  • Walking in financial dominion!

Welcome to June! I believe we must have had some definite encounters with the wisdom from above all through the month of May 2018. I also believe that God must have listed many of us among the highflyers of His Kingdom through diverse encounters with the Word. This month we shall examine how to be blessed and also be a blessing.  However, this week, we shall focus on Walking in Financial Dominion!

We discover from scriptures, among others, that every child of God is ordained to walk in financial dominion.  As it is written: For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9; see also Deuteronomy 8:18; 3 John 1:2). It is important to note that the end-time church is ordained for financial dominion. As it is written: And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2-3). In addition, according to Haggai, God will be unleashing financial fortune upon the end time church.  It is also written: The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house (end time church) shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts… (Haggai 2:8-9). Furthermore, God swore to Abraham, in response to the attempted sacrifice of his son on mount Moriah: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice (Genesis 22:17-18). If, according to scriptures, every child of God is a seed of Abraham; then, we are ordained to walk in financial dominion (Galatians 3:29).

Finally, prominent among the blessings of the law is financial dominion. As it is written: …and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath… (Deuteronomy 28:12-13).

How then can we walk in Financial Dominion?

    • Be Born Again: Every blessing in the Kingdom can only flow to us when we are saved. In other words, the salvation of our souls is the access key to the realm of financial dominion. The Bible says that Christ was slain to receive for us power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing (Revelation 5:12).
    • Engage the Covenant of Seedtime and Harvest: The covenant of Seedtime and Harvest is a sure way to our financial dominion. The Scripture says: …He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Genesis 8:20-22, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Philippians 4:15-19). From the scripture above, giving is the biblical gateway to financial dominion (Acts 20: 35; Luke 6:38). That is why we must not see our giving and offerings as financial donations to the church, but as spiritual transactions for provoking divine supplies among others (2 Corinthians 9: 6-8,11; Philippians 4:19). However, it is important to understand that the Kingdom of God is that of order. Thus, in order to enjoy financial blessings, our offerings must be sown in this order.
    • Tithing: This is the giving of 10 percent of the totality of our earnings to God which is the master key to a world of financial fortune. This does not belong to us; it is God’s portion which He must not be denied of (Malachi 3:10). We must understand that any sacrifice can bring us to any level of blessing, but only our tithes can preserve it.
    • Worship Offering: We are admonished not to come into God’s presence empty-handed. It is written: …and they shall not appear before the Lord empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee (Deuteronomy 16:16-17).
    • Kingdom Promotion Giving: This is giving for the furtherance of the Kingdom. The Bible says: Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33; see also Haggai 1:3-14).
    • Giving to Biological Parents: The Word of God instructs us to honour our parents in the Lord that it might be well with us; financial blessing inclusive. When we do, we provoke the release of blessings from their hearts like Isaac poured his heart out to bless Jacob (Genesis 27:3/ 25-29; Exodus 20:12).

In conclusion, Christ, our perfect example was and is the Master Giver. He gave and gave until He gave His life; a living sacrifice indeed! This must be why He commanded such a dimension of financial dominion while he walked the planet earth (Matthew 17:26-27; Mark 4:39-41, 14:13-16; John 13:27-29). However, as mentioned earlier, new birth is the only access we have to walking in financial dominion. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Understanding Financial Prosperity, Breaking Financial Hardship, Covenant Wealth and Hidden Covenants of Blessing. • Unveiling the gateways to financial dominion!

We discover from scriptures that covenant practice is the platform for empowerment into realms of financial fortune. That is, God empowers us for wealth on the basis of His covenant. As it is written: But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day (Deuteronomy 8:18).

It is also important to note that God’s financial dominion plan anchors on the covenant of seed time and harvest, which connotes giving and receiving. This covenant is as reliable as the covenant of day and night. That means, as the day and night keep changing positions and the sun and moon continue to rule the day and night, this covenant remains in force (Psalms 89:34; Jeremiah 33:20-21, 25-26; Philippians 4:15).

As we all know, a covenant is a deal enacted by God based on well-defined terms and sealed with an oath, committing God’s integrity to make good His promise. God is simply saying, “I have these provisions for you and if you are interested, these are the conditions to meet. As you meet the conditions, you have committed my integrity to perform. Here are my instructions if you are interested in becoming a financial giant, which is your heritage in redemption.” That is why we call the Bible Old and New Testaments which means Old and New Covenants (Job 22:21-26; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Revelation 5:12).

