    Florence Okonkwo honoured as entertainment personality of the year

    Queen of Red Carpet, Florence Okonkwo, has been named Entertainment Personality of the Year by the Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK and Sierra Leone during its 25th anniversary silver jubilee celebration in London.

    The milestone event highlighted the foundation’s 25 years of impact in education, health, and food security.

    Okonkwo, who graced the occasion as a special guest of honour, pledged her continued support for the foundation and other organizations driving positive change.

    “It is truly inspiring to be part of this organization. I am grateful to be part of this award night that is filled with purpose, recognition, and celebration. Here are too many more years of progress and empowerment,” she said.

    Distinguished guests and honourees at the event included Dr. Imambay Kamara (Founder and President of DIF UK & Sierra Leone), Amb.     The event featured the premiere of ‘The Passion and Temptation of Queen Cleopatra,’ launch of a book, ‘When The Spark is Gone: A Guide to Reigniting Passion in Struggling Relationships,’ and birthday celebration.

    Florence Okonkwo spotlights African cuisines in 54 Flavours of Africa

    Nollywood actress, film producer, and entrepreneur Florence Okonkwo is set to launch the African cookbook, 54 Flavours of Africa.

    The book will be unveiled on Friday, November 8, at a star-studded event at Odeon Cinema, Greenwich, London.

    According to the author, the cookbook offers a glimpse into Okonkwo’s rich and personal culinary journey, revealing a passion for African cuisine that stems from her travels and explorations across the continent. It also features over 100 diverse recipes, taking readers on a gastronomic tour of Africa, from the savoury Jollof rice of West Africa to the aromatic tagines of North Africa, the bold curries of East Africa, and the mouthwatering grills of Southern Africa.

    Okonkwo said: “This cookbook is a vibrant celebration of Africa’s rich culinary heritage, showcasing the heart and soul of our food. It’s more than just a collection of recipes – it’s a story of culture, diversity, and the flavours that define our beautiful continent. You will find everything from the fiery jollof rice of West Africa to the fragrant tagines of North Africa, the comforting curries of East Africa, and the smoky grills of Southern Africa. I’ve included not only traditional dishes but also modern twists and fusion recipes that reflect Africa’s evolving culinary landscape.”

    Don Mark Okonkwo, Lead Editor and Publishing Partner at Elegantflix Limited, described 54 Flavours of Africa as a project designed to bring the essence of Africa straight to kitchens worldwide, connecting people to African culture regardless of their location or background.

    Okonkwo sets London agog with 3-in-1 event

    It will be a triple celebration in London on November 8 as award -winning international filmmaker, Florence Okonkwo premieres a film, launches a book, and celebrates her birthday.

    The flick, ‘The Passion and Temptation of Queen Cleopatra,’ and the book entitled ‘When the Spark is Gone,’ are the latest efforts of Okonkwo, who is widely referred to as the Queen of Red Carpet.

    The event will take place at the Odeon Cinema, Greenwich, London.

    According to Okonkwo, there is no better way to end the year than making a mark in all she loves doing.

    The film, directed by Frank Ikegwuonu features Uche Odoputa, Lucien Morgan, Bruno Iwuoha, Caz Chidiebere, Florence Okonkwo, Chiella SCO, Kareem Mohemmed, Judith Osagiobare, Victoria Obaze, Friday Ozochi, and Michael Chukwujekwu among others.
