Why money can change man’s character, by Femi Jacobs

Actor Femi Jacobs has shared his thoughts on how people change after acquiring wealth.

According to him, it’s unrealistic to expect individuals not to change when money comes into the picture.

Jacob argued that only self-righteous people hold this expectation.

He said that even the most well-intentioned individuals transform when they accumulate significant wealth.

The actor cited biblical references, noting that God acknowledges money (Mammon) as a rival for human affection.

Jacob emphasised that this truth is often denied, but ultimately, wealth can alter one’s perspective and behaviour.

“Why do people always expect that people wouldn’t change when money enters the picture? That’s self-righteousness at its peak. Even you won’t remain the same after you make a certain size of fortune. I know we would argue otherwise strongly. But this is the truth, so much so that the only competition for Man’s heart God knows HE has is nothing else but money (mammon)”, he wrote on X.

Shuga: Bayray Mcnwizu, Femi Jacobs in mock wedding

KING of gigs, Shuga of Shuga Band fame, has just shot the video of his single, Married Today.

Going by the theme of the song, the video shoot atmosphere was dramatic, as popular actress, Bayray Mcnwizu got married to fast rising actor, Femi Jacobs in a mock wedding while A-list comedian, Tee-A was the compere for the night.

The video also featured celebrities such as MC Abbey, Princess and a host of others as guest artistes in the video which was shot by Filmboys, the directors behind Waje’s No be You.

On the expansive wedding setting for the video, Shuga said he needs to drive home the theme of the song. “Despite the very danceable beat and feel of the song, Married Today is still a wedding song. A song that talks about marriage from the starting-point of wedding so it will not be doing the song any form of justice if the video isn’t about proper wedding. We expended a lot of energy, goodwill and resource to create this wedding atmosphere and the icing on the cake is getting two proper actors who can act to play the role of groom and bride. A real wedding couldn’t have been better than this and the most fitting song for any wedding right now is Married Today,’ he said.

According to Maria Tofowomo, vice president of 800 Records, the label under which Shuga is signed described the video as colourful. “The song, Married Today is a descriptive song hence the need to have a colourful video with a proper wedding of sort. The director is creative and has proven himself with Waje’s video. He came up with creative ideas and they meet with our own ambitious desire for Shuga’s video so what we have is synergy of sort.”

Married Today is a new wedding song that has gained huge popularity within a short time. It’s a classic-like feel good song produced by reputable K-solo.
