    Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, stars of erotic romance film “Fifty Shades of Grey, have requested a pay raise for the sequels; Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades free.

    The 25-year-old actress and 32-year-old actor were previously paid $250,000 each for the record breaking ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

    Reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the duo are trying to negotiate a seven-figure pay raise for the sequels.

    Why we banned Fifty Shades of Grey, by Censors Board

    The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), has cited ‘public interest’ as reason it has banned a foreign film,Fifty Shades of Grey, from Nigerian cinemas.

    The film, which had earlier started showing in Nigeria, has also been outlawed by the movie regulatory agency of Kenya.

    In a statement released at the weekend, the NFVCB further reaffirmed its resolve to attend to submitted movies with utmost dispatch and the display of due diligence in its role as the industry gatekeeper.

    According to the agency, a total of 23 movies were approved in December, 2014 and January, 2015.

    It explained that out of the movies approved for home viewership in December, 2014, English Language productions topped the list with five films while Bini Language films were four, followed by two Yoruba films and one Hausa Language film. Three of the combined NFVCB approvals were rated “15” while the rest got the “18” rating.

    In January, 2015, English Language movies were 10 out of the 11 approved movies, leaving one for Yoruba Language category. Three of the films were rated ‘15’ while the rest had ‘18’ classification.

    Among the approved English Language movies for the two months under review are: Here We StandThe Invisible Bond,Twins ApartMy Brother, My EnemyAdadioranmaThe Baby Must Not Die and Second Burial.

    The Bini Language movies include,  Ogue Nozutu and Odumamwen while the Yoruba Language movies include Ayo Igbalaand Aye KejiBugu da Kari is the only Hausa Language movie.

    All approved movies, the NFVCB said, are to be released with appropriate consumer advisory regarding imitable technique, strong language, violence, drug abuse and fetish rituals.

    Fifty Shades of Grey: Jamie Dornan debunks exit rumours

    Responding to the recent reports that Jamie Dornan might be leaving the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise, due to his wife’s discomfort with the sex scenes, the actor has released a statement to the contrary.

    “Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film,” his rep told ABC News.

    The film has made more than $400 million worldwide thus far since being released just two weeks ago, according to USA Today.

    In the hit BDSM movie, Dornan, 32, stars as Christian Grey, the man whose interests “are very singular in nature” and include on-screen bondage with co-star Dakota Johnson. Dornan married his wife, Amelia Warner in 2013 and the two welcomed their first child last year.

    Since the rumors, Universal Pictures had no official comment on the report, adds USA Today.

    NFVCB bans Fifty Shades of Grey

    A few days after its cinema release, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), has banned the movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, from showing in Nigerian cinemas.

    The much-talked-about flick which showed in most major cinemas in Nigeria in its first week of release has been removed from list of movies showing in Nigeria cinemas, in compliance with the directive of the regulatory authority.

    Only recently, the Kenyan Film and Classification Board banned the film which has been rated as one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

    The movie is a 2015 American erotic romantic drama film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson with screenplay by Kelly Marcel. The film stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, a college graduate who begins a sadomasochistic relationship with young business magnate Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan).

    The film premiered at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival on February 11 and had a wide release on February 13 by Michael De Luca Productions, Trigger Street Productions, Focus Features and Universal Pictures.

    After premiering at a fan screening in New York City on February 6, Taylor-Johnson announced that two sequels will be made, with the first to be released in 2016.
