipekun asked.

    The numbers

No fewer than 116, 623 cases are pending in the 36 divisions of the Federal High Court as at June 2019. They include 37,228 civil cases, 30,529 criminal cases, 33,564 motions and 15,302 fundamental rights cases.

There are 10,108 cases pending in the Lagos Division alone as at June 2019. Twelve judges sit in the Division.

They are Justices John Tsoho (Acting Chief Judge, Court One), Mojisola Olatoregun (Court Two), Abdullah Liman (Court Three), Saliu Saidu (Court Four), Ayokunle Faji (Court Five) and Rilwanu Aikawa (Court Six).

The rest are Maureen Onyetenu (Court Seven), Chukwujekwu Aneke (Court Eight), Oluremi Oguntoyibo (Court Nine), Chuka Obiozor (Court 10), Nicholas Oweibo (Court 11) and Muslim Hassan (Court 12).

Annual returns of cases at the Lagos Division as at June 2019 shows that there are 191 pending cases in Court One, including 56 civil cases, 37 criminal cases, 84 motions and 14 fundamental human rights matters.

In Court Two, 249 cases are pending, including 120 civil suits, 36 criminal matters and 13 fundamental human rights actions.

In Court Three, 702 cases are pending: 409 civil, 146 criminal, 18 motions and 129 fundamental rights cases.

Court Four has 866 pending cases, of which 357 are civil, 144 criminal, 252 motions and 113 human rights matters.

Court Five has 1,452 cases, comprising civil, 199; criminal, 243; motion, 833 and fundamental human rights, 186.

Court Six has 1,260 pending cases. Civil cases are 424; criminal, 296; fundamental human rights, 307 and motion, 233.

Court Seven has 1,602 pending cases, including civil, 551; criminal, 147; motion, 561 and fundamental rights, 343.

In Court Eight, a total of 714 cases are pending, comprising 84 civil actions; 77 criminal cases, 534 motions and 19 fundamental rights cases.

In Court Nine, 839 cases are pending, including 618 civil actions, 122 criminal matters, one motion and 98 fundamental human rights suits.

Court 10 has 508 pending cases. They include 189 civil cases, 114 criminal matters, 204 motions and one fundamental rights case.

In Court 11, there are 1,215 pending cases, of which 94 are civil, 102 are criminal, 958 are motions and 61 are on fundamental human rights.

Court 12 has 510 pending cases. They include civil (167), criminal (56), motion (192) and fundamental human rights (95).

The Chief Judge performs mainly administrative functions from the court’s headquarters in Abuja and does not sit daily in Lagos.

Justice Onyetenu was deployed to the Election Petition Tribunal, meaning all the cases before her must wait until she returns.

Court sources say day-to-day hearing of criminal cases is not realistic considering the number of cases each judge deals with.

For instance, in Justice Aikawa’s court where there are 1,260 cases (the third highest), it will take him nearly three months to hear all the cases, and he must hear at least 18 cases per day.

Approximately 85 cases are said to be filed in the Lagos Division’s registry weekly. In effect, about 2,380 cases are added to the already congested docket monthly.

Assuming the cases are assigned to the judges equally, it means each judge will have over 200 cases added to their docket monthly.

Deputy Registrar in charge of Administration and Litigation, Christine Ende, confirmed the figures, but referred our correspondent to the information unit.

The information unit explained why it is difficult for judges to comply with Section 396.

It said: “The constitution allows for a maximum of 100 judges for the Federal High Court. Presently, the court has 83 judges.

“Many factors are considered in the appointment of judges, such as housing, offices, vehicles, etc. The court’s budgetary allocation has been going down due to yearly cuts.

“The Lagos Division has greater work. The ongoing construction of 20 courtrooms in Lagos has not been completed due to poor funding.

“However, to achieve speedy trial, there is need for a constitutional amendment. Don’t forget that the ACJA 2015 spells out how criminal cases should be conducted.

“Some lawyers rely on the constitutional provision for fair hearing to delay cases. Sometimes, when judges stand firm, they are accused of bias.”

    Other instances of violations

In several high profile criminal cases, recourse is never made to Section 396 during adjournments.

Such breaches were also observed in the trial of former Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Adesola Amosu.

He is on trial with former Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Director of Finance and Budget Air Commodore Olugbenga Gbadebo and former NAF Chief of Accounts and Budgeting Air Vice Marshal Jacob Adigun.

EFCC arraigned them on June 26, 2016 for allegedly converting N21billion from NAF to their personal use. They pleaded not guilty.

Plea bargain talks failed and trial started before Justice Mohammed Idris, but it did not hold day-to-day as required by the ACJA.