However, for every provision in redemption, God has set up conditions that commit Him for delivery. Therefore, we can only commit God on His terms, not ours.

    What are His terms?

The covenant of financial fortune demands that we engage in the mystery of consistent tithing. This is because tithing brings us under an open heaven that we will not have enough room to contain. It is written:

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts (Malachi 3:10-11).

Until we give God His tenth, we will never have our needs met. Any believer who is not a tither will end up a beggar; for the blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22; see also Deuteronomy 28:1-3; Isaiah 55:8-9; Zechariah 5:3-4).

Also, this covenant demands that we minister to the needy around us as engraced by God. The Bible says: He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. (Proverbs 28:27; see also Proverbs 19:17).

Job became the richest man in his days by taking advantage of the covenant of giving and receiving, and ministering to the needy (Job 29:4-181 Timothy 6:17-19).

Let’s recognise that we either engage the covenant of abundance or we are not candidates for God’s financial fortune plan. This is because it is obeying God’s commandments that puts us in command of His blessings. We must, therefore, take fast hold of instructions on any subject of interest to us because that is our guarantee for taking delivery of such provisions. God’s plans are authentic and His purposes are established in heaven forever. All we need is to position ourselves through obedience, thereby taking delivery of our portion (Genesis 12:1-3; Deuteronomy 5:32-33; 1 Samuel 15:22; Job 36:11; Proverbs 4:11-13).

One great mystery behind financial fortune is having Kingdom advancement dreams. For the financial giant in us to come alive, we must be big-time Kingdom dreamers. Without a Kingdom dream, we are not candidates for financial fortune. This is because God’s financial resources are primarily entrusted to promote His Kingdom. As it is written: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

The Bible records that the fortune Israel encountered in Egypt was for the purpose of building the tabernacle in the wilderness. As they used their resources to build the tabernacle, God began to multiply their gold supernaturally. However, when they ignored God’s Kingdom, they experienced financial stress. We must recognise that Kingdom wealth is an entrustment, not an achievement. That is, it is entrusted to people God can trust to fulfil His purpose with it. It is written: If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (Luke 16:11; see also Exodus 35:4-5, 16, 22; Haggai 1:5-11)

When we identify a cause in the Kingdom and invest in it with delight, we access God’s favour which makes us triumphant where others struggle. Therefore, the bigger our Kingdom dreams, the larger the coast of our financial fortune.

Remember the story of the elephant that consumes 140 pounds of straws a day and discharges 100 pounds of manure per day. To arrive at the elephant phase of financial fortune, you must have a discharge avenue to match. God does not tempt anybody with evil, He knows how much your heart is willing to discharge. As such, He will not load you with more blessings than you can discharge (Luke 12:48; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

However, it is important for us to understand that God is the giver of Kingdom dreams and accepting Jesus as our Lord, and is the first step to accessing God’s plan and purposes for our lives. This is what being born again is all about. Are you born again? If you haven’t given your life to Jesus Christ, you can say this prayer and you will be born again: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

  • Walking in wisdom for financial dominion!

Walking in wisdom for financial dominion!

We understand from the scriptures that wisdom is the custodian of wealth (Proverbs 8:18-21). That is why, ‘the wiser the wealthier’, is a common trend in scriptures, as exemplified in the following examples:

    • ABRAHAM: He was a man who walked with God and the Bible says he that walks with the wise shall be wise (Genesis 17:1, Proverbs 13:20). Abraham was a wise and wealthy man and the Bible records that he was very rich in cattle, silver and gold(Genesis 13:2).
    • DAVID: He was said to be as wise as an angel. As a result of his level of wisdom, David commanded financial dominion and he lived in the realm of over and above (2 Samuel 14:20, 1 Chronicles 29:3-6).
    • SOLOMON: He was the wisest in Bible history and also the wealthiest (1 Kings 3:12-13). Solomon loved the Lord and He lavished him with the Spirit of wisdom as he requested, thereby making him wiser and wealthier than all men in his days (1 Kings 4:22-28).

Remember, God, the all wise God is the custodian of the wealth of the whole universe. Haggai 2:8 says: The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of (See also Jude 25, Psalm 24:1). From all the above, it is evident that it takes wisdom to walk in the realm of wealth.

BUT, WHAT IS WISDOM? Wisdom is all about putting God’s Word to work in our lives (Matthew 7:24-25). It implies that wisdom is simply applied knowledge. Therefore, a crave for knowledge is the highway to wisdom (Proverbs 4:7). For instance, we understand that giving is God’s wisdom that launches us into realms of financial fortune. Luke 6:38 says: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The reason many people are frustrated is because they don’t understand the wisdom of God behind giving and receiving. It is important to know that there is a time lag between our giving and receiving, just like in sowing and reaping (Mark 4:26-28).

