In keeping with its mandate, Flourish Africa, the non-governmental organisation founded by Africa’s foremost businesswoman and philanthropist, Apostle Folorunso Alakija, has once again taken strides in uplifting female entrepreneurs.
Through its renowned Business and Life Skills Training Programme, a fresh cohort of 100 deserving women stands poised to receive transformative seed grants, having successfully navigated a rigorous selection process, including a compelling pitch competition.
The climax of the 7th Annual Flourish Africal conference was the announcement by Apostle Alakija of an increase in the Flourish Africa Female Entrepreneurs’ business seed grants, now raised from N2 million to an impressive N3 million.
This initiative aligns with Flourish Africa’s ambitious goal to empower at least 2,500 female entrepreneurs over the next five years.
Since 2022, Flourish Africa has successfully trained over 1,005 female entrepreneurs, disbursing N200 million in grants to 200 deserving recipients.
These efforts signify an important stride towards the organisation’s overarching mission of providing a platform for impacting women, focusing on areas such as business, career, spiritual development, love, and relationships.