Prosecuting counsel Rotimi Oyedepo, on October 24, 2016, accused the defence of delaying the trial.

Defence counsel Norrison Quakers (SAN) once sought an adjournment because he needed to cross-examine a witness based on documents in EFCC’s possession.

When Oyedepo offered to produce the documents in court to save time, the defence counsel refused to accept them, insisting they preferred to apply formally to EFCC after paying the prescribed fees.

Justice Idris adjourned until November 23, 2016, a period of 22 working days.

After a witness testified on December 15, 2016, the court adjourned until January 25 and 26, 2017, a period 24 working days excluding the week-long Christmas break.

Justice Idris, after the January 26 proceedings, adjourned until February 22, which was 19 working days.

Justice Idris made effort to ensure that trial held for at least three consecutive days before another long adjournment.

Following Justice Idris’ elevation to the Court of Appeal in June 2018, the case was re-assigned to Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke.

On October 15, 2018, the defendants were re-arraigned, but there was no day-to-day trial afterwards.

After a witness testified on March 7, Justice Aneke adjourned until April 15 and 16 – a period of 27 working days.

After the April 16 proceedings, Justice Aneke adjourned until May 22 and 23, which came to another 27 working days.

On May 22, defence counsel informed the court that plea bargain talks had resumed.

Justice Aneke adjourned until July 4 “for report of effort at plea bargaining”. The adjournment interval was 31 working days.

On July 4, Oyedepo and defence counsel traded blames over their inability to hold the plea bargaining talks.

Justice Aneke further adjourned until October 9, which comes to 18 working days after the court’s September 16 resumption date.

In all, about 103 working days have been wasted since the case was re-assigned to Justice Aneke due to failure to comply with the day-to-day trial requirement.

    Consequences of violations:

Due to the failure to comply with Section 396, some cases which began after the law was enacted in 2015 have been transferred to new judges to begin de novo (afresh) due to elevation or transfer of judges.

Observers believe such loss of time could have been avoided had the trials been held day-to-day.

Cases involving former Federal Capital Territory Minister Jumoke Akinjide,

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose suffered such fate. Witnesses will be recalled before the new judges.

It has also been observed that judges rarely award costs as required by the law to deter frivolous adjournments.

Joseph Otteh, Convener of Access to Justice, a leading NGO in justice sector, said the provisions of Section 396 have effectively become “nearly dead letter laws.”

He noted that some defendants are adept at stretching the trial process to breaking point by exploiting the procedure loopholes.

Otteh said: “As a practitioner, I’ve observed that these limitations are hardly referenced by courts and counsel in determining the next adjournments.”

According to him, it is difficult to take multiple witnesses daily when the docket is filled with other cases.

Otteh added: “We must make it more difficult to bring frivolous charges against people. This can help reduce dockets.

“We’ve got to eliminate man-made factors – courts not sitting because judges are attending a valedictory session, or are mourning a colleague or representing the Chief Judge at some ceremonial function, etc,”

    A prosecutor’s perspective

Oyedepo said excess caseload and lack of cooperation of the defence with the prosecution are stumbling blocks.

He believes that attitudinal change is needed.

To illustrate, the Supreme Court, in a June 9, 2017 judgment on an appeal by former PDP National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh, validated Section 306 of the ACJA, which prohibits the stay of proceedings in criminal trials when there are interlocutory appeals on rulings.

Oyedepo asked: “Can you imagine that a legal practitioner who has the interest of his nation at heart will file an application for stay of proceedings, notwithstanding the Supreme Court decision in Metuh vs FRN, just to stultify trial?”

The EFCC lawyer does not absolve prosecutors of blame; some, he said, fail to put their houses in order.

“This often manifest when the prosecution serves the defence team with additional proof of evidence or amended charge on the date a matter is fixed for trial. If we agree to change our attitude, then we can overcome these challenges.”

Oyedepo believes more courts should be designated to handle only criminal cases as done by the Lagos State High Court.

He underscored the needed for an amendment of Section 396 to give it teeth.

“I will plead that our judges should do more in ensuring compliance with the provisions of Section 396. I will also recommend a slight amendment to Section 396.

“There should be a legislative intervention allotting number of days within which to conclude a criminal proceeding.

“This was introduced in the Electoral Act and it has being working. If it can work in electoral proceedings, then it can work in criminal proceedings too,” Oyedepo said.

    EFCC: No complaints

Oyedepo prosecutes most ongoing high profile cases in Lagos. Aside Fani-Kayode/Usman and Amosu/others, he also prosecutes Rickey Tarfa (SAN), Paul Usoro (SAN), Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, musician Naira Marley, former ministers Jumoke Akinjide and Prof Abubakar Suleiman and their co-accused.