    Biblical Wisdom for Acceptable Giving

    • We must give in FAITH: By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain…But without faith it is impossible to please him… (Hebrew 11:4-6). Therefore, it takes faith for our seed to be acceptable.
    • We must give CHEERFULLY: 2 Cor. 9:6-7 says: …He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
    • We must give WILLINGLY: 2 Cor. 8:12 says: For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath… We must not give under pressure, or we miss our rewards.
    • We must give in LOVE: Our giving to God and the poor must be love-motivated (1 Corinthians 13:3).
    • We must give HONOURABLY: It is not every seed that God receives; He receives only honourable seeds. We must understand that what is considered honourable for one is considered dishonourable for another. Therefore, we must give what is honourable at our level per time (Malachi 1:6-8, Proverb 3:9-10, 1 Samuel 2:30).
    • We must give SACRIFICIALLY: Anytime we offer our seed, we must let it bear a cost on us. For instance, David purposed not to offer burnt offerings to God, which cost him nothing. After he offered his ‘costly’ seed, the Lord was entreated for the land, and the plague ceased in Israel (2 Samuel 24:24-25).
    • We must give TIRELESSLY: This is because we can only reap our harvest in due season, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

Remember, we are ordained to walk in financial dominion and Jesus died, among other things, to connect us with the blessings of Abraham, which includes financial fortune (Genesis 13:2; Isaiah 51:1-3).

Friend, the power to access financial dominion, is for those born again. You get born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. If you are set for this, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now, I know I am born again!”

  • Engaging the covenant for financial dominion!

Engaging the covenant for financial dominion!

Last week, I showed you some examples of great lovers of God in scriptures, who walked in financial dominion. Also,I taught on why God blesses His people. This week, I will be teaching on Engaging The Covenant For Financial Dominion.

The Bible says: But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day (Deuteronomy 8:18). From this scripture, we understand that God is the only true source of financial dominion. This is because, it is only God’s Blessings that make rich and add no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22).

In my crave to know the secret of Kingdom prosperity, on March 20-22, 1982, I went on a three-day fast, armed with my Bible and the books of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland (The Law of Prosperity and God’s Will is Prosperity, respectively), searching and asking God to show me this secret. On the third day, God spoke to me from Deuteronomy 8:18. He said, “My son, My prosperity plan is not a promise, so it does not answer to prayers. It is not a promise, and so has no respect for fasting. My prosperity plan is a covenant and until your part is played, I am not committed.” These three statements changed my entire world.

This implies that, the covenant only delivers on God’s terms, not ours. Remember, we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth (1 Corinthians 13: 8).

But, What is a Covenant? A covenant can be defined as a deal enacted by God, based on well-defined terms and sealed with an oath (Hebrews 6: 12:18).

What, then is the Covenant of Financial prosperity?

It is the covenant of seedtime and harvest that provides the gateway to financial dominion (Genesis 8:20-22, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Philippians 4:15-19).

From all the scriptures above, giving is the biblical gateway to financial dominion (Acts 20: 35; Luke 6:38). That is why we must not see our giving and offerings as financial donations to the church, but as spiritual transactions for provoking divine supplies among other (2 Corinthians 9: 6-8,11; Philippians 4:19).

    How Reliable is This Covenant?

On March 22, 1982, when I asked God how reliable this covenant is, He spoke to me from Jeremiah 33:20-26. He said to me, “My covenant is as stable and reliable as the ordinance of the day and night. Until you can change that ordinance, you cannot change the covenant.” He further said, “Anytime you wake up in the morning and see the sun, know that My covenant is still in force. Whenever you look up in the night and see the moon, also know that My covenant remains in force.” That is how reliable this covenant is.

    THE BEAUTY OF THIS COVENANT

The good thing about our covenant walk with God is that:

•Everyone of us can start from where we are (Genesis 13:14-15).

•Paul said, “As God has blessed everyone, even so let him give” (2Corinthians 8:12).

•God also commanded everyone to give according to the blessings of God upon his life (Deuteronomy 16:10-12).

•When we are faithful with very little, we are on the highway to financial fortune (Luke 19:15,17).

•We can only give our way out of poverty; we cannot beg our way out, because blessing flows through what we give not through what we beg to receive (Acts 20:35;Proverbs 20:4).

