Posting pictures on his Instagram the billionaire made the revelation.

“Pleasure having world-renowned singer @Seal and his son Henry over for dinner at our home yesterday evening,” Otedola wrote.

In the picture, DJ Cuppy, Otedola, Seal and his son, Henry are seen at the dinner table.

Last week, pictures of the British born singer of Nigerian origin and his son when they visited Femi Kuti at the New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja, Lagos first surfaced when Femi Kuti tweeted it.

  • Impersonation: Otedola suspends Twitter account

Billionaire oil magnate Femi Otedola has allegedly suspended his Twitter account until he is verified due to multiple attempts to impersonate on the platform.

Announcing his move, Otedola wrote, “Good day to the online community. Due to the fraudulent and disingenuous exploitation of my persona on this platform, tweets from me on this account are suspended forthwith until I am verified by Twitter. Thank you. F.Ote$

The decision came following a tweet by a fake account commiserating with victims of the recent Lagos Tanker Explosion Incident.

The impersonator promised cash gifts to families in his name and said that the tanker involved in the accident was his.

This prompted Otedola to post a statement on the account before suspending tweeting activities.
He joined the micro blogging platform in February 2018.

However the handle @realFemiOtedola started activities in May, a few weeks after his debut on Instagram.

Since the Billionaire announced his presence on social media, twitter users have witnessed tweets from fake accounts who were all claiming to be the real Femi Otedola.

Barely five days after joining popular social media platform, he had to send a warning to Nigerians to avoid falling into the traps of his impersonators.

On May 15, Otedola narrated how he blocked an impersonator, who tried cloning his account.

  • Femi Otedola demonstrates love for mum

Femi Otedola demonstrates love for mum

For billionaire owner of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola, there is no place like home. And home, to him, is not any of his multi-billion naira mansions scattered around the world or any of his businesses that are raking in millions on a daily basis. Home is the feeble but welcoming arms of his mother within which he can always find warmth and comfort.

Otedola is a “Mummy’s boy” and he is damn proud to be so called. The wealthy head honcho of Forte Oil walking arm in arm with his mother, Lady Doja Otedola, through the family’s Odoragunshin community in Epe Local Government Area, Lagos State, is always a sight to behold. It is like the umbilical cord has not been broken as Otedola treats his mum like a fragile piece of rare historical artefact that must be handled with care and treasured beyond words.

Lady Doja, widow of Sir Michael Otedola of blessed memory and first lady of Lagos State in the Third Republic, still treats Femi like a kid, even though he already has adult children of his own. The tie between them is one that transcends age and the vagaries of time and circumstance. Whether it be taking her out for expensive shopping or for overseas vacations or planting a chaste kiss on her lips in a powerful statement of her significance, Otedola certainly knows how to take care of his mum.

Dangote, Otedola, others converge on Abuja for Dogara @ 50

The busy roads of Abuja parted like the Red Sea last Sunday as the blue blood of high society converged on the capital city for the beginning of the golden jubilee celebration of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Dogara.

The spectacle of a hundred thunderclaps would hardly compare to the majesty on display as power brokers vied with dons and doyens of the private sector for bragging rights in a novelty football match that kicked off the birthday festivities. It was a sight to behold as deities among men huffed, puffed and whooped like mere mortals, while other deep-pocket spectators momentarily lost their heads to the rush of the occasion.

On hand to chair the august event was the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, ably assisted by the likes of Forte Oil boss Femi Otedola, Sam Iwuajoku and Oscar Onyema. Also in attendance were Senate President Bukola Saraki and Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, among others. The proceeds of the novelty match will be channelled into helping internally displaced persons in the Northeast.

  • A SPECIAL PUBLICATION ON NIGERIA’S BUSINESS ICONS(1):Femi Otedola: Oiling the wheel of Nigeria’s economy

A SPECIAL PUBLICATION ON NIGERIA’S BUSINESS ICONS(1):Femi Otedola: Oiling the wheel of Nigeria’s economy

Forte Oil Plc’s push to further consolidate its emergence as the leading diversified energy services provider with an ever-expanding portfolio, covering Petroleum Marketing, Upstream Services, Power Generation and now Green Energy Solutions in line with its 2017 strategy to be present along the energy value chain, while strengthening the legacy product lines is now more than ever a reality.

The  vision to be the foremost integrated energy solutions’ provider in Nigeria and the need to diversify power segment, is being actualized with the completion and certification of the overhaul at the Geregu Power Plant (GPP) and foray into the growing green energy space.

The N33.4billion Geregu Power Plant  (GPP) overhaul carried out by the Original Equipment Manufacturers, Siemens AG of Germany, is especially dear to Forte Oil’s heart and shows commitment to power sufficiency as a major contribution to the Nigerian economy. The overhaul increased the installed capacity of the GPP to 435megawatts from the 414Mw when Forte Oil took over in 2013.

The multiplier effect of the overhaul includes up-to-date knowledge and technology transfer for the Plant’s Technical Team, Turbines in pristine condition and availability of the installed capacity with all three installed turbines in working condition for the first time since it took over the GPP.

The entry into the Green Energy space via its recently launched solar powered offering, FO Solar, has two drivers which are to reduce the carbon footprint of the existing self-generation alternatives and provide a maintenance-free option. This scalable option promises to revolutionise the backup power market with the ability to support diverse domestic and commercial applications.

Forte Oil continues to explore customer-centric processes which have led to the development of the FO-App which is available on android (Google Play Store), or iOS (Apple App Store) with end-to-end product ordering and delivery capabilities for retail and commercial customers. The FO App conveniently links the FO Advantage Card, a card that has the dual capability of being a debit and loyalty card.

Forte Upstream Services Limited, has benefited from the upswing in Exploration and Production (E&P) activities with various term contracts commencing in the chemicals and drilling fluids blending and supply, laboratory, specialised procurement and warehousing services. This is due, in no small part, to expanding internal capabilities and resolve to exceed the usually high standards expected in the very competitive Upstream Petroleum Sector, while at the same time taking advantage of the Local Content Policy backed up with the strong Forte brand.

It is important to emphasise that despite the storms in the downstream business, Forte Oil’s petroleum marketing subsidiary continues to weather the storm by maintaining its market share of fuels and lubricants.

The Lubricants business is still an income driver and this was further strengthened in 2017 with its appointment as the distributors of CHEVTEX International lubricants in Nigeria, in addition to the popular Visco 2000, Super V and other Forte branded lubricants.

The Management and Staff continue to strive for meaningful ways to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy and improving the quality of life of its customers under the strategic direction of the Board of Directors led by the Chairman, Mr. Femi Otedola, CON