He is also the prosecutor in the cases involving Atiku Abubakar’s son-in-law Abdullahi Babalele and his co-accused, former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Prof Maurice Iwu, former President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide Waripamo Owei-Dudafa, former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Managing Director Patrick Akpobolokemi and his co-accused, former Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) Managing Director Ibrahim Abdulsalam, among others.

Yet, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren does not think Oyedepo is overworked.

On whether the commission plans to increase the number of prosecutors in Lagos, he said the anti-graft agency has no problem prosecuting cases efficiently with the available manpower.

He said: “Has Oyedepo complained to you that he is overworked? The choice of counsel to handle specific case is the prerogative of the Commission.

“All EFCC cases in court are being prosecuted diligently within the limits of our resources.”

    Making Section 396 work

Rule of Law Advisor to the President, Office of the Vice President, Dr Fatima Waziri-Azi, said it is not only full court dockets of judges that make the section impracticable, but congested dairies of prosecutors.

To effectively implement Section 396, she said there is the need to establish special courts to hear only corruption cases.

“The creation of special courts is a common phenomenon all over the world and the advantages include increased efficiency and greater expertise.

“Rather than have one judge hear different cases, the establishment of special courts will help streamline the judicial process,” she said.

Waziri-Azi said for day-to-day trial to be achieved, more judges and prosecutors are needed; court facilities must also be improved.

“Clearly, judges as well as prosecutors are over-burdened with cases. As such, the appointment of more judges will ease their burden, which in turn will free up the dockets.

“The recruitment of more prosecutors would help minimise the caseload on individual prosecutors.

“In addition, it also means improved welfare packages for judges, court personnel and prosecutors as well as improved court facilities,” she said.

Waziri-Azi suggested that Magistrates’ Courts should be empowered to handle some other classes of cases to reduce the burden on the high courts.

Human rights lawyer Jiti Ogunye said the ACJA stayed for nine years in the National Assembly before it was enacted in 2015. Stakeholders had ample time to ponder on its provisions but did not, he noted.

He was, however, of the view that inadequate resources made the section’s implementation difficult.

“For instance, the law was made on the assumption that judges will be sufficient in terms of number, and in terms of judges-cases ratio,” Ogunye said.

The lawmakers, he added, also anticipated that there will be adequate number of prosecutors to deal with cases efficiently and speedily.

Ogunye said: “How many prosecutors does EFCC have and how many cases does each of them handle?

“If you’re to check the statistics, you will be shocked that it is not five cases to a prosecutor.

“They’re charging people daily, but they’re not hiring, training and retraining prosecutors.”

The solution? The conditions must be right for Section 396 to work.

Ogunye said: “The ideal of speedy criminal justice administration is not restricted to our jurisdiction. It’s a global ideal.

“But the difference is that they (developed countries) have the resources to investigate efficiently, to prosecute effectively and to adjudicate seamlessly.

“Until we put our act together, we’ll have fine provisions in our laws, but non-compliance.”

He does not think that establishing special courts will be the magic wand. He wondered whether there will be special courts for banditry, kidnapping and other crimes.

“In jurisdictions where corruption cases are handled with dispatch, which special courts do they have?

“I am calling for a holistic rethinking of our criminal justice system, enhancing our investigation resources, our prosecutorial tools, and our adjudicatory processes, because it’s a chain.”

Like Ogunye, Chief Olanipekun believes Nigeria’s justice system needs an overhaul.

“All we need to do is to revamp or restructure the entire administration of justice architecture in this country, both civil and criminal, so as to pave way for a smooth and speedy justice delivery system,” he said.

The SAN faulted Section 396, saying it was not only well thought-out; some of its provisions are, to him, unconstitutional.

Olanipekun said: “Nobody should be blamed for the non-compliance with the unrealistic and unattainable provisions of Section 396.

“I beg to disagree that the illusory provisions are being breached. Rather, my position is that they cannot be implemented. No good law enacts what is impossible.

“The National Assembly should go back to the drawing board to make a realistic law for the administration of criminal justice within its own sphere of influence or constitutional competence.”

Justice Tsoho, speaking at an event to mark the beginning of the 2019/2020 legal year, underscored the need to appoint more judges.

The Chief Judge said: “About 116,623 cases are pending in the Federal High Court; 16,144 cases were filed in this quarter alone in which 12,692 have been disposed of.

“It is obvious that the judges were over-burdened with work in the last legal year. We, therefore, need to engage more judicial officers to help out.

“However, it does appear that there was no provision for appointment of judges in the current budget.

“I will make effort to discuss with the relevant stakeholders to see to the possibility of facilitating the recruitment of more judicial officers in the course of the year.”