The rich (giver) rules over the poor (beggar) and the borrower (beggar) is a servant to the lender (giver). This is why people bow to beg while we stand upright to give (Proverbs 22:7).

In conclusion, we cannot break forth into realms of financial fortune, except we practise the covenant of giving and receiving. Therefore, let us enlarge our coast and give to those in need, and God will in turn change our level of financial dominion from glory to glory.

Friend, the power to benefit from the above, is the preserve of those saved. You get saved by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. To be saved, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, Jesus for saving me!  Now I know I am born again!”  This week, you are going to see amazing manifestations of angelic intervention! I will be with you next week, if Jesus tarries. Stay Blessed in Jesus’ name!

  • Walking in financial dominion! (2)

    Walking in financial dominion! (2)

Last week, I showed you some platforms on which you can walk in financial dominion. This week, I will show you some examples of great lovers of God in scriptures, who walked in financial dominion. Some of them are:

    • ABRAHAM, the father of Faith

Abraham was said to be a friend of God. Note that love is the cord of friendship. Abraham was reported to be very rich(Genesis 13:2).The Bible says:…Abraham was old, and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things (Genesis 24:1).

    • DAVID, a man after God’s own heart

That is, a man with a heart for God (1 Samuel 13:14). David once testified:  …Because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God…(1 Chronicles 29:3). Every true lover of God enjoys his own proper good of gold and silver.

    • JOB, the God-addict

Job was so much in love with God that he once said: Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…(Job 13:15). We saw how much Job walked in financial dominion. The Bible records that he was the greatest of all men in the East (Job 1:1-3,8).

    • Solomon, the celebrated lover

The Bible records that Solomon loved the Lord. He proved his love by offering to God a 1000 burnt offerings, which brought him into realms of financial dominion (1Kings 3:13). Note, no one can empower himself for financial dominion. Until God empowers us, we are utterly powerless. The story of one J.C. Penny validates this fact.

    J. C. Penny was an outstanding American entrepreneur. He owned J. C. Penny network of shopping malls across North America. But more importantly, he was a believer and a tither. However, at a point, he felt the volume of his tithe was becoming too much. Then he began to rationalize what he paid. Subsequently, his business began to go down, until he went bankrupt. But by the mercies of God, he was able to retrace his steps, and began to tithe his way back up. As a result, he supernaturally came out of his ordeal. He recovered his business back and enjoyed financial fortune, until he departed to be with the Lord.

But Why does God bless His People?

God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to His Kingdom, and to the world around us. That is why:

•God will not bless anyone beyond his commitment to promoting His Kingdom (Matt. 6:33; Hag. 1:3-14).The story of John D. Rockefeller applies here. Rockefeller became a tither from the first pay cheque he received, till he went to be with the Lord at age 93. It was also reported that at one time, He gave a whooping sum of 140 million Dollars towards a university project of his church. No wonder, Rockefeller grew to be the first American billionaire in history!

•God will not bless any man beyond his commitment to blessing the needy around him, because he that giveth to the poor shall not lack (Job 29:4-12).

•God will not bless anyone beyond his commitment to impacting the nations with his fortune, because He has ordained every seed of Abraham to be a blessing to all the families of the earth. Therefore, start building a global dream of your financial fortune in Christ (Deut. 15:6; Deut. 28:12).

    Giving Priorities In The Covenant

    • Tithing: This is the capital demand for access to an open heaven, as it is the master key to a world of financial fortune (Malachi 3:10).Financial dominion is impossible without tithing.
    • Worship offering: We are admonished not to come into God’s presence empty-handed (Deuteronomy 16:16-17).
    • Kingdom promotion givings: Matthew 6:33; Haggai 1:3-14.
    • Giving to biological parents: Genesis 27:3/ 25-29; Exodus 20:12.
    • Giving to spiritual parents: Ephesians 6:1-2; 1 Corinthians 4:15.
    • Giving to the poor: Giving to the needy around us is a platform that empowers us for financial dominion (Job 29:4-12; Proverbs 28:27; Proverbs 19:17).
    • Giving for the common good: Genesis 22:17-18; Luke 10:30-36.
    • Giving to the ministers of the Word: There are blessings that accrue to us, when we give to men and women of God, who minister to our spiritual needs (Galatians 6:6-8; Luke 8:1-3; 1Corinthians 9:11; Romans 15:27).

Friend, the power to walk in financial dominion is available, if you are born again. You get born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. If you are set for it, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour.
